Rated 5 out of 5 by from DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY....BUY SOMETHING ELSE!! The reviews are correct about having a very difficult time connecting to WiFi. It took hours to connect and then twice in 2 months it lost connection so I had to reinstall.....I have the fastest residential and strongest signal. It is a CANON fault software/hardware issue!! There are NO ICC PROFILES for different paper. Some forums claim to have found some but I cannot find any for Canon paper. You are thinking why would I need this or what is it.......it's technical so search YouTube. BUT if you use a photo editing program and want to make extreme adjustments to correct badly exposed photos you WILL need ICC PROFILES for specific paper otherwise you will get small white lines "banding" HOWEVER, print quality is outstanding, sharp and colorful if you don't make many editing adjustments. Third party inks work very well at an 1/8th of the price of CANON ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer, not so good packaging. The one thing that I think is very important is to include a USB high-speed interface cable. It’s advertised as having that ability but no hardware to interface it to the computer. Please include the cable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool to print my personal photos with I just got this printer a few weeks ago but I absolutely love it! The quality of the photos is amazing. The only thing I didn't anticipate was how big it really would be on my desk. I can't wait to share the beautiful pictures I printed with family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMPLETE and TOTAL FAIL of a PRINTER!!!!!!! Gosh I can't begin to describe how disappointed and irritated I am at the horrible quality of this product. I have spent literally ALL DAY trying to download drivers and keep it connected to Wifi. Every time it says it's connected, I get halfway through a test print for it to tell me that it is no longer connected to the internet. The router has been right next to it, I tried disconnecting all other devices in the house, and still. NOTHING. Trying calling support and was on hold for over an hour and finally hung up. This is the biggest piece of junk I've ever purchased in my life. I had an Epson before this and took a risk switching to Canon. Welp, just lost a customer for life. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRINTER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PIXMA iP8720 Enhancements I have always used Canon printers for printing my home photography work. The PIXMA iP8720 is replacing a PIXMA iP6700D which has served me well for 14 years. The iP8720 print quality is superior to the previous model and the ability to print on larger size media is a terrific upgrade. I am also pleased that the standard Black print tank is a double-width which will provide longer periods between cartirdige replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photo printer but disk tray feature has failed We've had this printer for almost 2 years and used it heavily for scrapbook photos and DVD labels. Up to recently, it's been great! However the other day it started rejecting the disk tray when attempting to print on DVD's. Tried cleaning the tray, swapping printable DVD's and being sure to follow the proper DVD printing procedure - all to no avail. Canon technical support has been absolutely no help. They don't have a repair service for this printer and the only parts they sell for it are print cartridges. They recommended buying a new one from Canon for a 10% discount. Sure we got almost 2 years of good use out of it but now we're stuck with a Pixma iP8720 boat anchor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful prints I have printed several 13x19 prints with the iP8720 printer and LOVE the quality I am getting. Personally tho, I feel linking the printer wirelessly is far more involved than it should be, and for now I have opted to connect it via USB.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 13×19, Wireless, and Beautiful! As a former marketing rep that worked for Canon printers, I can testify that this is a phenomenal printer. The resolution is the highest out there for photo printing, and with the color balanced monitor, the results are spectacular. Canon is the best for photo printing, hands down. In fact, HP has used Canon tech in their own laser and ink printers for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Photo Quality I bought this a few days ago. After trying 5 times to follow instructions for WiFi set up, I gave up on trying. Just Ask tech help did not make it work either. So I used a USB cable to set up the printer. The photo quality is great but for the 44 I think it should be easier to set up Wifi.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Curiosly doubtful I am enjoying my new pixma ip87220 it is easy to set up, no problems with wireless hook up. For the short time I've used this printer I highly rate it over other photo printers I have owned. I've done a few 8.5 x11 portraits and the results were amazing they were as near lab quality as possible Canon you have out done yourself with the Pixma ip 8720. Great product. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied. The physical aesthetic of the printer itself is gorgeous in my opinion. I really like the quality of the images that it produces, and it was also quite easy to set up. As a hobbyist photographer who started doing photography as a form of mental therapy, this printer is a very nice addition and I love it. This is also the first printer I've personally owned since the early 2000s.

