Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good I know that Brother provides superior products and delivery is usually prompt. The servide reps are very knowledgeable and helpful. I am going to order 5 more cartridges today! Less expensive cartridges are not worth the savings. I will continue to use Brother!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Clear I have had between 12-15 Epson & HP and none have ever printed this fast or had such detail and clarity

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor print quality I want to love this printer so much. This speed is amazing. But the quality of colour is just light! The magenta prints pink, red prints magenta, black prints very lightly pigmented and is extremely faded or looks gray....even brand new cartridge. I am NOT happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defective I am on my initial cartridges and have already have to go to a copy center when I need printouts of decent quality. Followed all trouble shooting advice for resolving black streaking and it only made the problem worse; now I am supposed to replace the cartridge, but it is only about 55% consumed. This is not good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from defec tive right from the start maybe it is Staples that is the problem, but i just bought a Brother yellow tn223Y toner - NOT a compatible at 1/3rd the price. opening the fresh box, the primary charge roller has one side that has no color on it at all. it is a shame that Brother mandates you use only their expensive toner cartridges and the quality is not any better than compatibles. and i have had to call Brother 6 times in the last 2 days to try and resolve problems with the connections with my computer and fax issues. still not resolved. very dissatisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smudging all over After printing only 5 sheets with a brand new L:3290CDW, the back toner started to smudge across the entire sheet. The brand new printer and the genuine Brother supplies. It looks like a total waste of money. Brother should fix that problem free of charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Purchased the Brother MFC-L3710CW for a small office and it has been nothing but horrendous. Within months the ink supplies were depleting rapidly and the printing is horrific. Our invoices are barely visible to customers and there is a constant issue with this machine. Definitely do not recommend for business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Genuine Brother POOR quality These ARE genuine Brother cartridges, yet everyone who posts that they are poor quality or print only a small fraction of the claimed pages gets the response that they should verify they are using genuine Brother cartridges. This is clearly a problem with the genuine Brother cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from leaky toner spills everywhere and ruins the prints I purchase this from Staples after running out of the first standard yield one came with the printer. After dozens of printing, it stared printing black smudge all over and leak the toners seriously. It ruined my days of work and unreachable customer service wasted my time seriously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible cartridge I have always loved Brother printers, but mine has become useless. The first time I had to replace the cartridge it started spreading ink all over the pages. Which caused it to begin running low after fewer than 100 copies. I am a teacher who can't afford this. The cost of the cartridge is already outrageous, and now I'm paying for unreadable copies and cleaning up ink all over my table.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HATE TO BUY AGAIN The initial toner was great, my replacement is terrible, smudging, black spots. I have to take it out and clean it before I print copies I need for work. Now, it's time for me to replace and what choice do I have but to buy more toner from Brother. I love my printer but why should I keep it when I can't have quality prints due to the black toner issue. Very unhappy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor quality TN227BK Bought this toner thinking I would get top quality. Unfortunately not. After only using about 40% I started getting black splotches of toner on the printouts. The support instructions were "replace the toner cartridge". Learned my lesson. Might as well buy 3rd party toner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems with 227 cartridges I installed a black high density cartridge after the original one ran out. I was not disappointed in the number of copies printed from the original cartridges, nor the quality of prints. My colored cartridges have now run low, and I'll be replacing them with high yield ones. If these cartridges do not perform, I will change my review, but I am very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs out of ink faster than older printer TN580 The Toner TN-227K Black High Yield runs out of ink fast. The older printer with TN-580 Toner last much longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible product I waited on hold for two hours to speak with someone about a "no toner error on my machine. What a waste of time and money this printer is

