FlashSystem 9500 is designed for IBM FlashCore Modules, storage- class memory drives, and NVMe flash drives. FlashCore modules have an increased effective capacity, which if the workload allows, can store up to three times the physical capacity of the drive. The 19.2 TB drives are PCIe Gen 4-based technology which combined with the updated FlashSystem 9500 architecture, offer greater bandwidth and performance. These can be augmented with storage-class memory drives to accelerate your top tier workloads. The IBM 4666 FlashSystem 9500 SFF NVMe control enclosure model AH8 features two node canisters and up to 3 TB cache (system total) in a 4U, 19-inch rack mount enclosure. It holds up to forty-eight 2.5-inch NVMe FlashCore modules or industry-standard flash drives and supports the attachment FlashSystem 9000 expansion enclosures.
