I have not opened the color cartridge yet so I am not sure how it will work. As I have been reading online for a fix. I am seeing that the only thing to do is replace this new cartridge with a new cartridge. Am stuck as I do not have another black cartridge to insert. thought I was getting quality as I bought directly from the HP website.

Followed all the steps in the reference manual to try to get this cartridge to work, but to no avail. Popped the old color cartridge back in (which registers, but is empty). The black cartridge they sent did work, so looks like I'll just stick to printing black&white documents.

I inserted the cartridges as per instructions, the same way I have done many times before. The printing is of very poor quality, with distorted colors and lines running through everything I print. I have tried all the methods listed on the troubleshooting page but nothing is working and the print quality is terrible. I have put in a request for exchanging the item but it has not been processed yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY - current manufacturing issue The 60 black ink has a current manufacturing problem where it will not align with your printer. I've used the same printer with same 60 ink for ten years without issue until now. This ink I bought in April, but my black ink didn't run out until a few weeks ago. When I switched out the black cartridge, and even though the printer gave no alignment errors, the ink printed a shadow on the text (see image). I tried every solution in the book to fix it and even bought a whole new set of cartridges from Staples (that say expire July 2022) and that black had the same problem. It wasn't until someone on the HP help forums said they had the same problem and fixed it by ordering old expired ink off Ebay. Well, I did that and my printer is working again! So clearly there is some current manufacturing issue with 60 black ink. Hope HP gets this figured out asap. This issue caused me so much stress, time, and money. I almost bought a new printer because of this!

We all know that ink cartridges are a huge money maker for HP . Also sad that HP has locked down the printers firmware to reject alternative ink cartridges. Car manufacturers are not allowed to do this with replacement parts for there vehicles.

However, after installing the cartridges I noticed that the color ink only registered as 50% full and the black ink was at 100% full. The last time I purchase new cartridges from Office Max both cartridges registered at 100% capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ink! Cheaper versions not worth it! So I decided to see if I could maximize savings by purchasing a cheaper brand for my HP printer (a cartridge refilled with ink). Bad decision. I used about half the cartridge and although my HP printer read “full” nothing would print. In addition, the printed pages had tiny ink splatters and spots in miscellaneous places. I’ll never do that again. Got wise and purchased the HP color + black duo (free shipping was an added bonus) and have had no problems! Learned my lesson and will only use HP ink for my HP printer. This way I can always be assured of what I am getting!

I've tried using knock-off brands of ink, but none work s well as original HP cartridges. I notice this especially in the photo part of my printing. Originals may cost a little more, but worth it to me.

I wasn't able to purchase it at my usual Walmart or even Rite Aid, so I decided to try this home delivery out! WOW! First of all it was less expensive than buying at Rite Aid and even Walmart! I was totally surprised and pleasantly, too. It did take a little longer to get to my house, again due to the coronavirus issue with the postal service, but I will definitely do this again! It was very efficient and in stock as well! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wont read ink level The cartridge will not register as having any ink so I had to put back in the old empty cartridge which is registering empty I guess the other cartridge the new one just didn’t register anything because at least empty old one Registers to the printer although registers as empty I really have no idea but all I know is it won’t work in my freaking printer even though it’s the right one #60 Just keeps flashing on the printer ink level! Now I’m trying to return it and HP doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on only one of the cartridges was bad.

And the return prepaid packaging for the used cartridges was a wonderful surprise. In addition, HP prices were cheaper than other outlets that I might have used during normal shopping. I am quite disappointed with HP that your company continues to price your ink cartridges so high that I am paying about the same price for this 2-pack (of Black/Tricolor cartridges) as I originally paid for the printer itself. It's like buying the printer over & over each time I need new ink cartridges! I am also unhappy with the volume of tricolor ink. I know it probably costs more to produce, but at prices like this your company can afford to be more generous with your goods!! For these reasons, I am thinking of replacing my hp printer with another brand, one that has good quality products & does NOT charge an arm & a leg for the ink!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing but problems with the Photosmart D110 After experiencing problems with re manufactured ink cartridges, I purchased the HP brand cartridges on May 22. These cartridges worked well for about two weeks before my Photosmart D110 again stopped cooperating. The display on my printer reads " At least one of the Cartridges has a problem". I have followed the instructions found on HP forums that suggest cleaning the contacts with deionized water, powering off the unit, etc. without resolving the issue. At this point, I am unsure of what else to do. HP forums suggest that this is a somewhat common issue for the HP Photosmart D110.

