Rated 5 out of 5 by from Camera doesn't work Just purchased this monitor. Resolution is good, packaging is great. Biggest complaint is that the camera doesn't work. I had to work this out, but essentially you need to get a separate usb upstream cable for the camera to work. Really disappointed that this wasn't included in the cable packaging, or outlined in the set-up guide.

Still trying to figure out how to get audio to work. The set-up guide could be a bit more detailed rather than just pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! A Monitor That Has it All. My new favorite monitor! Set-up was extremely easy and supports almost every output available. The screen is 28.3" which is bigger than my other monitor. I have caught myself dragging most of my work to this monitor. Safe to say I will be purchasing another. Having a monitor with a webcam attached has come in handy since working form home seems to be the new norm. The webcam is clear and I love that it can be slid down for further privacy when not in use. The design fits with almost any style and simply looks great. I highly recommend this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great, Quality, Feature-Packed Business Monitor With COVID-19 changing the world, I was one of the fortunate ones who could work from home. However, I quickly found out that the 14" screen on my office-provided HP Elitebook 840 G4 wasn't going to cut the mustard long-term. So, I ordered the HP E24 G4 FHD Advanced Docking Monitor and am very happy with the order. First, let me say that I couldn't try out all the functions. My assigned Elitebook has a basic USB-C connection, not one that supports video and audio alt modes, which the E24 requires to use it as a docking monitor (I didn't find out that all USB-C ports are not created equal until after purchasing the docking monitor). With that said, I can still use all the basic monitor functionality, which works very well. I ran into a hiccup with the D-Port connection (unsure whether this is an issue with my Elitebook, the E24, or the supplied D-Port cable). Video was clear in all apps, except Office in which there was significant color banding, which I couldn't resolve despite working with our tech's to allow me to install the most current drivers on the secured Elitebook. Also, audio would not run through the D-Port cable. Luckily, I had a D-Port to HDMI adapter. I plugged the adapter in, ran the supplied HDMI cable into the monitor, and all banding issues disappeared. In addition, audio issues were resolved. After looking into the D-Port issue more, this seems to be a common problem with Elitebooks (oddly enough, resolved by using D-Port adapters). There was also an issue with the D-Port cable and interference with the 2.4 Ghz all-in-one receiver for a keyboard/mouse combo I have. I had to switch the receiver to the opposite side of the laptop (potential cable shielding issue?), which 'fixed' the problem. FWIW, the monitor is sleak, stylish, glides smoothly, reproduces colors well, has a ton of connections (including a Display Port in and out for daisy chaining monitors, virtual KVM support, a built-in gigabit Ethernet port, and two USB-C ports... one upstream for the dock and one for powering/connecting to USB-C devices). It also has a master on/off and a normal power button, a ton of software options, and a VESA mount option if desired (mount not included). The monitor has a serviceable web cam (which pops up from behind the monitor (very cool) and can swivel to full vertical, if needed. I just wish my assigned Elitebook had a 'this generation' USB-C port (G5's and newer do) to see what the E24 and can really do. If I had to point out one 'want' for the E24, I would've loved to have seen a built-in set of downward-firing speakers (front-facing would've taken away from the aesthetic), but you can hook up an HP soundbar or plug in a USB or 3.5mm speaker (I did the latter) and be completely set up in no time. Folks, with all the above in mind, I love the monitor and don't regret for one second getting it. It screams quality in every way. If you have the means, pick one up for typical business purposes. You won't regret it for a second.

The picture mirroring from my laptop to the monitor is great, in fact the monitor is more clearer than the lap top. It is so good to be able to take my laptop with me and then come back home and dock to this monitor and now it is like I have a full blown computer!

It has enough ports for me to connect everything I need to it. The pop up webcam is really cool. Size isn’t too big...it’s pretty perfect. Has fast response to everything I do. Crisp display and audio. HP never lets me down.

I need to be mobile, and take my laptop with me on the go, but having a full size wide screen monitor to come home to makes viewing plan sets and large spreadsheets so much easier. I couldn't be happier. I'm a big HP fan anyway, but this is sweet.

First of all I like its overall look the size is perfect for my needs and I also love its resolution really awesome. Something else that is very nice and useful, the USB ports, it has 5 . One is USB type C. Those are giving me the flexibility to multitask. My favorite of all the features is the face login possibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Monitor This monitor did not disappoint and has been a great upgrade. The monitor was easy to set up and has the ability to turn in many different angles. There is a built in camera that you can slide up when you want to use or slide down and hide when it is not needed. This monitor is 23.8 inches diagonal which is larger than my original. The specs are nice and the picture/display is so clear. I can’t say enough about how great this monitor is and look forward to purchasing a second one in the future to add to my set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, beautiful computer worth every penny!! Since working from home like many people, I was really tired of just using my Surface laptop to do high level work. Since getting this computer it has changed my everyday life. I can do all of my high level excel work, internet uploads and powerpoints all at once on this large screen. The quality is absolute perfection. There were no instructions with this monitor but it was so simple and to the point, took me maybe 15 minutes to hook it up to my laptop. Exactly what I needed!!

It was easy to connect my PC and other devices by a USB cable to the monitor. This has a full HD 24 “ screen display that makes it great for viewing. I really am impressed with the brightness and color quality of this monitor. A feature that I really like is the pull-up webcam at the top of the monitor. This makes teleconferencing convenient and easy. Overall, this docking monitor has made working in a home office much more efficient.

