It fits the 17" laptop very snug as well, giving me peace of mind it's not going to shake around in it. There's also a decent amount of padding on the back of the backpack to protect the laptop from any bumps or dings. Great job by Dell.

It's not just a generic backpack re-branded with Alienware logos, it's specifically designed for the Alienware M15/M17. By far the best laptop backpack I've owned, the design is really well thought out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tight Fit It's a bit of a tight fit for the 17" laptop. It does fit, and it slides in tight, but getting it out requires you really tug at it. It's still a keeper, as a bag for a 17" laptop is hard to find, but another 1/4 inch even would have been a bit more comfortable.

Now I have a useless backpack. No I didn’t read up on it before I bought it but come on why would you suggest it to go with the a51 if it doesn’t fit.

My one gripe with the bag, is that despite the given dimensions of the bag, I was not able to fit in my Asus ROG Strix Hero 3, even though I compared its dimensions with the ones of the bag. I have to keep my laptop in the general compartment. Also the huge zip opening is a welcome design, which helps to easily access larger items inside the bag.

I often additionally store my 10” tablet, it’s charger, a wireless charger for my phone, the charger for my watch, sunglasses, wireless earbuds, and travel bottle along with the other items I previously mentioned without issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You are what your name says you are. For all the confusion about what fits and what doesn't stop, take a breathe, and know that this is perfect for both the m15 and m17. How do I know? Well my friend got this and the m15 and I got the set with... you guessed it, the m17. Obviously the bigger laptop is more of a snug fit since it is the same back pack slot but that doesn't mean the m15 is too loose either. This is really a good time to trust the name of this product, these are the two laptops specifically in mind when it was designed. Others will no doubtably fit but just compare size specs against the m series. The overall size and design is great, I would definitely recommend this.

However upon receiving my bag, the label on it says it will fit up to 16.8 inches...my M17 will not fit this bag whatsoever. I tried, only to then have my laptop stuck in the bag. I had to have someone pull the bag while I pulled my laptop in order to budge it out of the mislabeled backpack. Very disappointing, especially for the price I paid. Now it just sits in my room since it’s useless for the reasons I purchased it.
