Enhanced Stacking to support a maximum of 24 switches using 1 IP address

Allied Telesis AT-8026T Fast Ethernet managed switch provides exceptional performance, ease of use and flexibility at an affordable price. Utilizing a robust 9.6Gbps non-blocking switching architecture for wire speed packet forwarding and featuring priority queuing for weighted packet management, as with all the 8000 series switches, the AT-8026T is ideally suited for deployment in small and medium enterprises, in multiunit buildings, hotels, schools and universities.

Ideally suited for small and medium businesses, hotels, schools and universities, the AT-8026T offers outstanding flexibility and scalability. Expansion bays can accommodate Gigabit Interface Converters (GBIC).

The AT-8026T model supports the Allied Telesyn signature feature Enhanced Stacking™ which enables up to 24 switches, 576 10/100TX ports, to be remotely managed by a single IP address. The 24 switches can be any combination of any models, fixed port or with expansion bays, of the AT-8000 series.

Although the 8026T can be used as Plug & Play device, an extensive range of management is provided at no additional charge. Management features include Webbased management, SNMP and Telnet, and availability via any VLAN (tagged or untagged). Firmware and configuration files may be uploaded/downloaded via TFTP, XModem (via RS-232 Console) or Enhanced Stacking™ feature.

Richly equipped with features that include IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging and IEEE 802.1p priority queuing, the 8026T allows for greater network microsegmentation and traffic prioritization. When network managers have bandwidth hungry or time sensitive data, these switches can be configured to prioritize this traffic over other types. The 8026T also features IEEE 802.3ad compliant Link Aggregation capabilities on each port, supporting up to 4 ports in a 10/100 trunk group or 2 ports in a 1000FX trunk group. Auto-negotiation and broadcast storm control capabilities on all ports are included. Additionally the Auto MDI/MDI-X feature allows easy connection to other switches from any port.