The monitor is very solid and sturdy, with excellent features in the stand including the ability to raise/lower the monitor and rotate the screen. The pop-up camera is great for Zoom meetings, and I like that you can put the camera away when not in use. The best part of this monitor is that it serves as a hub for all of our computer needs. Multiple USB ports that let us keep two external hard drives plugged in, and there's still ports for keyboard/mouse as well. One simple USB-C connection to the laptop provides charging for the computer and access to the attached hard drives. No more need for carrying multiple dongles to attach these devices when working with a laptop. One note for other MacBook Pro users - I was hopeful that the ability to daisy chain additional monitors using the Display port Out on the monitor would let me hook up a second external monitor, but this wasn't the case. The resolution of the screen is the only potential weakness - color and brightness are great but text can be fuzzy at smaller window sizes. Overall the excellent features this monitor provides make working from home much more pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for remote work with video calls Now that I'm working from home full time and taking lots of zoom calls, monitors are really important to my setup. This isn't large monitor, but I love that the USB-c connectivity helps me reduce the number of cables I need to run to my desk and is sufficient to keep my 2020 macbook pro charged while I work. Text looks clear and crisp, and I haven't had any issues with the display while working. The sleeper feature is the built in webcam that can be pushed down to completely hide the camera. The image quality isn't amazing, but I love the ability to be able to move it down completely when its not in use instead of having to put an external cover over it. It's been super convenient to not have to switch to a laptop or have the weird angle on when taking video calls while working from home. I'm not able to use the display chaining via Display Port because Mac doesn't support it, but it does have both Display Port in and Out which is a nice feature. I was also pleasantly surprised with the packaging, instead of using a bunch of styrofoam that's not eco friendly and leaves little styrofoam bits it comes with custom folded cardboard to protect the monitor in the box. I love that I can recycle that and not feel so wasteful. The one weird thing is that in addition to a normal power button on the edge there is a power switch on the back. I haven't looked into its functionality but it definitely confused me a bit when first setting it up. Overall I would recommend as a nice little monitor that has a lot of features I was looking for in my home office

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding features included This monitor has a built-in webcam that pops up and can be hidden. The built-in USB hub allows you to connect USB speakers, headsets, keyboards...basically anything, so it functions as a full service docking station with a single USB-C connection to the computer. The only complaint I have about it is that there are no speakers integrated into the monitor, so you have to use a USB port to add speakers. On the flip side, there is a headset jack that accepts any kind of mini ring and tip headset. It's a full 24" diagonal but is compact and highly adjustable for height, tilt and rotation left and right.

It is next to impossible to find one stand alone these days and so it's super convenient to have this integrated into the monitor. The whole setup will come in handy for my kid's remote schooling activities.

It’s easy to setup and has a sleek design. My only complaint about this monitor is the quality of the screen. While it still looks great, the quality isn’t as high as I anticipated or expect from HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High tech monitor for real work! I am so pleased with this monitor. The options for using it with the very well thought out stand or attaching to your existing arm are great. I chose to use the stand t hat came with it, as it is adjustable and very sleek. The setup couldn't be any easier, too. The stand attached without having to use any tools, it just snapped on very securely and was ready to go. The pop up camera is a great feature, as I was so tired of having to use the camera on my laptop when attached to an external monitor. No more looking one direction and being seen from another! Also nice is the quality picture, very crisp and bright with lots of options depending on the type of work you are doing or the environment you are in. My partner wants one too for his office, which is saying something since he is in IT. Very happy with this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Display, Tons of Features I don't know why it has taken this long to get a monitor with all of these features, but thankfully the day is here. USB C connectivity really sets this ahead of everyone else, data and video on a single cable, but there is much more. There are inputs for HDMI, DisplayPort, Display Port Output to daisy chain to another monitor, USB ports in two separate locations, audio out, and gigabit ethernet built in. All but two of the USB and audio out face down when the monitor is in landscape orientation, but its a simple operation to rotate it to a portrait orientation to attach your cables. This monitor is built for business. It comes ready for video conferencing with a built in webcam and speaker on the top of the monitor. The resolution is good, not great, but works just fine for my purposes. There are not speakers built in, so you will need to find a solution for that if you need it, I use a headset so it isn't a problem for me. External drives can be plugged directly into the monitor, and any other USB peripherals can be used as well. The display is crisp and responsive, and the base swivels to any orientation you need. It can also be wall mounted if you have that option. There is a master on/off switch on the back and another power button in the usual place in the corner of the display. It is for controlling the power on an attached HP laptop in addition to the monitor, but the PC must be connected via USB C. Another useful feature when using this with a laptop, but I'm unsure if it does the same with a desktop. Overall, a great monitor with fantastic features, love it and will be getting another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality! I have had the HP E24d G4 FHD Advanced Docking Monitor for about a week now. The monitor has a very clear and great picture quality. It came with easy and clear set up instructions that took me under five minutes to put together and connect to my HP laptop. The monitor has a good amount of weight to it so you have much less worry of it easily tipping over and possibly breaking. Another great future that I love about this monitor is the webcam, it easily slides up for use and back down when not in use. I generally kept mine covered with a post it note, and now I have nothing to worry about as I can keep it slid down into the monitor when it is not in use! Out of all the monitors I have owned this is by far my favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor with Plenty of Features This monitor does the trick for my temporary home office set up due to Covid. The size is perfect for home and/or office use. It comes already equipment with multiple options for connections such as HDMI and USB-C ports. You can also daisy chain multiple monitors which will definitely be an option for me. The resolution is what one would expect for monitors within this category and sufficient for its purpose. The pop-up Webcam is also very useful for Web conferencing and can be pushed down to hide when not in use and maintaining the slick modern look. The ergonomic stand is sturdy and and can tilt, swivel, move up or down giving you plenty of adjustment features. Another cool feature includes is the ability to connect two laptops to the same monitor and toggle back and forth in case you ever needed this feature. Downfall is no built in speakers but this is a trend many other monitor manufactures are following. Over all a satisfactory monitor!