I was super excited about this printer and it definitely was boosted up more than it should have been.. you would think there would be a little lcd screen also. I have to pull my laptop out to see what is going on. Also it doesn’t connect to my laptop lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon The colors are great. It uses a lot of ink. I couldn't set it up without tech support. But, tech support is great. It doesn't print double sided documents. No display screen. It's okay but I would not purchase this model again. I would like to return it but the model that I want is not available and I need the printer now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best printer of its type. I purchased this printer for printing graphic projects. 99.99% of my personal print work is of graphic projects; photos, etc. This printer accomplishes these tasks beautifully. Setup was quick and easy. Print output is outstanding. It took a bit of time before printing started, however. Having used Canon printers for years and having 3 Canon printers in use in my home currently I have found that to be characteristic behavior. I like that it is simply a printer; no scanner and no fax. It has a simple, mechanical on/off switch. At the time that I am writing this review I have had this printer for only two weeks but have printed several projects and am very pleased with this printer. Ink consumption is low and output quality is high. I would not hesitate to recommend this printer to others. My location is the Pacific Northwest. My "expertise" is advanced amateur. I have been a Canon customer for at least 11 years and own and use several Canon products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long overdue upgrade So far so good, mostly. I did notice that trying to print on paper other than letter (11x17 didnt work with the canon selphy phone app. The printer did get caught in some kind of loop while printing one time and didnt complete the print job and was difficult to clear the print queue. Most of the time it prints well with good quality. The photos printed on photo paper have turned out beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good wide format printer Actually I could rate this printer 5 star except for our experience with an earlier Canon printer I bought for my wife. An ip7220 printer. It is so bad that I came close to looking for a printer other than Canon for myself after many years of better luck. Even after Canon replacing the original, it is very slow & noisy preparing to print. And it has a hard time picking up paper from the lower tray if there is any slight irregularity on an edge. My new ip8720 is solid, & quiet as it prepares to print quickly & does a very good job with both text & prints. A good thing is both my wife's printer and my new one use the same ink cartridges. Thanks for that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful printer This replaced the ip6600D that I had for ten years before it finally died. The i8720 looks stylish, and I love the ability to print on larger paper. I like being able to completely close the printer so I don’t have to worry about dust or pet hairs getting inside. The photos I have printed from my 20D look amazing. I have several photos hanging on my walls, and they look like professional prints. The pigment inks let you decoupage prints onto canvas or other surfaces for craft projects, without the colors running or bleeding. This printer seems to get into terrible disagreements with Photoshop if the file color is set to RGB. Standard print will cause colors to come out way too dark. The print profile that looks the best for our RGB files is BJ Color Printer Profile 2000, which I think was in the list from my ip6600D. Runner-up was Generic Monitor, which I believe came with Photoshop, but the red & orange are still a tad too dark. I absolutely love Canon products, and I’m hoping this printer will last ten years like my old one did. Canon may want to consider updating the drivers for when RGB graphics are printed, but that’s not enough of an issue to lower my rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unable to connect to network I tried to connect the printer to the network with 2 Mac, 2 PC, 1 iPhone, never connected to the network, the instructions in Spanish are not clear, they say things inconsistent. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely hard to get to work I got this printer about a year to two years ago because I saw someone online who really enjoyed hers for printing pictures. I really wanted to be able to print the larger sized pictures so I thought I would try this out. The setup was a NIGHTMARE. I absolutely could NOT get it to set up from my Mac. My husband couldn't either, and he finally got it to set up using his PC. Now, for some reason, I have THREE "Canon iP8720" printers in my list of printers to select for printing (Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3. I get an error with every single one i try printing with. If i ever can get it to print, it works nicely and is quiet, but i seriously spend a couple of hours trying to get the thing to work each time I use it, which really is not very convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is it so big? I am still waiting and hoping for a replacement for the Pixma 4920 for photo printing with a rear load. I started using Canon all the way back from the 4300, 4500, 4600, 4700 and 4920 versions. This printer is far to big to