The Data Silo DS400 is an aluminum rack mount or tower (tower model also includes steel) JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Devices) enclosure designed to reliably house up to nine 3.5 inch or half-height 5.25 inch CD-ROM, optical disk, tape or hard drives.
The DS400 comes equipped with four cooling fans, a 300 watt power supply, and supports from one to eight host interfaces. The DS400 chassis withstands an operating temperature of 50º C (122º F) and a storage temperature of up to 60º C (140º F).
The DS400 is shipped with nine brackets for adapting individual 3.5 inch devices to the DS400’s nine 5.25 inch bays.
Internal wiring for up to nine drives, with 50-pin Microminiature, 68-pin Wide, or 68-pin Wide VHDCI (used for Ultra2 (LVD) rear panel connectors, is optionally available. Internal cable integration is available free of charge.
