Although HP says that it is not mandatory, when you try to purchase ink online, it defaults to subscription purchase - which actually should not even be available, since people with a subscription already have paid for and received their ink. It took me well over an hour to buy ink, and that is only by calling HP itself - seems to be the only way to purchase THEIR ink. It was a horrid experience and although I have 2 HP printers, I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE A HP PRINTER AS LONG AS THEY ARE DEFAULTING TO A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE.

The convenience of ordering online with free shipping has been super convenient. My order on Sept. 30, 2025 I ordered 902 Highy-yield black ink cartridge online; on Oct. 24, 2025, I was sent 962 ink cartridge. The wrong cartridge. But Courtney through Chat online corrected the issue. And another HP employee over the phone sent me the FedEx label free shipping return label to me. So the problem was resolved. I'm awaiting a credit of $69.91 for the incorrect cartridge that I sent back to HP when HP receives it.

I replaced the cartridge and I was still getting the same message. I followed all the troubleshooting guidelines and nothing worked. I requested to return the cart because my printer would not print while that message was there. I have made numerous attempts/requests to return the cartridge but haven’t heard back. So that’s why I’m giving a one star.

I called the help desk since I took all of the customer service products. Finally, after a long conversation and trial and error, the ink cartridge was defective. I have a new one on the way, but this was my second bad cartridge of this same color.

I I have the HP Officejet 9025 and I decided when I bought the printer that I would stick to OEM (factory) ink because it's much higher in quality and gives superior results. I used the cheap ink in my last printer and the quality was horrible. I'm part of HP's Instant Ink so it gets shipped whenever the printer tells them I'm getting low on ink!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from forced to waste ink The ink itself is fine. On my previous generation HP printer, when you ran out of a color it told you, and you replaced it. Easy enough. On the new printer, an OfficeJet Pro 9025, if you run out of a color, you are forced to replace all 3. Hard not to conclude that it's a greedy move by HP. So I am rating 'features' as 1 star even though the cartridge itself is not to blame. Guilt by association for sure. By the bye, my previous printer, an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, was a better and higher quality printer than the new one, in my opinion. I would have it still, except that when I went to Windows 10, that software would not communicate with the 8600.

And even though I have an HP Printer mated to an HP desktop, with the latest updates and drivers, there is always a hic-cup. I believe that might best be solved by the printer and the desktop being manufactured and 'loaded' at the same time with the same bios.

Compared to my prior printer from a competitor, the ease of replacing ink is very appealing. I cannot say enough about how simple the design is of putting in new/replacing the cartridges. Also, when using the HP Smart app you really have the printer at your fingertips. Second, the quality of the inks is great - from quick document printing to great quality art, I've been impressed. I can sometimes be rough on printouts, and it is great that the ink dries fast and sets into the paper quickly. Lastly, I really like HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 printer - I have been so pleased with the quality, durability, and ease of use with the entire machine!

At some point I could not longer even print "black or grey scale only" because the color cartridges were dried up. So I was forced to order another whole set in order to print in black. I am not happy about that and about how expensive this ink is from you. I will order the ink elsewhere from now on.

I used to get automatic replacements, but a problem with my WiFi put an end to that, so I'm not sure how to go about making sure I don't run out.

The customer worker told me something I did not know, that if the black ran out 1st., then the other colors would blend together and become a grey print so extra colors would would be used also, great advice given me. Also, ordering this from HP also gave me extra time for expiration date, which is important.

The ink is a little bit more expensive than a home printer BUT it does last longer and buying from HP directly is as good as it gets. I also just signed up for insta ink and am so excited to use this awesome product and not worry about running out of ink since we are 50 miles from the nearest store that sells the ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learned a hard lesson. HP printer cartridges are far more expensive than competing (printer) electronic hardware companies. Additionally cartridges are known to fail. I have 5 HP printers, 3 destroyed by cartridges. ( Printer screen reading screens reading cartridge failure). Repairs too expensive. I have learned my lesson and next printer will not be HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A New Beginning The existing ink that came with the new printer works fine. I've purchased this HP 962 4-pack for my HP Office Jet 9025 since it indicates low in ink. I will know more once I started with the new ink I just purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's OK if you printer works I bought the 962 4 pack from HP when they offered to replace my printer because the first printer I bought broke after about 2 months. I figured I would need some extra Ink. Well the replacement printer broke before I had it a month so when they wanted to replace that printer I refused and asked for my money back. After much arguing they refunded the cost of the printer but refused to refund the tax and then refused to let me return the 962 pack and refund that cost even though I would have no use for it because I certainly was not going to try another HP printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Works Ease of use, replacement from the used to these are a snap and the ink lasts longer than what came with the printer as they tend to send partial ink cartridges with printer purchase in order for consumer to order replacements to make a little more money.Wish there was an ink level on these to see what your paying for and if it is full!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have! I love my HP printer, the ink is amazing! I am a mommy of 4 and we are always doing projects or I need to print out homework and essays. Such great quality, no smudging, no bleeding, works great on paper, cardstock, construction paper, and index cards. Go crazy and use it for all your project needs and be able to print out quality photos. I'm so glad I use this ink and HP printers. Recommend it everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pigment ink This ink works great in my 9018 printer. Even in draft mode it's very clear and sharp and just gets better at normal or best quality. The photo I printed of my parrot in best quality glossy with a few advanced tweaks matches my display almost perfectly and is excellent quality. The photo uploaded isn't quite as sharp as the print but you get the idea.

I knew we would be using it more as I am a teacher and I have two elementary aged kids of my own. I ordered it knowing I have had other food experiences with HP and this did not disappoint! It was a pretty quick set up. So far, so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tilt Pen, 962 Printer Cartridge's Bought TILT PEN to work with HP Envy Dr1012DX Conertile latop and it works and it works flawlessly, though I did not wat to pay the price ($89.00) thoughy it was a little steep Tilt Pen hopefuly is made in in US for that money. Bought 962 Printer Cartriges for Office Jet 9025 both are AWSOME.
