Eligible Products:
Operating systems include:
• Solaris 8, 9 or 10 on either SPARC or x86-based servers and workstations
• A Solaris configuration document is required.
Service Scope:
1) This service includes a single customer provided licensed network operating system install per system.
2) The system required for install will be unboxed.
3) The system will be thoroughly inspected for physical damage or blemishes.
4) The system will be powered on and inspected for hardware, POST and/or software errors.
5) A defective system will be replaced from CDW’s inventory.
6) The configuration of any hard drive e.g. RAID level and partitioning (if applicable) will be performed.
7) The operating system will be installed onto the system and all of the installed components will be verified in the OS.
8) The computer host name will be configured.
9) The Root password will be configured.
10) All drivers will be loaded into the OS.
11) The configuration of customer provided custom network addressing (IP addressing, NIC Teaming) will be performed.
12) The enabling of additional Solaris packages as specified by customer will be performed.
13) All Solaris operating system installation orders undergo a series of quality control steps to verify the orders were configured to the customer’s exact specifications.
14) A detailed configuration document included with each system.
15) A successfully configured system is re-boxed for shipment.