just print wallet size or 4x6 photos. The good news is that at least they added back in the rear feed in this version vs. the 7220 before it. Now if they would only listen and reduce the size for regular 8x10, 4x6 and wallet prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept falling off wireless I couldn't get this to stay connected. Nothing wrong with my wireless network. Then I ended up with four or five IP8720 series on my printer queue. Cartridges ran out quickly. I did like the large scale printing but would never recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of garbage I have now owned this printer for several months and it has never worked. The WiFi does not work and the iPhone app only works sporadically. I have only been able to successfully print about six pictures. The printer jets have repeatedly clogged and after several attempts have not been able to rectify the problem. I would not recommend the 8720 and will never buy another Canon printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Print Head Will Not Move I bought this approx. 2 years ago and have hardly used it in that time. I have printed maybe 10 pictures and 80 documents. Now the print head is stuck over to the right and will not budge. Telephone tech support tried to help but were unable. Now I have to pay to get it fixed (if it's worth it) and it's barely broken in. My last pixma ip4000 lasted 10 years. I am not happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good... Bought this as a replacement for an older Canon that started leaking black ink. It was time to go. I wanted a good photo-quality printer first. I also do everyday printing (emails, articles, etc.). This thing does not disappoint. The photos are beautiful. I have one picture of my grandchildren in the ocean. They are wearing bright orange shirts/trunks. It's beautiful. No running between the orange and the aqua and the white. Very crisp all around in what I would think would be a hard photo to print. I haven't tried black and white photos yet. Regarding everyday docs: It does fine. We keep it in draft mode to keep down ink use. I have had somewhat of a hard time using the wi-fi connection with my laptop. (Our desktop is hard-wired to it.) I hope I have finally got it right. The instructions on setting up the wi-fi capability are a little confusing, in my opinion. Summary: if you are looking for a great photo printer that will do everyday docs, this is the one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So disappointed Out of the box I was surprised to look at my counter and hands to find a rainbow of splattered colors from the cartridges leaking. Be very careful to stay away from rugs and nice clothing when installing. I used multiple Macs, Air, Mac PRO, IMAC, and Macbook Pro all on the same network. I have a very difficult time trying to set up on the network. I went to USB and the printer will disappear and the I have to restart the computer. So far it is a real hassle. It must be a great windows printer but as a MAC owner I will probably trash it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Nice Quality, No Wireless Success Very pleased with the quality and speed of printing, however it has never been recognized on our home network Wi-Fi. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Primary Printer I bought this printer to serve as a support and subsequently replacement for my old inkjet printer. This has worked so well that my old inkjet printer has been boxed up for recycling. This is now my one only printer and it is, up to this point, an excellent primary printer. The colors are beautiful and my clients like the results as well. Perhaps later this year, I get another one to add as a support and backup printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon still sells this - no print head available Canon is still selling this printer but can't offer a replacement print head for it. At least, I can't find in on their website. The printer does a very good job with a wide range of paper sizes and stock when it works, but if the print head goes belly up, you're out of luck if you want to get an official, from Canon print head, your printer will end up in the trash. Of course, Canon's website is a mess to navigate anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is only PC Software included? I wanted another Canon printer for a specific purpose-to print copies of photos made with my I-phone. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box from Amazon and the only software included was for PC's!!! How hard would it be for Cannon to include a $.50 CD with Apple appropriate drivers for the MILLIONS of I-phone and I-pad users who would like to save a little time and effort and not to expend the extra time to track down what is essential to use the printer. Canon is a great product, someone needs to back it up and package the software for Apple users. I would have given it two more stars if both users software had been included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I purchased the Canon IP8720 when my previous Canon printer started to fail. I contacted Canon directly, and their representative was very helpful, listening to what I wanted and sending me in the right direction. The order department was also helpful, and I received my new Canon printer PLUS many bonuses, in record time. The speed is great and the quality so much better than my previous printer, especially for photographs. Very happy with the printer AND with Canon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disapointed