Always high quality ink! I have purchased from several different suppliers and nothing compares to HP's quality---which is why I have continued to order fromt them for 12 years now. The only thing I'd recommend them start is a points system for returning empty cartridges. Yes, they provide a shipping lable but we spend good money on purchasing their ink cartridges--the least they can do is give us credit for returing them.

It's just a toner cartridge. I expect it to work just like the one that came with the printer. It's very expensive, but I bought it to avoid any possible printer damage that I might have gotten from an aftermarket cartridge.

Terrible yield!
I bought this a couple of months ago with the yield claim being 3200 pages. Since page 2000, it has been telling me that it was low and needed to be replaced. The HP toner cartridges are high dollar and I expected more. Very disappointed!!!!

I do buy all my HP LaserJet Toner on-line and am satisfied with the availability and quick shipments. My only small complaint is the price. I understand that I am paying more for convenience but this is the only product I have never had a discount on, a promo deal, nothing. After 3 years of loyalty, I would think I would get a coupon.

Wrong Cartridge For My Printer
I bought this cartridge on the HP website after entering my printer information to ensure that I got the correct cartridge. Much to my surprise when I attempted to install the cartridge it was not the correct cartridge for my printer. Lesson learned, check everything at every step or use Amazon since they seem to know what cartridge my printer needed.

This one worked, unlike the previous broken one.
I purchased a double pack, and when I installed the 2nd cartridge, it rattled. When it printed, the pages were solid black. There is no way to reach HP to return a broken product which costs almost $100.

I received the toner cartridge with the box it was in (shipped only as shown above) was crushed on one end. Even the plastic container in the was bent and disfigured. For something I paid so much money for, I expected it to be shipped in a manner commensurate with its value.

The Black Toner Prints in Black...
What else can you say about Black Toner? I will say, It Is Darned Expensive, and The New ones for this Printer are about 1/32 of an Inch Narrower than the Old Units I Have for my Previous Printer, so I have about $400 Worth Of Toner That Is useless To Me!

The cartridge is fine. I cannot find a way to turn off the HORRIBLE status box in the lower right of screen. It prevents me from using my computer and there is no way to get rid of it. I don't need an advertisement for ink clogging up my computer screen.

We bought a full set of cheap China toner carts from Amazon for a little less than 1/2 price. The amount of grinding noise was intolerable. The print quality was horrible with streaks and lines on every page. Nothing like the real deal. HP. Are they cheap? No. Do they work? Flawlessly! A victim of an HP firmware update
no my printer rendering my 3rd party cartridges useless (until I swap the chips out which I plan on doing when the HP cartridges run dry). Better yet, the firmware update disabled the wired and wireless networking capability of the printer. While this is a known issue with the update, HP has done nothing to rectify it, let alone provide any troubleshooting assistance. It's taken me about a week to figure out how to get the printer to work again on my own. You can bet that I've disabled the automatic firmware up dates on the printer and that I will never buy another genuine HO product again.

Most of my printouts are black ink. This color laser printer is really nice because I can choose to print only black most of the time and only the black cartridge runs out of toner. When I want something in color it’s ready to go and hasn’t dried up like inkjet printers do.

Really like this printer when I'm printing 8.5x11. Quality is sharp and it gives you lots of pages per cartridge.
Whenever I have to print legal, it can get stuck if the format is not exactly 8.5x14. A second tray would be awesome.

Printer is overstating my need for a new ink
The printer makes noises when I don't ask for it to perform, tells me that my ink levels are "low" when it's not, and doesn't want to print unless I unplug it (-does everyone get the "printer not responding message"?).
HP listen: my Costco purchase Laserjet printer is a lemon, it doesn't work well. I hate having to buy expensive ink (you are overcharging for this) to supply a problematic HP printer.

I usually use only HP products. Although this time toner cartridges are extremely expensive nearly double which has made owning this HP laser jet not nearly as economical. I found you can purchase the cartridges can at other sites the only issue is the printer will not read them. So it will not notify HP when you run out.

I purchased an HP Laser Jet Pro M281 for home use. Before that I had purchase several ink jet printers. This printer with these toner cartridge has worked on every kind of paper I've thrown at it and I do believe it is the most cost effective way to go. Yes, the initial cost was more but the end of year cost is much less and every print is smudge free and perfect.

