Every time I try to scan, there are issues, and it takes close to 2 hours to resolve on the phone. Buy something else or test the scanner right after you buy it and again 2 weeks later so you can still return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, one caveat Printing, scanning and copying is very easy, especially with the automatic feeder. Only issue is that I needed to add the printer by IP address on my computers for it to respond. Fortunately, the printer's IP is easy to read on screen.

The only drawback I've come across is that the touch screen isn't very touchy. I find myself having to press... and press... and press again, before it will do what I want to do.

The software tells me that there is an update, but when I click on it, I get an error. The rep. said to not worry about it; that it may be fixed with the next version of Windows.

Without installing any software on my Windows 10 PC I signed into the printer by typing it’s IP address in my browser, signed in and your done. 4. Cloud scanning – another awesome feature that works. You can set scans to automatically upload to a specified folder in Dropbox/Onedrive/Evernote/etc. You can also set up email addresses for the scans to be sent to. You can have multiple options in case you want one sent to your work account, or another sent to Dropbox as a backup. I have one set up just for receipts and it captures everything and uploads it to my deductions folder in Dropbox. 5. Printing from mobile – either by the Brother iPrint app (which you can also trigger prints via NFC, or by Google Cloud, Airprint, etc. you can print full-sized docs from your mobile device. I set this up in minutes via the Brother app really nice interface for Android, and really effective. 6. Auto 2-side printing – for super efficient paper conservation 7. Large paper tray – holds 150 pages This printer, fax and copier gives a LOT of bang for your buck and is worth it in every way!

I am hoping for better results for this printer, which a consumer magazine rated as most reliable. So far so good.

Bought a 2nd printer for working from home and tried to have it set up wireless also...as a result of the "help" call, when I went back to my home model...it no longer worked wirelessly! So i've had to set it up with a cable also. Problem with that is I can no longer print from the phone or tablet!! Not happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Mulit-purpose Device Up and running in minutes - easy set up. Unusual now days - the device did everything it claimed it would do. Customer Support great. Set up on my wireless network and operational in minutes. Only one problem that was resolved by Customer Support - immediate response by Customer Svc - no "on hold waiting for an agent". The issue occurred when the printer would "go to sleep". From that point forward it could no longer be recognized by my IOS devices - I would have to "restart" the printer each time to be recognized. Customer service resolved issue within 5 minutes on first call - provided a link to download upgraded firmware. Great Customer Svc - I think for the life of the device

If the machine is set on a table next to a wall it is almost impossible to print envelopes. I do not recommend buying this machine if you intend to print envelopes. A real let down

I have over 30 brother printers in operation now and really like them. I only give this unit 3 stars because of the lack of toner yield. High yield toner still is only in th mid 2000 prints. So it scores an average star rating only because of small print yield. If they could do 6000 to 8000 on this unit, it would be a 5+ rating.

Setup was simple; the printer came with an installation disk, and once I registered my product on the Brother site, everything synched; it was amazingly easy. I've had no trouble since I purchased this printer, unlike the HP Officejet all in one it replaced. It stays online, everyone can print with different versions of Windows, and the quality is excelllent. I highly recommend this printer to anyone needing a medium level all in one; I've had several and this is the best BY FAR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer Upgrade Have had a HP inkjet printer for a number of years. Got tired of buying tricolor ink when I rarely print anything in color. The slow speed was a minor distraction. So, I decided to go laser B&W. Since I have no need for the wireless capability, I hardwired the MFC 2720 directly to my Apple iMac. Printing is fast and crisp. Scanning has worked well.

Instead of just putting the envelope into the paper tray, you have to open up the back, move two green levers down, then go to the front and figure out what size envelope you are using(Brother doesn't tell you how to put your envelope in the back of the printer, whether it's supposed to be lengthwise or widthwise) and THEN you can select print from your appplication. Why Brother didn't make the envelope printing function user friendly I have no idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic printer but ugly charcoal color why did they change this printer from a black to a charcoal color? you cannot even tell the color is black on the web site. black matches any office decor and charcoal is a terrible eye sore. at least offer two color choices. this printer has touch screen but also touch plastic surface. if you touch the glowing numbers on the plastic surface, it dials your fax. the printer is compact and has a deep paper storage tray to hold half a ream. its very fast and efficient. the software and drivers miraculously just work as they should, which is a miracle for printing companies. though it does not print as well as an HP (no printers really have that signature distinct better image quality that HP haas), the quality difference is negligible, and all of these other factors made me never go back to HP again.

I am still having some problems getting the wireless functions to work, but the printing is quick and perfect. It is silent on stand-by, but somewhat noisier than my old one when working, which is a very minor consideration. All things considered, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Extremely satisfied with Brother printers. Previous plain laser printer just wore out after several years of use. Very pleased with the upgrade to this all-in-one printer/copier/scanner. Plus it has fax capabilities but have no need for that function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother Printer - No More Countless Ink Cartridges THANK you Brother for my great printer, and for your great Customer Service when I desperately needed help; your technical support team was there for my family and I when we had set-up questions as New Users. The most significant feature that I LOVE about my Brother Printer is the professional quality of the print copies; this is extremely important when I have to mail important correspondence to a government agency or regarding educational projects as a homeschooling parent. Also, my printer saves me money because I am not buying little ink cartridges over and over again. I have saved a lot of money on print cartridges with my Brother Printer because the toner cartridges last so long. My Brother Printer was a Great Purchase, and I will trust the Brother Brand when I purchase a color printer in the near future.

By a long time I mean atleast 10 years! This machine does everything I need it to do and it does it headache and hassle free. I love love love this brand.

I have done everything to get it working but to no avail. The flatbed works well but becomes a pain when say you have six documents to scan and then each has to be done individually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unsupported garbage No support at all, won't work with Catalina, chat support doesn't connect, support email won't submit. Wifi has never worked, could get the ADF to work via a USB cable, now even that doesn't work.
