Rated 5 out of 5 byEarl from Good idea, poor executionThe design is flawed. Trying to connect peripherals on this wide surface leads to too much side-to-side motion for the USB-C connetion. This might work for a stationary set-up, but not for someone traveling or constantly on-the-go.

Rated 5 out of 5 bymtapal from Overly Expensive - Another Ridiculous Apple Product (But Have No Choice But To Buy It If Mac Shop!)We have no choice but to buy this since Apple product since Apple changed the ports on newer machine to USB-C - bad choice from Apple but they are more money conscious now than customer centric and that has changed within the last few years. The product does not work properly (more negative reviews can be also found on Apple's website through customer complaints) and is very dicey to use, sometimes works, sometimes does not. Plus you have to carry these bulky dongles along with your newer machine; a completely ridiculous solution in an enterprise setup when you are moving across rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 byShawn from Great Design and PerformanceThis is a great product because it does what it's supposed to do. In my case, I had a late 2016 MacBook pro 15". That means I gave up all of my accessories connecting directly and now need adapters to go to Thunderbolt 3, aka USB-C. One great feature is that the USB-C supports USB 3.1's top speed of 10Gbps, and also allows for bi-directional power, which opens up many enticing possibilities. But perhaps the top benefit is that you can do away with the messy array of proprietary power adapters and USB cables, in favor of a single compact, robust solution that works well for all devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 byjvmalibu from Lifesaver for newer McBook ProsI have the latest MacBook Pro and not enough ports, so this really comes as a lifesaver. It connects pretty easily, nicely package, and easy to carry everywhere. You could potentially use only this as your main hub.
