HP SB CHROMEBOX G3 5205U 32/4 is rated 3.40 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why isn't everyone using one of these? Easy to set up, no additional software to buy, great security, perfect for surfing the web. Fast startup, no lengthy software update delays, and intuitive to use. The Chromebox was well packaged and installed without any problems. Easy to link with my phone too. However, the HP webpage doesn't carry all the cables that are needed. I had to go to Amazon for ah HDMI/DVI cable for my monitor. Minor annoyance, but I'd prefer to get everything with one order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not seem to have any video camera drivers Disappointing. Does not seem to have any video camera drivers installed for a USB camera that I use successfully on an ASUS Chromebook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very unhappy I bought this three months ago to replace an ASUS Chromebox that had reached its End of Life. The HP Chromebox I bought turned out to be not very good. I should have known better than to purchase an HP product because I've never had any luck with them. It's been over 20 years since I last purchased from HP (a printer) and I just figured that a Chromebox would be pretty hard to get wrong, lol. The price was great for what I got (8 years til End of Life). But the problem is that sometimes when I shut it down, it won't turn off and I end up having to unplug the power supply. But I dealt with it. Then I found that the unit would some times freeze up after installing the automatic updates. I also discovered that when I turned on the unit and then the monitor, that it wouldn't recognize that the monitor was turned on and my monitor would say something like no device connected, entering power saving mode. Which was super annoying when all I want to do is turn it on and use it. So after dealing with all of these issues for 3 months, I finally snapped, and out of frustration I threw it on the floor and broke it. So now I'm back to using my old ASUS Chromebox, which never ever had any of the above issues that I just mentioned. I only replaced it because it reached End of Life and I was a little concerned about not getting regular updates. But now I'm going to keep using it forever I guess. I've already wasted too much money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible! Does NOT come with a ChromeOS keyboard Terrible! Does NOT come with a ChromeOS keyboard and no mouse! You can NOT find a non wireless, corded, ChromeOS keyboard anywhere! A standard PC keyboard does NOT have the correct labeling on the key caps,!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Noisy fan mars experience I've had HP Chromeboxes in the past, and they were nearly silent. This one, though, has a noisy fan that comes on often. I found that annoying enough to send this computer back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor case design and documentation I bought this to mount behind a display. It has no mounting holes and is NOT compatible with the expensive mounting accessory mentioned in docs. Accessory is now a worthless rip-off. Doc - 4AA7-8363ENUC.pdf " Mount the HP Chromebox for business using the VESA mounting holes or HP B300 Mounting Bracket—perfect for use in tight spaces" I was a longtime personal and institutional buyer of HP. Obviously something has changed. I will no longer be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a workstation I had owned a Chromebox in the past and I thought they were no longer in production. When I saw this on the website, I decided to purchase it. Also, the expiry date is in the distant future, 2027 or 2028. I just plugged in my monitor ( you have to have HDMI ) and my Microsoft keyboard, and my mouse, and I was ready to go. I prefer Chromebox to a Chromebook because I have a larger monitor. Also, it is faster because I can connect my Ethernet cables instead of using wifi. It works like a workstation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First chromebox For the price, it's a good deal. It receives wifi signals well. The USB ports are fast. I am using this mainly for Zoom. My webcam and microphone were compatible. It is quiet. Just be aware that this uses the Chrome OS operating system, so it works like an Android phone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little machine I bought this for my husband, who wanted a desktop computer. Since I have had good luck with 2 Chromebooks, I bought this for him. He is very happy with the Chromebox, the speed, the efficiency. He likes how Chrome "automatically" updates, and he doesn't have to worry about making sure he has the latest OS. Also, we trust HP for computing and printing electronics. There is no better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would not recommend for a business conference device This device is pretty bad, does not allow you to download any microsoft apps such as excel, word, or anything along those lines. If you do connect a webcam with a usb wire you will have trouble turning the camera on. Zoom does not work properly on this device you will experience great lagging and will not be able to open documents while sharing screen. Overall the device is cool but it needs a lot of work in order to fufill atleast a businesses needs.
