Works well for video only
The camera itself works fine, but the mic in conjunction with the camera doesn't seem to work well for video calls -- the audio and video got of sync frequently. I was able to solve that by using the laptop's microphone instead, but that solution may not work for everyone.
Other gaps are lack of a privacy shutter or any indication of whether the camera is in use.
Took off 2 stars because of the above issues.

Price, simplicity, and service is what you can expect from Aluratek and CDW.
A cheap and effortless plug-and-play camera is what I wanted and that's what I got. The quality and features are what one should expect for this price range. In addition, CDW's fast service made the whole transaction rewarding. I've used the camera every day since I received it and I don't doubt it will have few breaks going forward.

I am really happy with this camera. It is very clear and easy to set up. I find I can adjust the view easily when it is attached to my monitor. The only thing I wish it had is a light that turns on when the camera is in use.

Aluratek Webcam for Business
The Aluratek webcam is perfectly fine and works pretty well. It live streams at 30 frame per second (FPS in 1080p HD, which is pretty good quality. I use it primarily for Cisco WebEx and Zoom business meetings. One cool feature is that you can manually adjust the focus of the camera using the physical "wheel" on the front of the webcam's lens. The webcam is also *extremely* easy to use, very plug & play. You plug it in via USB. Your apps or software "see" it there and you're off to the races. No software installation, no setup, nothing. It's very bare bones from that perspective, and that's actually why I gave it only 3-stars. I would like to be able to control, at a minimum, the brightness and contrast of the webcam. The webcam auto adjusts for lighting, but I have windows behind me, and I am unable to "hard set" the lighting on the camera; there is seemingly no manual way of adjusting the integration time; Aluratek provides no software for this, so if there is something bright in the background, a bright lamp, a window, etc, you might look dark, and the bright light look bright. As such, I've had to adjust the positioning of the camera to account for this, but I would prefer to have it where I want it and be able to adjust the settings accordingly, but there is no way to do that as near as I can tell. I know how to adjust the camera setting in WebEx as well, but WebEx does not give me any advanced options other than to change the background to something weird, and I'm assuming this is because the Aluratek webcam drivers do not expose the software apps to these settings.

Good cam but not on all tripods
Crisp image and good service. I knocked off a point because it does not fit on one of my tripods. The bend in the metal clip interferes with the tripod mount.

Top rated webcam for my Dell Laptop
Highly recommend. Was plug and play on my Dell Precision 5520 laptop. Picture quality was excellent. Seems to autofocus fine. A little more money than most webcams but worth the extra if you have the need for a higher quality image stream.

not pleased with the microphone. You almost have to have it directly in front of your face for others to hear you. Sound quality poor when clipped to the top of the monitor. I do have a large monitor though

It just works
It works. I opened the box, plugged it into my desktop, and Linux picked it up right away. No driver problems, no compatibility issues. The quality is much better than the camera on my XPS laptop, and nobody says “I can see up your nose from here!” when I meet with them on zoom or webex.

Good "emergency" webcam
Good "emergency" webcam for team meetings, video and audio quality are very good. It does flicker a bit with LED lighting in the same room. My biggest disappointment was the lack of autofocus for a camera at this price point.

Close but needs improvement
There is no rubber or padding on either side of the clamp, and no spring pressure to hold it in place so it does not sit very securely on top of the monitor. The image is great and you can adjust the focus although it is hard to see much of a difference.

Audio interference caused by archaic land line wireless base Unit. Once unit was turned off, buzz went away. Also had to add double sided tape to secure rear of mount to the Dell monitor.... easy fix. Top of mount adhered well.

Good video, no sound
For whatever reason, the picture works, but not the sound. I'm not tech illiterate, it just doesn't work with my computer. Others have mentioned this problem as well. The picture is good. Different video services require me to select SD or HD when using this camera which is cumbersome.

A Good Buy for the Price
Costing less than $100.00, I thought the Aluratek webcam was a good buy. I actually purchased two but I gave them to people I knew needed them but couldn't afford them. I personally use a camera which cost me nearly $300. The other camera gives me a better picture when I compared the two.

Picture Quality Better with Natural Light
The color/tint Is more accurate or true when using natural light. At night, there is an gold/orange tint no matter how much lighting is used. Other than that, it works fine.