I was very excited to get this printer. My husband has used Canon for years and we purchased an i3 a year ago and were very pleased. But this printer has been a disappointment. Not very good set up instructions to start with but was fairly easy to figure out. Started off great but then started eating paper and pulling in paper crooked and ripping inside of printer. Very quiet and quality is awesome when working correctly. Easy return and very nice and helpful call in return. I will try again for another one but for now disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer - ink configuration confusing The printer is highly rated and works well however ordering ink is made confusing because two (2) black ink cartridges are necessary: a regular-sized black ink cartridge and an XL black ink cartridge: the printer won't work without both cartridges installed and with adequate ink. So if you order your printer with 4 refill cartridges, as I did, you will still find yourself unable to print unless you also ordered a refill XL black ink cartridge. Strangely Canon does not seem to sell a complete refill set of ink cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this printer! I truly don’t understand the issues that some people are having with this printer. I’ve had mine for about three or four years, now. It’s been running strong the whole time. I will admit that I did have some issues with getting it to work wirelessly, at first, but after about a year and a half I re-read the instructions, and set it up using my network. All I can figure is that I must have felt rushed or excited, and overlooked something when first setting it up. other than that I’ve had no issues with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with purchase I would have given it a 5 star, but was unable to find a manual online to assist me in printing 12x12 photos. Once I figured it out I was happy with the quality of the print. This is my 1st Canon, having purchased 7 other from another leading manufacturer. Photo images are clear & the photos come out completely dry to sticky finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality results from this printer. My wife and I bought this model because our son has one, he has one for his small business. As it turns out we were correct in buying it, we keep both running all the time. Also we bought extra ink cartridges thinking we would need them right away, but we are still printing from the ink cartridges that it came with. Nice job Canon. We get a lot of compliments on our printing. People will ask who does your printing? Again nice job Canon. Then you tell them it was done at home on a Canon printer, their next question is how much is the printer? So we are getting high quality results from this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Art Prints Just finished my first set of art poster prints with the pixma iP8720 and they look gorgeous!! I was nervous about the wireless set up because I'd read a few bad reviews but I had absolutely no trouble at all, it was all set up and hooked up within 15 minutes. I'm using 11x17 luster photo paper and they print a lot faster than I would have imagined. So far I'm loving this printer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very functional for my needs I am a Canon junky. I have not had trouble with printers, ink or paper. Costs more but trouble free. Now for this printer. You can print on DVDs which is easy and with included softwre can be creative. Cartridges are larger than normal but can be purchased with extra ink. Machine is fast not noisy nd prints beautifully. Ink comes with machine but doesn't last long. Order ink in advance an d have on hand. Machine is large so make room for it. Canon included software is getting better and is now very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this printer! Bought 4 months ago. I love the way the ink tanks are configured! The Black Pigment cartridge is strictly for Text. The printer is smart enough to know when to use it. That saves the Black Dye (photo) ink. Each color is replaced individually, as needed, saving money. All 6 of the ink tanks can use a regular size or an XL (extra capacity) size. The ink goes a long way compared to my previous HP printer and the photos look great. I also love the way the ink cartridges have an LED that flashes when it needs to be replaced, so you easily find and replace the correct cartridge. A steady light means it is working correctly. I don't print borderles, so I can't comment on that, but I do print 13 x 17 format and have had no problems. I don't use any of the wireless capability either, might someday. Love it, love it, love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer! My old PhotoPrinter (Which I likedquit on me. I started reading printer reviews. I decided to get this one because the price was reasonable ,and I like the fact it used multiple cartridges to print. photo's . I tested it by printing 4x6's, and 8x10's. and text.I didn't try any larger prints but the fact it can do larger prints is a plus. The print quality was great I'm very satisfied with the printer. It's easy to install I just installed the software and plugged it into my USB port. Some of the software doesn't work like Image Garden. But since I use a photo program I really didn't care. It definitly does what I bought it for to print photo's and text when needed. Great printer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good to be able to print large photos I've now had this printer for about two months, and