Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasted Less than Two Years I purchased this in November 2017 to replace my malfunctioning Spectre charger and now, as of September 2019, I have to buy another one. My computer's original charger--the one that came with the computer--only lasted about 1.5 years. I guess almost getting to two years is a slight improvement, but I honestly think something like this should last longer. Both chargers broke in the same way too--the cord separated from the brick and the internal wires frayed. I can't imagine this is a difficult issue to solve--just reinforce that area. Hopefully charger number three will last longer. But next time I need a computer, maybe I should try a Dell to see if their chargers last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty design This is the second time that the insulation on the cord leading to the computer has separated and frayed. It is clearly not designed for everyday use. HP has replaced it twice, but my warranty will expire eventually. Then what? Buy only if necessary until redesigned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware - product may not match picture I was happy when I received the adapter and it seems to work fine but I am disappointed in that the USB C connector is not the 90 degree connection shown in the picture (it is a straight USB C connector); I did notice on the box included some small print stating "contents may not match product pictured" but I could not find mention of this anywhere in the literature/descriptions available prior to purchase. While there may be difference between product pictures and what goes in the box, I do believe that when the product provided has functional difference the sales collateral should match the product. This difference is not purely aesthetic as it impacts how the power cable can be run to the power port; if you are interested in this adapter because of the 90 degree USB C connection, that may not be what you receive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit It took me weeks to locate the charger for my daughters school laptop. We had an incident with a kitten who likes to chew cords while we slept. After I found the serial # I kept running into Chinese knockoffs. Luckily I was able to purchase the correct cord from the manufacturer themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP site gave wrong product info HP site for my product recommended this power adapter. Turns out it won't work with my laptop. My laptop requires a "blue" power supply. They sent a USB-C adapter. Wouldn't charge at all. Bad info on the site. Beware.

It was working in the beginning but noticed a slight short in the wore 2 weeks later. Then at 3 weeks or just stopped working. I have tried calling customer service and emailing but no one has gotten back to me. I would give a zero if I could

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall cable and charger shipped separately! So much wrong with this purchase site and the purchase process! Cumbersome doesn’t even begin to describe it! Can only order one charger at a time? You lost out on what would have been a purchase of two chargers, as I didn’t want to have to go through that process again! Then I discover that the wall cable that goes from the wall to the charger is not only sold separately, but the two pieces arrive at vastly different times! I received the wall cable, but have no clue when the charger will arrive! Absolutely terrible experience! If I could get this piece(s) elsewhere, I would!

This USB-C AC Adapter is half the price of the power cable that is inserted in the round port. Wasn't sure if it would work, but it did! Glad I got it.
