This trackpad is great in the sense that it accomplishes exactly what you want it to, when you want it to. It is simple, clean, and uses just as easily as the trackpad on the new Macbook Pro models. Very comfortable, hasn't gotten gross or anything after several months of use, and works right out of the box. Since it is wireless, sometimes it takes a few seconds to connect to my computer, but the amount of time it takes doesn't impeded since it occurs while my computer is still waking up. I do like the material, however it feels a little more like plastic than the 2018+ Macbook pro trackpads, which feel more like metal. Both are very nice though and I don't have a problem with either. Overall if you want a setup that isn't typing/mousing directly on your Macbook, I would highly recommend this. Also, it maintains all the functionality that the normal trackpad has.
