ICOMP-OUT is a license code that can be ordered by customers who have purchased one of the following Black Box iCOMPEL Digital Signage Products:
AC4000A-VID,
AC4001A,
AC4002A-VID,
AC4003A,
ICOMP-VID,
ICOMP01-VID
By purchasing the ICOMP-OUT license code, functionality gets unlocked on the iCOMPEL device which allows the player unit to multicast one (1) digital TV channel as an MPEG UDP IP multicast on to a LAN.
iCOMPEL customers can scan TV channels from Digital Cable TV into their iCOMPEL unit (must be one of the –VID units), and use this license to stream one CATV channel out to other remote iCOMPEL units which are equipped with a stream-in license. In this scenario, all remote units (meaning the iCOMPEL units that have the Stream-In license and are set up to receive the video) are not required to be the –VID devices, All network switches and routers need to support layer 3 IGMP multicasting.
