I have had numerous other mice that go to sleep and I have to jiggle to wake up. This Dell mouse is always ready. It is very responsive. I paid the higher price than what I could get other generic ones and they just don't react nearly as well. You really do get what you pay for.

When my computer asked me to "pair" my new mouse with the computer I could not find directions as to how to do this. I called Dell tech support and the woman who came on the line came onto my computer and did some things. She told me that my mouse was defective, and that Dell would send me a new keyboard and mouse. The mouse is working well so far, although I've only owned it for about two weeks now. I liked how easy the battery was to access. The size is small enough to be easily portable, but doesn't feel too small in my hand like other mobile mice have in the past. The refresh rate is good so that the cursor doesn't skip across the screen. The USB wireless receiver is very small and is barely noticeable when plugged into the laptop.

This mouse constantly and randomly stops working. The cursor on the screen will fail to move in conjunction with the mouse. It usually just freezes. It could freeze for a second or a whole minute. It can freeze up on you 20 times in a day or once in a week. It is all completely random. It does alleviate the need to dedicate 1 usb port to your mouse, which is why i bought it.

Computer loses contact with Bluetooth mouse a few times per day
I've noticed that the computer suddenly loses contact with the wireless mouse fairly frequently, maybe 2 or 3 times per day. Sometimes just bringing up Settings and going into the Devices area fixes the issue, even without doing anything there. If that doesn't fix it, I just reboot. I have not yet tried unplugging and replugging the bluetooth dongle.
I think either this mouse driver has a flaw, or perhaps the Bluetooth driver itself has a flaw, causing the computer to lose contact with the mouse.

I had trouble getting it to work because directions were almost nonexistent. It’s just a mouse. More precise battery installation instructions should be included. No markings on the mouse and the enclosed directions are terrible. It shouldn’t take 15 minutes to try to get it to work by trial and error.

Meh, pricey and disappointing. Biggest thing is not having the "Microsoft Menu" function behind the mouse wheel. I'm keeping it as just a spare. I got Microsoft "Sculpt" Mobile Mouse for $9.99 and feels and works far better for me. Having Bluetooth capability is a plus I guess, but not for me....

Excellent product so far. The fact that it connects via bluetooth frees up a port on the laptop. It connects effortlessly and feels comfortable with use.

Poorly designed. To change battery or to secure USB key when not in use, one has to remove top shell which one uses click. That is so thin and fragile that it can damage or crack at any time.

I didn’t require a super laptop so the Dell was perfect. I’ve been buying Dell for more years that I care to count. Hint the first was Windows 95.
My only caveat was It took a bit to load non Microsoft approved programs but was ablyti get around that. Otherwise the pc is light and fast. Very pleased with Dell overall!

The mouse is nice, however given the pictures I assumed it would have been smaller. I have a small 2in1 laptop and wanted a small mouse to match it. Overall, I like that it bluetooth capable and doesn't need me to plug in a usb to control it.

Nice mouse! Very ergonomic. I was initially worried that it was too small for my palm, but I later found it convenient precisely because it was small. Battery runs out pretty quickly though, so if you plan on using it day-long I'd recommend either buying some rechargeable batteries or getting a wired mouse instead.

I like the mouse. I thought it was a little smaller. I still have to get adjusted that you have to use the roller ball in powerpoint verses clicking the right or left side of the mouse. Maybe it could be user error on my end.

I finally got with the program and eliminated my wired mice. This is the second wireless I purchased in the last week after finding how much freedom this mouse provides. I actually have gone through FOUR other mouse devices until I tried this one! No kidding! It seems that every mouse I had purchased up till now had a super sensitive right-click action that occured at the most inopportune moments. The Dell mouse is definitely much more comfortable to use because I do not have to continuously keep trying to avoid touching the right edge of the mouse to prevent firing an unwanted right-click (and having to eliminate an unwanted dialog box - or worse yet, inadvertently deleting or setting up a save event). Anyway, Dell has a great product line and this really fits into the two new computers I just received.

My previous computer was a 12 year old desktop with a wired mouse so this was leap years ahead. The quick start guide was pics which helped a little. It would have been perfect if the manual came with it.

Very nice mouse overall. Very comfortable to use and seamless setup. Occasionally the cursor gets a little jerky, but I've experienced that with other wireless products as well. Accompanying documentation claims a very long battery life but that remains to be seen as I've only been using it about 6 weeks. Would definitely recommend it and I would purchase it again.

Good (occasionally squeaky) mouse
I love how it automatically starts working via Bluetooth without having to use the USB port piece, leaving the one and only USB port on my Inspiron laptop available for jump drives or other devices. My only complaint is occasionally the wheel is squeaky, which makes it sound old or cheap.

Connected right away to blue tooth. BUT this mouse looks and feels soooo cheap. No heft, cheap light plastic. It has the tech features I'm looking for, but would not have purchased had I known how cheesy it would be.

An inexpensive, lightweight, "disposable" mouse. You won't cry if you lose it or break it.
There is a bit of lag occasionally, and although it's nice that the mouse is so lightweight, it feels cheap, the buttons & wheel have a bit of a rattle, and the body of it creaks in normal use. My Microsoft mouse is much nicer build quality.

Bad location for USB connector storage
The track ball inside the mouse works well. The big flaw is that the USB connector is stored inside the mouse. If you will be keeping the USB connector in your devise this is not a problem, but if you plan to regularly remove the USB connector you will be required to open the mouse by lifting the top to store it. The top of the mouse seems to be held on by only a cheap plastic tab which looks like it will break easily.

Beware this mouse uses a USB-A dongle
This mouse was automatically suggested as an optional accessory during my Dell XPS-15 purchase. The XPS has USB-C ports and the mouse dongle needs USB-A, so I have to use the USB-C to USB-A adapter and this is not practical. The web site should have mentioned this important detail.

A great improvement for those who favor a mouse, want to lose the cord and not lose a USB port. It can connect through USB port, but the Blue Tooth works flawlessly. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, so can’t attest to battery life. I leave it on all the time, and will have to see what battery consumption is; claims are 36 months.

I recently purchased this mouse and I'm pretty satisfied with it in terms of performance, portability, and overall user experience.
Firstly, the design of the mouse is sleek and compact, it's ergonomic shape fits comfortably in my hand. It feels sturdy and reliable. I experienced no connectivity issues throughout my usage. The only think that bothered me a bit was the the mouse's tracking. But I believe I need more time switching from my old mouse to this one. I will try it on a special mouse fabric as well. The setup and compatibility were seamless. It worked seamlessly with my Dell Inspiron 2in1 laptop. Overall, I highly recommend this Wireless Mouse to anyone in need of a reliable and portable mouse for this price range.

Less than stellar performance. Continually disconnects from my new Dell XPS and reconnects several minutes later. All in all worthless most of the time. Not sure if its the mouse or an issue with the computer but other mouse seems to work fine.

Good mouse. I have a similar / same mouse for one of my other laptop. This mouse was a replacement for another brand wireless mouse which stopped working after using for almost 1.5 years and used to consume battery in under 6 months. This mouse is good. However, I would have liked the two small lights on its base to have better description and more readable one.

Excellent Quality. One unusual feature - the battery access is under the clicker buttons. This is a cover formed by the left and right buttons in a "U" around the center bar and wheel. There is a notch toward the rear of the left button so that a fingernail can be used to pop it off (more easily than I would like). I used a small piece of scotch tape to secure the cover at the rear. Not a flaw, and it would probably never come off unless you knocked it off the desk - just noteworthy. I would buy another one - the feel and function is better than any other mouse I've ever owned.
