Light weigh, performance and hi-resolution
Light weight, performance and exceptional touch screen. The i7 processor, 16gb memory and 3840x2160 screen resolution, weighing in at less than 3lb make it ideal for my "on the road software development" work. I take it everywhere. It has the features that I expect - backlit keyboard so that I can work on long haul flights without turning on the overhead light.

An Amazing Laptop
An amazing little laptop. I got this one for my wife who has never owned a Lenovo product but she says ‘it is the nicest laptop she has ever owned’. The build quality is always great with the Thinkpad series and this one is no different, it really dose feel indestructible. The X13 is super light and the Yoga design, touch screen, and built in stylus are awesome. I also have to say it arrived much faster than we were expecting. Absolutely worth every cent.

Great laptop - couple of features short of "aha"
Purchased this for work use (mainly powerpoint, excel, word, OneNote, browser) after a lot of research. Was an X1 carbon user in my previous org and loved it, but the budget in my new org wouldn't allow a Carbon - and I was keen on the Yoga / touchscreen combo - the X13 was the best compromise (although doesn't feel like one!)
Writing this after about a month of use.
The Pros:
- Great performance - superbly responsive with no lag even when running multiple programs (I usually have way too many programs and tabs open). I must especially call-out time to the wake up from sleep / login from screenlock (when resuming work after having been away for some time). It is truly instantaneous!
- The perfect Keyboard (of course!)
- Great battery life - I can go a whole workday without plugging in!
- Very quiet - I've never heard the fan go whirring into overdrive to cool the excess heat, although it may be too early to judge
- Very low heat - again this one needs more time to be sure of
- Right screen - I find the 300 nits on my model great as I generally do not prefer screens that are too bright
- Lightweight - yes it isn't as sleek as the X1s, but it is pretty light in its own right
- Feels sturdy (again, maybe not as good as the X1 Carbon, but quite good for the money despite the plastic lid. Note that only the non-touchscreen X13s come with Carbon Fiber lid)
The Cons:
- The volume on audio calls (both mic and speaker) is often insufficient
- Doesn't come with the in-built stylus (thinkpen) and stylus slot (although tbf, I overlooked this when buying and only found out after it was delivered)
- Large bezels (although you can live with this)
- The powerbutton on the side can take some getting used to
- Can feel heavy at times - especially when using in the tablet mode and / or if you are used to the weight of the X1s / X1 Carbons
- Brief lag in loading up the multitude of chrome tabs I leave open after resuming from sleep / lockscreen mode sometimes

Excellent laptop
I'm coming from an X1 carbon 4th gen. With several upgrades the x1 carbon gen 8 was a bit over my budget. I have been using an add on privacy screen on my x1 and was interested in the new 500 nits privacy guard display as an alternative. I saw that the x13 had a plastic cover whereas the x13 yoga has a carbon fiber cover (which I really liked with my x1 carbon), so I decided to go with the x13 yoga with the basic i5 processor, 16gb ram with the privacy guard display. I do like the 500 nits privacy guard as it is similar to having the add on privacy screen on when in use, but now I can watch with a nice bright screen when privacy is not needed without the hassle of removing the add on privacy screen each time, and having to re-attaching when needed. The x13 yoga size is a bit smaller than the x1 carbon but to me it is negligible, and definitely was worth the price savings for me. The x13 yoga is as sturdy as the x1 carbon, and in the few days I've had it has worked flawlessly. I am pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend.

Ok but not great
* Battery does not last much.
* Some days it does not turn on, the only solution is to open it with a small screwdriver, push a button inside and then close it again until it works.
* Some days i can't turn it off, the fan keeps making noise until the battery is over.
* The cam stopped working, and so the facial recognition functionallity.
i will immediately contact the technical service to fix all these issues or to replace it by another one, or a better model.

Student Review
I bought X13 yoga with an i7 processor and would give it 4/5 stars. It does almost everything I need it to do. I think the camera is decent and the screen brightness is pretty great. Speakers are A level and I love how this laptop keeps usb a ports since I use those often. I can carry this laptop in one hand if I need to and it's quite comfortable to move around. Keyboard is great and minimizes my typing sound since I am a loud typer. The trackpad is not as sensitive but I use the nub and a mouse more often so that's not a huge problem. My biggest complaint is the heating on the laptop when it is charging. If you plug it in and it's off then it's fine. But if you're just in a zoom meeting while plugged in, then the laptop get's very hot at times and I would avoid touching it. The heat is kept to the general area where the battery is but I wish that it could be more spread out so it wouldn't be so hot. The laptops fans are pretty low noise and definitely not bothersome. I'm still not used to the pen option but there is a downside which is that the screen will definitely sense your hand if the hand is on top of the screen. If you're buying this laptop for drawing solely then I would probably look elsewhere. However if you're like me and think you can train yourself to write without your hand touching the screen then it shouldn't be a problem. As an engineering student I switch a lot between zoom meetings, online multitasking, and online work for my campus job. I've kept track of my usage and it seems like I roughly get 6-7 hours out of one full charge before I hit the 10% battery level. I definitely see this laptop lasting me a few years like my past one.