I would have gotten them faster from Walmart Online. I would think that ordering them from the manufacturer, would have put them in my hands much sooner than a retail store, but I guess I was wrong. I'm also a little bummed because after opening them & putting them in my printer, I found that I ordered the wrong # of cartridge. I'm so mad at myself! I ordered 60's & I needed 61's. I've had a lot of problem with this 60, 61, 62. Seems I never can get it right the 1st time. You know, they all fit in my printer! Why the heck can't they work? I'll have to read their return policy, but I have a feeling because I opened them, I won't be able to exchange them. $50. down the drain. g. toth

Cartridges are authentic HP products which you don't always get ordering from other retailers. Plus the price from HP was actually the cheapest I could find at the time. I still think ink is too expensive for what it is and the cartridges don't last the 200 pages like they say. The color one might print 20 pages at best.

Text is printed with slight shadows instead of being crisp and clear, despite performing the cartridge alignment twice. Hopefully this is just a one-time bad pack and the usual excellent quality will return with my next purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best overall cartridge choice I’ve done all the math: comparing the cost per page of all the different cartridge sizes, and comparing the cost of all the different cartridge sizes at various sources. Overall there is very little cost difference per page from one size cartridge to the other. The main advantage to an “XL” cartridge with more ink than an “economy” cartridge that will print fewer pages, is not so much any significant savings in cost per page, but mainly just the convenience of the higher capacity meaning you may not need to buy a replacement cartridge so frequently. As to source, it appears all the major retailers, both online and storefront, have the same prices for all the same cartridges. So why buy possible old stock from elsewhere if you can get possibly fresher stock direct from HP, for almost exactly the same price or better? Finally it’s convenient to always buy the pair (b/w and color), because there is a small cost advantage, but mostly because that way you always have a spare on hand.

The pricing compared to the local Walmart has usually been a little less, given free shipping. I have never had an issue with the cartridges and I assume when purchasing direct that I may be getting the most current inventory. Expedited shipping is not currently available due to COVID but this is usually not an issue as I plan ahead--however, hopefully the expedited option will return after COVID in case one would need it. Also, HP always provides a recycling envelope that is convenient.

In fact this HP ink towers way above the ink found in a Bic pen. I can't vouch for the consistency, texture or taste because I am not an ink connoisseur but I would suppose it's good.

The vendor includes a postage-free mailer to return the used cartridges. This suggests that they recondition then resell the product. Don't know the longevity of the ink supply as I acquired the printer for no money from a Reuse & Recycle Day we did here in Glens Falls, NY. It seemed to work OK but I hesitated to buy new cartridges due to their high cost. Seemed a gamble as to the "longer-term testing" of an old printer, but finally bought some. So far, so good, but I will further report as to the real "value" of "pages per dollar" in subsequent submissions. I have, with other manufacturers, bought refill-your-own kits in an effort to save money. Probably a better approach!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Addicted to ink Oh yeah, gotta love a product you have to replace every year whether you use it or not. Come on HP, it’s 2024, you can do better. I appreciate the recycling envelope, though I’m not sure it’s worth it to ship pieces of plastic around to be recycled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenience Not knowing that my ink cartridges HP 901 were replaced by 60 I could not find my ink anywhere. Then I remembered I could order from HP and found that the 901 were discontinued. Now I will buy online. No driving to the store looking for ink, just click and 2 days later it is here. Easy and convenient.
