My Review for HL-L6400DWT
The Printer tends to hold the toner on the roller and a ghost image shows up farther down on the page. Warranty does not cover the fuser unit. This unit needs to be replaced after 200,000 copies. We replaced the fuser and Brother would not let us know how to reset the fuser counter. The local Service center provided fuser reset instructions; but, the printer remained in a self diagnostic state and would not print. So we needed take the printer to our local service center. This is a lot to do for the replacement of a printer part.

Fast and sturdy
I am particularly impressed with how quickly this machine prints and processes paper. It feels and looks very sturdy and prints papers reasonably quiet. I expect this machine to work for us for a long time.

Best Value out there!
I have been using Brother printers for years for my Notary/signing agent business. This printer does exactly what it was designed to do, that is churn out huge volumes of paperwork with no hassles. Do your homework, if your primary requirements are excellent paper handling, fast speed and low overall cost - you can't beat these.

Efficient
Love the larger toner cartridges, error free printing. Would like it better if printer would stop when paper tray is empty, instead of going to different size paper.

The printer is good but the toners stop printing at 5K to 6K instead of 12K that is supposed to. Had to spend a lot of time on the phone to get help and get it reset so we could use the rest of the toner. This happened with 8 out of the 13 printers we have.

Unable to get this printer to function on a network
The Brother HL-L6400DWT prints very fast and very quietly. It has good capacity for both letter and legal size paper. The problem is that it will not function reliably on a network. It works just well enough to make us hope that it will fulfill our needs, but continually fails. I don't know if this is a lemon or if the printer just does not work well.

Great for printing documents with multi size paper
The dual tray works perfectly for my notary loan signing business by having the capability of automatically printing on two different size papers within one document. Both the printing speed and the price point are excellent!

Beware of Live Chat
Great Printer that works well. However, I tried to connect it over my network and it initially worked then stopped. When I call Support (Live Chat I was given all kinds of different fixes that did not work. Finally connected it directly myself and it works fine.

Mac users beware!
Duplex printing does not work with Mac. I have to use a windows laptop to print documents with mixed media. Otherwise it’s a great printer!!
