Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid monitor. Great stand. The most important thing about a monitor is the image quality. I'm no expert, but image quality is fine, no worries there. It's what I would expect from a Dell monitor. Beyond that, this seems really well built. the base is HEAVY and doesn't really move when adjusting the monitor. I REALLY like the arm that seamlessly moves from "monitor" orientation to "drafting table" orientation. It is a bit stiff, I want to use two hands, but that means it stays where it's put. I like the cable management, and the cable wrap is a nice touch.

Improves productivity i find also, but not exponentially, but definitely and extra motivation to keep working and find production solutions quickly, as I do all day.

I have learned to save continuously and live with BLUE SCREEN shut downs!! it is a 2k paper weight. I have several other Dell products that are wonderful but not this computer.

The review request from Dell says my monitors are the Dell 24 Touch monitor, P2418HT, the ones I have do not respond to touch. Don't know if it is a set-up problem or what

I wanted the dual-hinged convenience LIKE the monitor on a competitor's much more expensive product, but attachable to any computer I liked (The competitor's product is something of an all-in-one, and thus isn't a stand-alone monitor). Your dual-hinged base is fantastic! This definitely checks all of the boxes. Works out of the box (check). Matte screen, so that I don't have to stare at glare (check) -- honestly, Dell.. THANK YOU!!!! Good screen size (not too big, not too small...check). High resolution (check) 3 observations: 1) DELL: IF you would be so kind as to enable VESA (Display Port) VBLANK (Freesync) support (ahem: firmware update), this would be LITERALLY the unique (literally) best all-purpose monitor on the market, because it would check every box, including best-possible family-level gaming support. Please? 2) Outer edge wobble. very minor. very livable (Don't beat on your monitor...duh!)...but single, central mount (as opposed to 2 parallel mounts) has a little wobble. This isn't a complaint...isn't particularly a problem...just an observation of the mounting support trade-offs between size/space/convenience and sturdiness. I think you made the right choice, but I highlight this for people who might not think about it. 3) I actually set this in my living room on the coffee table, to specifically make it inviting for regular use...much like a tablet, only larger and more powerful :). Point is, setting this against the edge of my coffee table (the weighted base = low risk) allows the bottom edge to dip very slightly BELOW the edge of the table = even better tablet-like access for finger-painting :) Final Words: Cream of the Crop!

The ability to adjust the height and angle with the mount bracket helps. The brightness levels could be a tad higher for daytime, outdoor events. Still quite good!

Several times I tried to contact Dell about some solution but I understood they believed that it's normal. In reality, it's a programming bug as soon monitor understands what pictures to display but don't want to count the offsets for touchscreen. Instead, it takes all displayed area (of two monitors, even if the second monitor is not touchscreen) as a touchscreen. Finally, it breaks all logic and you cannot use the monitor adequately. Besides I found no drivers for Linux to perhaps resolve this issue by myself. Now I'm looking the way to get rid of it.

The tilt feature is pretty neat when you are extensively using the touch screen and relieves the neck and shoulder pain you would have if you had to keep your arm elevated. Only gripe is that even when fully raised it still sits pretty far forward in relation to the back edge of the base. This is an issue on a narrow desk such as mine making the space in front of the monitor very cramped.

The touch feature did not work correctly it would work on one screen but not both of the screens. When you would try to slide one software from one screen to another the software would get stuck in between the screens.

Delicious picture, deep colors, sharp details, no blurs. Plenty of jacks for various peripherals available. Just learning how to use a touchscreen on a desktop setup. Lovely piece of equipment.

New monitors are brighter with great color. In particular, color rendition across the full screen seems to be the same whereas on the earlier monitor presentation of same color varied across screen, both side-to-side and top-to-bottom. Touch is very responsive and convenient. Finger works fine but I often find it convenient to use a stylus so as not to obscure as much of the screen.

However, in the picture it looks much more durable and sturdy than in reality. Mainly the touch surface is just plastic. Imagine your regular monitor that you usually avoid touching, knowing that if you will do so it will get dirty and might be damaged. This is the same monitor that you imagined but with touch capability. The screen does not seem to be durable. Going to return the monitor and find one that has end to end glass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best touch screen monitor I have seen I ordered this on Feb. 8, and it shipped the next day. The monitor is modern looking and has a thin bezel, which is hard to find in touch screen monitors. The monitor comes with the USB cable needed for the touch feature to work. It also has VGA and Display Port cables, but not an HDMI cable. So if you plan to use HDMI, you might want to pick up a five or six foot cable while the monitor is on the way. Setup was easy and tool-free, but the cable cover in back did not feel like it snapped in securely. The height and tilt adjustments work well and hold the monitor securely enough that it doesn't move when you touch it. We are very happy with this monitor so far, and I have recommended it to friends. I also appreciate Dell's 30 day price guarantee, and want to thank Mohammed in Dell Customer Care for processing my refund.

