Big Prints. Small Footprint. Professional Results
I recently purchased the HP DesignJet T250 24-in Printer (2025 Edition with 2-Year Warranty), and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance and overall user experience. As someone who works from a small home studio, space is always at a premium, so I really appreciated how compact and sleek this printer is—it fits perfectly on my desk without taking over the whole room.
Right out of the box, setup was smooth and straightforward. HP’s Smart App made it easy to connect my devices, and the instructions were simple enough that I didn’t feel overwhelmed at any point. Within minutes, I was ready to print.
What really stood out to me is how fast and accurate this printer is. It can handle multi-page jobs way quicker than my previous model—sometimes even twice as fast. I printed several large-format technical drawings and posters, and the clarity and color accuracy were spot on, especially using HP’s Bright Office Inks. The lines are crisp, and the colors are vibrant without any weird smudging or oversaturation.
One of the biggest wins for me is that it can print a full A1/D-size page in as little as 30 seconds. That’s a game changer when you’re juggling deadlines. Plus, the automatic sheet feeder works flawlessly, so I don’t have to babysit it during longer print jobs.
Another thing I love is its connectivity—I can print directly from my phone, tablet, or laptop without needing to transfer files back and forth. It’s seamless and saves me so much time. This is especially helpful when I’m traveling or working from different rooms in the house.
Overall, the HP DesignJet T250 exceeded my expectations. It’s fast, reliable, and compact—perfect for small studios or home offices like mine. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who needs professional-quality large-format printing without the hassle or bulky equipment. Plus, having the 2-year warranty included gives me peace of mind.

High-quality large-format printing with easy setup
I’m really impressed with the HP DesignJet T250 24-inch Printer 2025 Edition. The setup was quick and very beginner-friendly, even for someone who doesn’t use printers often. The print quality is excellent—sharp text and vibrant colors, especially for posters and large-format documents. It’s also surprisingly fast and quiet while printing. The compact design makes it easy to fit into a home office without taking too much space. So far, I’ve had no issues with connectivity or maintenance. This printer definitely delivers great value for its price and features!

Go big, stay small, and look good doing it.’ And I
Omg This Is Big more than I thought! this printer is something else.
The HP DesignJet T250 — this isn’t just a printer, it’s like the Ferrari of large-format printing… only quieter and doesn’t need gas.
Fast, precise, and ridiculously compact — it’s built for people who actually do things. Architects, designers, creatives — the ones who can’t afford slow prints or smudgy lines.
This thing spits out an A1 or D-size print in under 30 seconds… I mean, I’ve had coffees slower than that.
The lines are razor-sharp, the color depth is pure perfection, and with HP Bright Office Inks — everything just pops.
It’s not just printing — it’s producing art that could hang in a gallery.
Even your drafts look too good to mark up.
And size? Tiny. HP literally made one of the world’s smallest plotters.
You can fit it in a studio, an apartment, or even that sad corner of your home office next to your plant that’s barely alive.
The setup? Too easy. Plug it in, connect through the HP Smart App, print from your phone, tablet, or laptop — no cords, no drama, no drivers crying for updates.
It just works — every time. That’s rare.
So yeah, the HP DesignJet T250… it’s fast, flawless, compact, and honestly?
It prints cleaner lines than most people can draw.
If you ever doubted that a printer could be sexy — this one might change your mind.

Great price!
I can't believe that I got a new large format printer for this price. Only issue I had was they drivers had to be updated manually from HP twice. It seems to be working good now.

Works great for basic CAD drawings, but...
Plotter is ok, prints basic CAD drawings really fast. However it takes 15-30 minutes to plot a color image, which I hope is just a driver issue, but no one seems to have a fix yet (as of 07/08/2021).

What a time saver
Only had the printer about a month but as already be a great time saver. I need a print for a sub I don't have to wait to have it printed at store. Was paying between 2.50 to 4.00 a print at the stores. Now I just print at the office. Unit prints each page fast!!

DesignJet T250
I told HP that I am running Mac with OS 10.4.11 with a Power PC chip and Vectorworks 11.5 CAD software, I wanted to know if that was going to be a problem. I was told it would not be a problem. I paid a local HP tech to come and load it up. He did but could not get it to print from my Vectorworks 11.5 CAD software. I have to save the drawings as a PDF file in order to print.

Good so far
Another poster said there was no paper feeder, the specs did say that it was "optional", so I knew I had to purchase paper feeder separately. So that is a non-issue for me. Same poster also said "no paper roll cover". My previous T120 did not have a paper roll cover, so I don't understand where other poster is coming from. One thing that IS lacking, is there is no paper tray to catch the sheets from the paper feeder (The T120 did have it). There was nothing in specs one way or another on that, unless I missed it. As Title says, good so far but haven't had it long enough to see how it will hold up.

Great Replacement Printer
I purchased the HP DesignJet T250 24-in printer to replace a 12-year-old T520 printer. This unit is the right choose for my personal use, handling both 24-in CAD prints as well as Tabloid Photo prints with the auto tray feeder. Yes, there are features listed as accessories that people should understand do not come with the base printer, (read what comes in the box). Only negatives I have is the protective film on the touch display is hard to see and remove and that the stated margin for the input tray is the same as manual feed. [0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.7 in (manual feed); 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 in (input tray)].

Great large ink jet printer
The HP DesignJet T250 is a solid large-format printer for everyday use. Setup was quick and straightforward, and changing paper and ink cartridges is simple. It runs on standard inkjet cartridges which makes replacement easy. The on-board screen feels dated but gets the job done without issue. Print quality is sharp for plans, drawings, and posters. It would have been nice if HP included a starter roll of paper for testing and setup, but overall, this is a reliable, user-friendly printer for anyone needing large format prints at home or in a small office.