I purchased two (HP-copier 9010 and laser 281) in May 2020. I deeply regret it, I have had nothing but problems with instant ink, thinking the program can be used for both printers, mistake of me thinking instant ink would work for laser. I ordered for the laser toner cartridge over the phone, after ordering a bundle not realizing 4 colors didn’t come in the bundle only 3 colors. Replacement I needed 4 not 3, why bundle 3? Finally order the one blk cartridge and it took forever, when shipping was 2 days and I received it in 6 days. I am discussed, discussed, discussed...TRUTH!

After losing my 2 previous printers to much cheaper 3rd party toners, decided to stick to OEM toners from then on and I've had zero problem ever since. Their free recycling program is a plus. I just wish they would consider lowering their price. Buying the High Yield dual pack (or triple pack for colors) along AAA discount might help a bit but still, cost of a toner set should not exceed the cost of a new printer.

Rich deep black ink that lasts for pages
This black toner 2 pack is amazing - the black are rich and deep, and I haven't had any issues with toner fallout. I can see one toner cartridge lasting for months before having to replace it. They say you get what you pay for, and that is very true here - while it isn't the cheapest toner option available, the quality is amazing and you know you can count on it for consistent printing results. I work in an office space and am always printing legal documents (think reams of paper a week). This toner can hold up to the needs and demands of my job, and that's truly such a relief. I highly recommend this ink to anyone that finds themselves printing a lot - you'll never run out of ink/toner, and you'll consistently get printed results you'll be happy with. Very professional product.

The product is excellent once it is installed in my HP printer. The online purchase form and its related shipping choice options are very easy to use, very customer-friendly. The timeliness of shipping is almost always reliable. On the other hand, the product is hugely expensive and the price no doubt includes an excessive profit margin for HP. In addition, the product does not print as many pages as advertised and must be replaced often, always with "sticker shock."

Boxes are not the standard black and white colors, but appear to be after market all white boxes. Makes you think the cartridges may be after market and not actually new. The cartridges are ridiculously overpriced. Just the 2 black ink cartridges cost over half of what I paid for the printer when I purchased it new. I also bought the 3 color cartridges so the total cost was more than I paid for the printer.

Tone deaf. Or definitely toner. Or what? Huh?
It’s toner. It makes the printer thing put the black where it’s supposed to be on the paper so I can do my job. I like it when it works. 1 star off because hp should offer free recycling or make something that’s refillable like the eco tank stuff. Really thought it should be a bit cheaper but hey, shouldn’t everything else be when you’re the one buying it? I’m open to offers of compensation for my wealth of knowledge. Let’s talk. :)
I’m not quite sure if I have much choice here. I bought the printer knowing that. I like hp laser printers. I have 3! This cartridge is supposed to be high capacity one. I think there’s a regular capacity one but I got the one with the X. So that means it does its job longer. Which means I can do my job longer. So, thanks hp for working me to death.
Seriously though the toner was sent automatically via the hp smart app which was super convenient. I love automation. Now if I could only figure out how to automate my own job…hmm

Why do your printers tell me I'm low on toner when I really have months of use left?
Because HP printers want you to buy more toner long before it is necessary, we have this on our shelf where it wiil probably remain until mid 2023.

Annoying messages
i keep getting messages that the cartridges need to be authenticated. Very annoying. Don't know how to turn them off. Tech support is non-existent. Paid too much for this printer, otherwise I would the it out the window.

Doesn't get better than the original!
Looking at pricing, the original from HP was just as competitive. Easy to order, quick delivery, and at the end of the day, you have peace of mind using the original product.

Reconditioned cartridges??
I purchased both the black and a set of the color ink cartridges. Haven't needed the colors changed yet, but I did install the high yield black cartridge. The print quality is terrible! Everything comes out faded! Instead of black it all comes out greyish! Did HP send USED cartridges for $500.00?? Yep, $500.00!!

Other ink suppliers promote their products as less expensive and high yield as well as declare HP programs their printers not to accept their comparable products. They can advise one of possible ways to force the acceptance. I suggest one must call HP Get Human phone and to supply your printer model and SN to get a less expensive product with true higher yield. The process expedites a better product for the money. I am submitting this review of my own volition and due to my experience. But please know I am allowing the submission to be considered for a sweepstakes entry. Delivery time is, also, much faster by a week in my case. So please do a quick search to learn the true facts and you will likely find as I did: HP is the best product!