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Toner! My Brother laser printer worked great until the first time that I had to replace the toner. I bought this Brother-brand toner and it was a disaster. It left smears on the papers from day one and only got worse over time. This was a huge waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I get maybe a few hundred prints I purchased two of these printers for my office and I’ve had to replace these toner cartridges after a few hundred prints at most. I think it’s too convenient that brother claims up to* 2,300 prints when in regular use we’re averaging 20% of what’s claimed. I bought these printers hoping to save money in the long term and may now have to replace them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leaves Black streaks on pages Replaced the black toner cartridge for the first time since buying my brother printer brand new. About 3 months into ownership it was time to replace the black toner so I bought this high yield one (genuine Brother brand). Not only was I not emailed an invoice for business write off purposes, this unit leaves black smudges on every single paper and I have already tried cleaning out the drum/roller unit. It looks like it's a common thing. Try to find a better alternative. There's no reason why anyone should be experiencing this with a brand new printer and brand new toner cartridge that is the same brand as the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TN227BK toner cartridge smudging I have had to replace two black toner cartridges for the new printer (MFC-L3750CDW) I purchased a couple of months ago. The smudging from that black toner cartridge is bad. The solution offered was to replace the toner cartridge. I am now on my third new Brother black cartridge. Very expensive. Brother needs to come up with a fix for this fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheaply Made Product I purchased this toner from Staples on 9/15/20; it was delivered and installed on 9/16/20. I did not print anything close to 3000 pages and it already stopped working. Shaking it to get a little more life does not even work anymore. It's cheaply made and ridiculously expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent We have used these high yield ink cartridges and find they are very good compared to other products we have used in the past, I recommend them highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother deleted my review from yesterday First, they will brick your printer if you use any toner except their brand, then they delete reviews that tell the truth about this. Brother- Do you read the reviews for this toner? Please tell us why should we trust your brand of toner over any other?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Print density is an issue I was taken aback by the life of the original cartridges, and am hoping the new extended capacity cartridges will be better. I reduced the image density (from the control panel) in the hopes of extending the life of all the cartridges. What I was surprised to find was that once the black cartridge signaled to be replaced, the other colors soon followed suit. I have never had a color printer do this. We specifically went mostly B&W, reserving color only when needed. Now, I am 300 pages in to the cartridge, and the black is showing 90%. Even with density turn back down? Is it real? Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New toners not recognized by printer. Our office purchased a new Brother printer in August that take this model toner cartridge. We've received at least 6+ of these brand-new sealed toners that our printer will not recognize. After replacement, it goes right back to displaying "Replace Toner". This has become quite expensive, frustrating, and not sustainable. After spending at minimum of an hour on chat with a representative, I'm told a replacement toner will be mailed out. I appreciate your ability to rectify the issue in the short-term, but what is the long-term solution? If you have a bad batch then issue a recall. We've already been told that it is a toner issue, not a printer. This needs addressed asap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer ever If I could offer a 0 star review I would. Bought this printer from Best Buy (L3770CDW), that uses this 227 or 223 ink. The prices are obscene - we paid $450+ for a set of ink that Brother claims offers 3000 average sheets. About a month ago. With just a few hundred pages printed since then, we are now being told our colour ink is almost out, and our black ink is done. The costs are insane, and the volume of printing they do is nowhere near what is advertised

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Banding and smudging with 90% of toner left I finally replaced a 15+ year old Brother B&W laser printer with a scanner/color laser unit. After I used up the black toner cartridge shipped with the printer, I replaced it with this high yield cartridge. With a 3000-page rating, I assumed it would last me for years, but after 8 months (with 90+% of its capacity remaining) it began printing with smudging and vertical bands. After doing all the cleaning and troubleshooting, the problem persisted. Replacing the cartridge fixed the problem immediately. The 90-day warranty Brother offers is a joke. I'm left with a nearly full but useless cartridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useless Waste of Money My Brother printer does not recognize these cartridges. I spent a lot of money on one of each color of the high yield and now none of them work. These are genuine Brother cartridges in my Brother printer, yet somehow they don't work with one another. These are useless. Before buying these cartridges, just save yourself the time and money and buy another brand printer. I now have to look for another printer because if their own brand toner won't even work with their own brand printer, then I'm guessing no other brand toner will work either.
