Microsoft® Select License 6.0 is a software volume licensing program designed for corporate, government, and academic customers with 250 or more desktops and mixed product and purchasing requirements. Select License 6.0 customers receive a volume price level for each pool of products selected (applications, systems, or servers) based on a three-year software forecast.

Software Assurance (SA) is a simpler way of obtaining the latest and most innovative Microsoft products, replacing the complexity of one-time upgrades (VUP - Version Upgrade; PUP - Product Upgrade; CUP - Competitive Upgrade; LUP - Language Upgrade) and Upgrade Advantage (UA). With Software Assurance, you receive the right to run the current version of the product as well as any new versions released during the term of your coverage.

Microsoft Project Server provides organizations with an extensible technology platform that they can use to securely develop and integrate their project management practices with their current business systems. As a centrally managed repository of project and resource information, Microsoft Project Server enables organizations to store data consistently, so reporting for the entire project portfolio is up to date and meaningful. Microsoft Project Server provides the scalability and flexibility required to manage projects and resources across an organization.

Increasingly, organizations are recognizing the value of actively including team members and executives in the project management process, rather than limiting access and management of project data to the project manager. By promoting collaboration and secure, controlled access to information, organizations empower internal and external team members to contribute to project tracking, resulting in accurate and up-to-date project plans. Organizations also realize the need for consistency in project reporting throughout their portfolio so they can more effectively prioritize projects and evaluate resource utilization. Armed with this knowledge, executives can ensure the alignment of initiatives with overall business objectives.
