Converting both media and speed, the iMcV-MediaLinX series is the most flexible in the industry, enabling network administrators to connect 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps twisted pair network segments to 100Base-FX duplex or single-strand fiber optic cabling.
The MediaLinX series enables network managers to configure the twisted pair port for Auto-Negotiation or Selective Advertising, or force the speed to 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps and between Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex. What's more, you can even set the fiber port for Half- or Full-Duplex operation if required.
The MediaLinX series of fiber converters is also available in single-strand fiber versions to effectively double the data transport capacity of the fiber, as well as fault-tolerant versions for mission-critical applications.
iMcV-MediaLinX modules are easy to configure and manage with the GUI-based iView SNMP management application software, or with any other SNMP application such as HP OpenView. iView runs: standalone on Windows NT/XP/2000; as a standalone Java App
