Rated 5 out of 5 by from OkWhen I do get it to scan, it appears to do a good job if I’m just trying to post something online. When trying to scan a matte picture, it does not remove the ripples well. And not impressed with color restoration, to be honest. I am at finding it more difficult to work with than expected based on reviews. I also get an error that says it’s diconnected everytime I try to scan something large in professional mode. So if someone is good at this stuff, maybe they can figure it out. For a novice, not so easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scans multiple photos to different files.Love the features of this printer -- scanning multiple photos to separate files and scanning negatives -- but you can't scan and do anything else. If you try to edit photos already scanned while other photos are scanning, you have to turn the scanner off and back on to reset it. Makes editing take longer but for the scan feature to separate files is worth it. Quality is very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photo and Negatives ScannerThis scanner works great in scanning all my photos as well as negatives. It does a good job on all the items Ive tried to scan. The software does a good job on working with selecting and tweaking the photos as well as the negatives. This is a complete package for me to do all my old photos or whatever else I need. I'm glad I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEW OWNERI haven't used the new scanner that I just bought for two reasons: 1. All of the installation information was in languages other than English. I got the software installed any way since it was essentially automatic after putting the disk in the drive. 2. there is no instruction manual packed with the scanner to tell how to operate it - at least not in English. I will search online for a manual, but why was it not included for a product sold in the USA. If I cannot find an operation manual online, I will return it to the store where I bought it for a refund and look for another brand of scanner that include English instructions and manual. This is a stupid way to sell technical products. Not everyone is a computer scientist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longtime Epson FanNever mind that some Epson products are made in Oregon. I would still be a big fan even if they were not. This scanner replaces an Epson Perfection 2400 that will be used and loved by one of our children. The only "Nit" that I have to pick is that it is not set up to scan 4x5 in. images (as if anyone still has any of those laying around). It would just be nice to have on the off-chance one turns up. As well, there is no provision for some antique 3x5 in. negatives I found in the family archives. It would be nice to have a custom guide for odd-sized film for us that are preserving family history.
