We purchased this machine to replace a 4650 which after 13 years still produces GOOD Quality prints. The new printer is okay the quality even with the HP toner is not as good. The new machine uses toner much quicker too. DO Not buy the 550 paper tray with this model as you will have to remove the extra paper tray. Like I said it is okay. does not meet up with all the hype of the new series of printers.

Easy Set up, Great Quality!
Had our printer about a month. We had the thing up and running in under 5 minutes. Has taken on all sorts of jobs, labels, proposals, 2-sided, color pages, doublewide postcards, it does everything and it does it well.

HP has the worst customer service
they sent me the wrong printer, then they said that the product is not re-fundable and they would not perform an exchange even if I paid them extra, I submitted a return request waited two weeks got no response from HP, I called and was told they will start another case, another week and a half has gone by and I have a brand new $3000 printer I cant use, and HP is yet to respond.. I paid in full with all extra warranty and service contract, I used HP for years and their products were decent but now I will move to another brand to supply my business with printers, computers, and scanners, Brother and Epson are great brands with excellent customer service compared to HP, I gave HP many opportunities to rectify the situation but, THEY ARE IGNORING ME.

M653x - Great for plain and cardstock, so-so for glossy stock
Prints very well on plain paper and cardstock. On glossy, prints too flat. Best printer ever is the Xerox Phaser 6700. Wish someone would use that technology.