am pleased with it so far. I did not have the problems others reported in setting it up with my Apple desktop. I get very good enlargements to 13x19 and use the printer along with another smaller Pixma MG6320 for different kinds of jobs. In my experience, problems with these machines often don't turn up for some time - and after one has written a review! One problem I do anticipate is running out of ink often and having to pay an exorbitant price for the Canon replacements. But that applies to most all printers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photo printer The Canon Pixma iP8720 is an ideal printer for the serious amateur or professional. Images are very professional looking and rival those of a photo lab print. Installation and operation are very straight forward. Wireless works as advertised. This is a extremely good buy for the investment. As with all printers the original ink supplied with the printer does not last long. However, the quality is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Setup My experience does not match reviews. I am currently 3 hours and 45 minutes into troubleshooting this printers setup and I am installing on a 2017 MacBook Pro. I have calmly tried to set up via both manuals offered by Cannon, but am unable to print as of this very moment. The experience has been so frustrating in fact, that I regret it, and will seek an alternative brand solution to my printing needs in the future

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed at CD/DVD print feature I bought this printer mainly because it was advertised to print directly on blank CD/DVD disks. After struggling with this for a year I have been informed that it only works with Canon's pre-designed templates, not my own label designs. This completely negated my reason for buying this printer. To be fair, it prints great photos and documents with very few problems; however I could have gotten as much good from a much simpler, smaller, and less expensive Canon printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Printer! I have owned this printer since Christmas, 2019. Hefty little bugger! I am very happy with everything this printer does. A screen menu on the printer, itself, would be nice but I can live without it. My prints are gorgeous and my everyday printing looks like something from an actual publisher! Although setting up printer and color profiles can sometimes be daunting, I suggest doing so. Color calibrating your monitor is always a good idea, too. High capacity replacement ink is about $30 LESS than it was for my Epson xp-430 which used only 4 cartridges! For my needs, I am very pleased with the iP8720.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid printer We use these printers at the office. It's been over 4 years at least. No problems, easy to use, prints on DVD surfaces with good client presentation quality. Large format is also good. Wifi for some of these pixma is a hassle, so we just wired it to the network. But we need solid color printers and this pixma fits the bill. The more functionality you add, the more chances that something will go wrong, so keep it simple if you have time-sensitive work. What is wrong with the canon review form? It works badly on DuckDuckGo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer great, software bad Great quality prints. Eats ink fast but it’s worth it. The software is absolutely terrible for who this printer is made for. The software is so basic and limited that it’s frustrating, I’d thought canon would have something better to pair with such a great machine. The software has the functionality but it’s pretty poorly set up and not at all intuitive. This is a pro-sumer level printer and as such should have something more powerful print handling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color calibration issues having trouble getting this to print colors correctly. First Photoshop & the printer were double-handling colors, resulting in pinkish, dark prints. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Print Quality Is Good, WiFi Horrible This printer works well, when it opts to work properly. I'd estimate at least 75% of the time I get a printer error usually associated with either a bad connection, no connection, or some other reason that it won't print. it doesn't seem to matter whether its a wifi connection or USB. Easily the least reliable printer I've ever owned. I've tried every conceivable fix, every online suggestion, I've installed and re-installed drivers ... nothing will make this horrible printer work with any reliability at all. This will be the dead last Canon printer, or Canon anything for that matter, that I will ever own. As I write this, the IP8720 is apparently no longer made. If you're thinking of buying a used one, good luck ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent For Both Photos & Printing I've had this printer for over 18-months. I use it for professional photo printing as well as for regular printing. The ink which I use is of the highest quality on very expensive photo paper including Metallic as well as on Canon brand paper. It is used for a number of prints from invoices to receipts to articles and all are quite superior. No qualms about it whatsoever. Then again, I've been using Canon printers since 2002 and only purchase those with individual ink tanks. I've printed nearly 15,000 documents and close to 1,000 photos with it. Haven't used the CD/DVD print system yet. Because of my experience, I purchased another one as a birthday gift for