It's a perfect fit for my needs and the minimalistic one that I was looking for. Though a bit disappointed on the finishing. The front lower portion with leather pouch has a slant. The sides are not symmetrical. The finish is not as clean as shown in the image.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and sturdy backpack This backpack replaces my ten year old and worn out Dell backpack it is smaller, deliberately so, because the laptop it has to carry is smaller and I want to carry less stuff, even so I miss the extra pockets my old backpack had on either side. Internally there seems to be a sufficient assortment of pockets for thumb drives, assorted adaptors, leads and a power brick but I'm still at a loss as to what to do with the 3-pin plug; it always looks like it could do serious damage to something if it got pressed against something in an overloaded, overhead locker. It's lightweight and compact but the top handle feels sturdy and comfortable. If you are going to wear it as a backpack then the shoulder straps are broadly padded so shouldn't cut in to your shoulders as some packs do. I haven't travelled greatly with it yet but it has been sufficient so-far. There isn't a great deal of extra space in the backpack as should be inferred from its name; in the past with my old backpack I've carried two laptops, power supplies folder, notes, assorted leads, adaptors and all the things necessary for a wet day in London. I'm not sure this backpack would manage that. In my old pack the A4 leather(ish folder I have, used to travel in the laptop compartment, in this slim backpack it doesn't even fit in the laptop compartment and has to travel in the main central compartment with all the other stuff. It still travels so its fine. Now that I've discarded the Premier sleeve its probably better that the laptop (XPS 15 9510) travels alone. There is a bit of space around it but not a great deal and that space is well padded so I'm not too worried about it rattling around in there rather than being pinned down. The plus side is that if you have a only slightly bigger laptop it might just fit. If you travel with a lot of stuff then perhaps consider one of its bigger brothers if you intend to travel light then this one is just fine. I am intrigued as to what the small loop on each shoulder strap is for?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dell Premier Slim Backpack 15 Review Backpack is comfortable and durable. Everything feels high quality on this backpack and my XPS 17 laptop fits perfectly inside. Plenty of pockets for any accessories you need to take with you. I highly recommend. If I had to find a complaint it is that it doesn’t have a side pocket for your water bottle, but you can always just throw your bottle inside the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect This backpack is a great for small tech and your everyday carry essential’s as it doesn’t bulk much and the rigid construction keep it in shape even when it’s empty. There’s a couple of issues for me like the lack of water bottle mesh and ‘quick access´ pockets being too deep to grab something ´quick´. But overall materials are solid and with a build quality to match I’m sure it’ll last me a long time. Only concern is zipper feel and quality doesn’t keep up with the rest of the backpack.

Another issue with this bag is that there is no water bottle compartment on the sides. It is difficult to see through these problems from the picture because of the black color. I hope this review could help other potential buyers.

The organization of the pockets inside is perfect for my entire mobile office without making the bag too heavy or bulky. There are so many on the Dell site, so the order was an experiment, and I did not expect to like this at that price but was happily surprised to see I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slim but roomy. Super cushiony and light weight This bag is fantastic, more than expected. The cushioning is all throughout the bag and super protective. My laptop has some weight to it and I feel secure having it in this backpack. I also have enough room to fit my chunky headphones when I position them flat. Room for all my cords, mouse mad, and mouse. Still the bag looks slim and it's not even stuffed to max capacity. Even when I don't put much in the bag the material stays stiff so it looks clean and doesn't sag. Straps are also very comfortable and the material of the bag is great quality. Zippers are great too, and the pulls are made with the smooth leather fabric so when i pull hard they dont hurt my baby soft fingers. Secrets pockets on front and against your back. Love this. Highly recommend.