It helps me better control the virtual knobs and buttons. The screen itself is lightweight (not counting stand) and thin enough. It didn't have an HDMI cable in the box but I have one laying around. I like the way the screen and stand tilts forward and down, making it like a touch-screen control deck. My only wish is that it had Mac OS drivers as well. A lot of Macs at the studio I work with.

You have to use all of the cables that were sent with it and then a HDMI cord from what I understand. It works as a touch screen at times and other times it does not. I have to remove the HDMI cord and reinsert it then it will come on and work for awhile. Not nearly as impressed with this as another brand I have used for years.

Customer service was unable to help me. I would not have purchased 2 touchscreen computers if I had known only one could be used at the same time. They both work fine with the mouse but the whole point was to have 2 touchscreens.

Our cafeteria staff loves this new monitor as it's multiple oreintations makes it very easy for them to use. The also like the 24 inch screen as opposed to using a traditional Point of Sale system, as they can see and touch each option much easier. We have gone as far as sent the specs for this setup to other schools in our state who have asked about refreshing their cafeteria Point of Sale systems.

I had trouble getting both touchscreens to work, until I found that the USB cables (that carry the touchscreen data) need to be hooked into two separate USB busses (think front and rear on a tower computer). The articulating mount is super. Really good brightness for a touchscreen. Highly recommended.

The base makes it very heavy, I guess so it won't wobble when using the touch screen. This is good on a desktop but not on a monitor arm. To make the touchscreen work, it requires a video cable AND a data cable which was not explained in the QuickStart guide. It also requires Windows settings to allow the popup keyboard to open when tapping into data fields. Long story short...better documentation from Dell would have saved me hours of setup time and frustration.

It also does not work with a computer pen and does not rotate 180 degrees. I would have returned them had I tested all of these functions within the return period.

Completely eliminates the need to apply other glare-free laminates. Touch panel works nicely. I was unaware that the USB cable must be connected to the computer for touch panel to work. Not clear in instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality monitor. Recommend with kids. Bought this for the kids so they can do some of their educational software/websites. The touchscreen works as well as well as any tablet or smart phone - including the pinch or expand to zoom. Monitor is bright enough and the provided cable routing options help keep it looking nice considering all of the connections you potentially have in the back. Having the extra USB ports is nice since you can just plug a webcam and speakers directly into the monitor and have less wires dangling. Probably deserves a 4.5 star but that option isn't there. My knocks on the monitor are that it can't go perfectly upright, there is no internal speaker/webcam. The stand can accomodate the Dell sound bar, but only if you mount it backwards.

I needed a larger touch screen to accommodate online microtonal synthesizers using isomorphic keyboards. My biggest concern was latency between touch and sound and I was not disappointed. It works like a charm and I'll be able to incorporate this with my students. Thanks!!

The monitor has a very small footprint and is a fantastic value. While it's not a "gaming" monitor, it performs on par with some higher end gaming monitors.

Yes my two Dell laptops are touch screen also but having a monitor like this one on your desk really makes a huge difference. My only concern is that it may not hold up to a high traffic, heavy usage environment. The touch-screen feels and appears to be consumer grade and is probably not designed for industrial or high/persistent usage. I hope my fears are unfounded.

If your using VoIP communications some software can't distinguish your primary and secondary speakers. I will need to figure this out as it has nothing to do with the monitor.

Between the touchscreen and the integrated USB 3 dock, it makes it simple to plug into a computer and not run out of ports. The touchscreen seems to be accurate and allows multi-touch so that you can zoom in/out on supported applications. My least favorite aspect is the stand. It works well, but the monitor arm swings up and down from a pivot point on the base. It works well, but if you are lining it up next to another monitor, when you change the height, it move in/out. If you plan on using it next to another monitor, please take this into consideration. Otherwise, it works as designed!

This is not one of the standard monitors I order for my clients however a touch screen was requested as a special use case for electronic signing.