a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wifi is obsolete and impossible to set up I'm a network engineer so it's not for lack of knowledge. The printer has no way of letting you know it successfully connects so you have to rely on your wifi router for that. It also only configures in 2.4ghz which is dumb. Especially as many routers will connect at highest available speed by default. Spent about three hours so far. No luck I could of course run it from USB but then why by a wifi router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Genuinely Astonished by it's Output I've read a lot of bad reviews of this printer. The biggest complaint seems to be wifi printing. I must admit, I can't get that to work correctly. But, I don't care. The quality of the prints that come out of this machine is so good for the price point, I can look past the WiFi issues. I bought this machine a number of years ago and didn't print to it for over a year. I started it back up and amazingly, the prints that came out of it had no issues. I highly recommend purchasing the Canon-branded photo paper (my favorite is Luster). Again, the print quality is top-notch. For the time being, this printer is working great. When it's time to replace it, I will absolutely look at what Canon has to offer for inkjet photo printers. Again, the quality is amazing to me. And if the photos are stored correctly and you are using the Chroma inks and not knockoff cheap inks, the photos could last 300 years! I'm very happy with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You desire good prints? This one needs to be seen as it is amazing!! I work designing manuals, language course discs for my job, and also do photography work with a second duplicate printer at home. I am very please with the qquality, wonderful software, and how great old epson ec4 images can be copied and setup for printing and saving all my artwork for my Canon printers at work and home. I also make some native american indian languages now almost impossible to find and print manuals to help people learn these great american languages. I am pproud to use these machines to creat wonderful looking cd's & dvd's that collectors cherish. I have been using each printer for different jobs at home and work and also finishing up work started at home and finished in my office at the company. My boss is proud of the work I create and is also very pleased compared to the same files printer on the epson printers this Canon is replacing and the quality much better making the same prints. The Canon outshines the epson definitely and I use it in quiet mode as I am not in any hurry to print. I have done cd, dvd, with special modes, plain paper to photo glossy and the Canon at both locations are incredibly good which is amazing to me with all my experience in printing. I prepared a very old digital scan of a 1954 Gulf Station owned by an uncle I had taken as a child and printed it on glossy photo paper in black & white. The man I presented it to could not believe it was done on an ink jet printer. It had the look and feel of a 4" negative emlarge to 8 x 10 from a pro camera store enlargement. He was shocked to know it came from photoshop to ahis printer. I was extremely impressed and know the next printer I purchase will be DEFINITELY a Canon. This machine is very good quality and the inks are wonderful for what I need. I have many images from vacations in various places in China and have already reprinted them as I have time and am very impressed with this printer produces. For sure one day I will but even a better Canon printer. But to see what these 2 machines can do is a sight to be seen for sure. The specs are very good but the eye is the real test and this machine covers anything I throw at it for sure. The proof is in the print for sure. Ray C. in Florida ' s that video collectors cherish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great resolution. Prints wirelessly and Apple AirPrint Highest resolution Canon printer in its price range. My Canon MP970 print heads finally died, and this was the only current model comparable. . This one prints beautifully, from desktop, wirelessly from laptop, and from iPhone. But iPhone set up took me a couple of days to figure out. Download drivers from the Canon website. Then download Canon app to connect with iPhone. I have a Canon Pro-10 and I can barely tell the difference in prints between the two. I saved the MP970 for its equally high resolution scanner. Wish Canon would combine the high res printer/scanner at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Year Old and Into the Trash. Hot mess. Originally connected the 8720 to an ancient iMac- hard enough to set up (wirelessly), but at least it printed. Upgraded to a Mac Studio M2 Max (Sonoma 14.4) a month ago and this printer will not connect. At all. Bought this printer a bit over a year ago and this thing's off to the trash. Expensive piece of e-junk. Unsatisfied with the prints I did manage to get from the iMac (NOT Canon's fault- so old, I couldn't update to the appropriate printer drivers). Read/watched reviews before purchase and this seemed the right choice even though in 2023 it was a printer already long in the tooth. As alluded, the Township is having an electronics trash day coming up and I can't wait to heave this into a dumpster and watch it satisfyingly shatter against the wall (yeh, with an all new set of cartridges). Have wasted SO MUCH TIME trying to set this up. Hate. Hate Epson, but if it connects- that's way more than this ever managed on the Mac Studio.
