MANUFACTURER'S FAULT
I bought this laptop, it's in impeccable condition, charged with protective APC unit, and mother board burns, was warranted at the time, they repaired it, it burns a few months later again, this time smoking. Hardly used, only for a studies occasionally. It's a beautiful laptop but definitely has a manufacturer issue

Quality Construction
Excellent machine perfect for the healthcare environment. Any company could assemble the hardware, but Lenovo products feel of quality construction. Also fits nicely in a crammed work bag with a large coffee.

T490 Healthcare edition
Good battery life and audio . Keyboard is great and the trackpad is one of the best I have ever used . I purchased the T490 Healthcare Edition and it is very sturdy . The fingerprint sensor is hit or miss , and gives me a little bit of trouble when I try to add fingerprints onto accounts . Other than that a very good laptop overall .

Awesome workhorse of a machine.

Starts fast. Did not come with bloatware. Good clean hard drive. Good battery life so far. Gets modest computing tasks done very quickly.

The laptop worked well for two years and then all of a sudden, every time the laptop is placed in sleep mode, it re-boots, losing all my work. I sent it to the depot for repair, re-installed Windows and the behavior keeps happening. After extensive research, I found out that this issue is very common with many Lenovo models, not just Thinkpads. I was a fan of Lenovo and Thinkpads for many years, but quality has definitely gone down.
This is the last time I purchase a Lenovo. I really love the Thinkpad keyboard, which is the most comfortable of any laptop, but this issue is extremely frustrating and the Lenovo support team was not able to resolve it.