Cartridge Works Great - Delivery Terrible
These cartridges will replace an existing one that works great. My issue is delivery - well over a week. And, I ordered a set of color cartridges at the same time. They took even a week longer to arrive. This will be the last time I order directly from HP. I can purchase these cartridges on Amazon for the same price and receive them the next day.
And, the cost of these cartridges is outrageous!

Clean crisp printing every time
I do a lot of printing as I sell online and need to print a lot of shipping labels which include bar codes for scanning by the postal service. I chose HP as my printer of choice because having worked in offices that used HP for many years I knew that the LaserJet range were reliable, long lasting and the print quality was exactly what I needed. The 202X dual pack lasts me a very long time and produces the clearest crispest shipping labels with no smudging or distortion which I have experienced with inkjets in the past. I have never had reports of an ineligible barcode.
When I do print out letters and choose greyscale over full black, I am equally happy with the way these print out, still very clear, legible and suitable for saving ink by printing in 'draft' before using full Black and White. This really makes your toner last longer too.
In terms of actually using these toners, they are so simple to unpack and install and very clean with no mess. You can also recycle them!

Price and time
Do not use ‘compatible’ if you don’t want to replace your printer. These are expensive, but work as they should. The service is quick and easy and PayPal credit allows some wiggle room financially.

Deep Black Prints
Reviewing the HP 202X 2-pack black toner for my HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw
The HP 202X 2-pack black toner is packaged nicely and is easy to both unpackage and install. The cartridge feels sturdy and I didn't feel concerned I was going to break a piece off. I've used refurbished toner in the past and they just don't work as well as these do. There's no concern that they will work, and the black is deep and rich producing great contrast on the page. I rely on the deep black for printing when I print business and legal documents, school work for the kids, grey-scale versions of images (to save my color toner) and even quick notes. I rely on the crisp quality of the prints and I notice no smudging. The HP 202X 2-pack color toner is a bargain when you realize you don't lose time to having to reprint a faded or streaked printout, and having a spare black cartridge is essential!
If you are looking for toner refill for your laser printer, and you are concerned with the quality and contrast of your printing, then the HP 202X 2-pack black toner should be your choice.

Fine cartridges, bad service
I bought this because of an automatic drop down window telling me my ink was low. However, just as happened the last time, I got the cartridges, but can't stop the reminder from flashing on my screen every few minutes. Annoying. And it stops me from completing actions. Last time it took lots of emails and phone calls before it was finally stopped.

Grest quality but costly cartridges

I will never use HP again
I ordered a 2-pack black toner listed as a compatible cartridge for my computer. I opened 1 box and it didn't fit. I requested an exchange that was denied because I opened the box. I am left with 1 cartridge that is unopened and no opportunity for a refund or exchange.

Highly Disappointed- Old Toner
I decided to purchase toner directly from HP since all local office supply stores in my area had toner that was more than two years old. One store had toner with a date of 2020. Nevertheless, I placed my tri- color order with HP only to receive a shipment with one of the color cartridges with a manufacturer date of 1/2024 ( will be 2 years old in a couple of months). I had began opening the original package but due to previous bad experience with older cartridges stop working after a few prints, I decided to call and exchange. I called HP asking if they could swap the one cartridge for a newer one dated like the other two ( 5/2025). Was instructed to return the complete package since it was sold as a set. I was told upon receipt of my return they would ship a replacement. After 6 days I received the exact same package I returned. Easily identified because of torn wrap where I began to open.
Called HP back to express frustration as I was now 10 days into this purchase cycle and had an event 2 days away I needed to print. HP advised that they show plenty of inventory in stock but could not ensure dates of merchandise the warehouse would pull to ship. I’m certain they want to get rid of the older items first but, I DO NOT WANT THEM! I was offered option to place another order of individual cartridges rather than the tri-pack. Having already spent $550 on this order which included a black stand alone cartridge, it was not in my budget nor timing to shell out $585 more and hope I did not receive yet more old ink as well as waiting on my refund following the 2nd return. I’m highly disappointed HP would not have better quality control in place. Especially with their history of older cartridges failing when placed in printer. Then support tells you it’s a printer issue when your printer was working fine until you replaced the ink cartridges.
Let’s not discuss the fact, for the cost of replacement cartridges, you can actually buy a brand new printer anyway. Which is what I decided to do and can be up and running same day. Now, I have a perfectly good HP Color Laserjet MFP printer sitting. Only because I have to gamble with finding toner that’s not old and printer identifying it as expired.
