There are items that the system will not let you get in bulk (or at least more than one) like MS Office software, you have to call to update your order. That was a longer-than-necessary process because they want to go over everything again after you've done it online already.

I have only had the computer for one week and thus far i am very pleased with it. It is have the thickness of my ol my old computer and half of the weight. I ordered the Microsoft Office package for Student and came loaded on the computer. I also ordered the Premier support package and this is the biggest and best surprise so far. Their help has been invaluable and they are very easy to reach. No long voice response menus to work through The computer is fast and the images on sharper and claner. So far i am very pleased. I am a low-tech user; Word, Excel and email primarily.

Excellent workhorse machine, great power utilization, speed etc. Two quick issues: the touchpad seems a little bit sensitive to water, including sweat; and I'm not a giant fan of the Fn button being where the Ctrl button often is on larger keyboards, but that's a form-factor thing and I'm easily getting around it with a wireless keyboard. Overall I give it an A!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Built, Nice Price The Lenovo ThinkPad is competing for desk space against a Surface Pro. I bought the ThinkPad to add better video editing and sound recording to my setup. It is sturdy, quite comfortable, lighter than expected, and packs up nicely for portability. Battery life is quite long compared to what I expected and it's going up against my Surface Pro, which means it is working against another high quality machine. The processor and additional RAM have made the laptop snappy and quick. I enjoy the added MicroSD card slot for more flash memory and for being able to move data directly from my cameras to the device for editing. Hibernation allows the laptop to sit idle for most of the day since I often forget it's even ready for me. The screen pixel count is a bit low but that is comparing it against the Surface at twice the price. It seems rugged and willing to be mobile as needed for quick moves, just like the Surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a good laptop. Overall this is an excellent laptops with some minor flaws. The performance is good. I installed memory hungry software and it is holding up well. I picked up 16 GB Ram options based on my needs. Fingerprint reader makes it easy to unlock but sometimes it doesn't work. In terms of weight, it is better than the other laptops i have used in the past. In terms of price point, I bought it during a sale season and got it under one thousand dollars, no other good brand gave me this configuration for the same price at that time. I liked the privacy filter on the camera. I think this is good laptop for people who are looling for above average performance. This laptop i have it does not change the brightness based on surrounding environment. The accessories such as docking station are also affordable. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

The computer itself is just as capable as the spec sheet declares. It's plenty of capable of meeting the needs of an engineering grad student. The only time it struggles is when asked to open large Solidworks assemblies and FEA sims. But that is to be expected. My only complaint is that the battery in this ThinkPad feels shorter than that of other ThinkPads I had supplied during internships. Don't get me wrong I can still work more than half the day on this machine without charging, but that is a bit different than what I had become accustom to from prior machines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think I like it I received this laptop through Miami Dade and FPL to assist with my participation in the Kickstart program. I previously had a HP laptop that I was using. A little bigger than my 13" laptop, I loved that it still has some components that are being eliminated from laptops such as a RJ 45 slot. Not sure about the Micro SD slot as it seemed to not read it. The battery life is longer than my HP but it seems like the screen could be larger as there is a big border that seems a bit too big. Haven't figured out the red button in the middle of the keyboard but my daughter says its also a sort of mouse. As someone in the IT field, I appreciate a machine that can handle the amount of tasks I need to accomplish and the programs I need to download. Still figuring out the ins and outs but so far I am pleased.

I wish it had an extra USB port and the location of the FN (function key took me some time to get used to as it is where the CTRL key is on many other keyboards. Speaking of the keyboard, I'm coming from a larger-framed laptop that had the number pad on the side and I miss that. I like the built-in device that physically covers the web camera. It has helped prevent some of those awkward moments when the video is on unexpectedly! Overall, it has been reliable so far.

I purchased this to carry with me when I work from home and work out of the house. It is so much lighter than I am used to, which is great. It also allows me to the power I need to have several cloud based apps open on my computer. I did for the first time hear the motor come on. This is after about two weeks of daily use. SO this is why it isn't a full five star.

Reported to support and they sent me a new one since my older one was still under 30 days return free warranty. This one is much better but I have to reinstall my Linux image and took me a whole week to set it up. I think Lenovo should refund me the time I spent. Found out the finger tracker does not work under Linux and I should not have added this feature.

The design is sleek and built to last. I use the finger print reader and able to start working just a few seconds after powering on. The keys are comfortable and invite accurate typing. I enjoy the small size of the 14 inch laptop and it is also light when transporting. I would definitively purchase another.

The "Fn" and "Ctrl" keys on the left side of the keyboard have been swapped compared to every other keyboard I have ever seen or used - that is a HUGE inconvenience and will take time for me to adjust. It seems to be okay for accomplishing the basic needs without being overly pricey.

Battery: Irreplaceable working laptop, I get 5 hours in performance mode and over 9 hours with battery saver on. Port: I got HDMI, 2*USB 3, Lighting and Type-c, Micro Card reader, Earphone port, CS18 Port, Ethernet Port. Over-qualified for daily work conditions, I do purchase a dock to connect my second monitor, which works great. (need to use VGA Monitor Temp: Easily handle daily work, Intel HD Graphics can handle some light picture processing with acceptable CPU Temp. Most time the fan work in quiet mode, only in some heavy load condition you can head them working, hardy can feel the heal from the keyboard. Upgrade: My laptop has an M.2 2280 SSD in the 2.5inches hard drive position, and one 2240 SSD port for further update. 2 memory card slots, which enough for most people's requirements. Screen: Light enough for office indoor use, kind of struggling at outdoor conditions. Nice color solution [No-picture/video process level user] Nice Feature: By far the best keyboard I have used on laptops, great typing experience. Lightweight body and fast charging ability. Fingerprint unlock Camera Physics block [simple the best] Summary: A great choice is you use it as a working laptop, strong portability and reasonable price make it one of the best options compare to other brand.

However, the website is atrociously lacking in helping with selection of features, and in which computers they are available. I am also upset that the high end ThinkPad I bought a few years ago has no support for the "video memory" problem. I wish IBM would buy this line back.

He absolutely loves the device, the speed, convenience and ease of use, and pixel clarity when preparing for my upcoming courses this fall.