A great sale made this purchase possible, and this laptop is everything I wanted it to be. It checked all of the boxes for features and specs I was looking for. It's fast and responsive, and everything works great. I use and like the touchscreen more than I thought I would, and I keep trying it on my not touchscreen work laptop. My only complaint is that the lenovo website is not user friendly.

If you're done with those flimsy Surface devices..
After suffering through two Surface devices, one that lasted almost a year and another that lasted almost 14 months, I made the decision to be an adult and leave childish devices behind. The X13 Yoga is phenomenal - sleek, light, powerful, and none of that flimsy toy-like feel that you get with the Surface devices. I maxed my X13 Yoga out pretty well with an i7 and 16GB and I just couldn't be more delighted. Battery life is incredible, given the processor power. I have no problem working an entire day on a single full charge. Oh, and the magnesium chassis is sweet because it makes the device light, but incredibly rigid. And because of that rigid chassis, the keyboard comes closest to a desktop keyboard of any mobile device I've used in the past few years. Sound is more than decent. Webcam is solid and it has the on/off shutter feature, which is a nice extra. Yoga feature rocks and the built-in stylus makes note-taking and drawing a joy!

LOVE this Thinkpad! This is my second one and I feel they are the best on the market. I love all the feature from the built-in pen to the touch screen. It's also really nice to be able to block the video with the cover over the camera. This is a powerhouse for a small footprint laptop. Terrible device. The system just turns off a few times in an hour. I don't know what is wrong with it. Before I purhase this product I contacted Lenovo customer service and asked about the privacy guard for this device and this serial number. They confirmed that this product has a option of the privacy guard but I've tried it many times and it seems like this device does not support this option. Although, this device is FHD version and the price is expensive enough to include some options. The manual also mentions that this device supports privacy guard but the hot key(fn + d) does not activate the option. I don't recommand this device.

Thin & light, warped & hot!
The idea of this thin and light sounds great. The reasons I give it 2 stars is because I found some flaws. First, the chassis is not perfectly flat, so it doesn't sit completely flat on a flat surface. Second, the underside gets very hot, especially when charging. It is a laptop but you can't always put it on your lap due to the high temperatures.

This is truly one of the next generation ultraportable workhorse machines. Lighter than my old X series, tons of computing memory, and did you notice that it's a 2-in-1 with a superb touchscreen? USB-C connections! Great battery life, even under a bit of load.
My favorite part: I'm a developer running Linux, and the hardware pretty much all just worked out of the box; I have the choice of the Windows system it comes with as welll, but I didn't have to sacrifice a single feature.

DO NOT BUY: JACKED AFTER A YEAR
So that year warranty is a year for a reason. Hit 18 months and the keyboard died. No water damage, no fall damage. I have had nothing but issues from the beginning with it bricking itself if it was left on over night. Not worth the money, better to burn it than to drop $2000 on something that won't last 2 years.

Works well with professional look
My Lenovo x13 is working like a charm. The pen/stylus has been so useful for projects and brainstorming. I like the ability to go from computer to tablet with ease. I am only docking a star from perfect for aesthetics and some learning issues with tablet mode. This model is great for those that need a professional laptop with tablet options. This model will not turn heads at the library, but it sure will run smooth. Time will tell how long the efficiency lasts.

X13 YOGA extra tapping issue with track pad.
It seems to me like maybe there are dead spots on the track pad. I have to do a lot of extra tapping to close a window. I notice it with swiping as well. At first I thought it was that I just wasn't paying attention, but then I really paid attention and confirmed that I was tapping correctly but with no results. Sometimes I move the cursor off the x and back and then it works. I went into settings and increased the sensitivity to maximum but I am still tapping and swiping extra times. Fiddly and annoying. My previous laptop was an older but good quality Asus, maybe I got spoiled? I thought a Thinkpad would be be comparable. If this quirk is not typical of a Lenovo X13 Yoga please let me know.

Solid Work Horse!
It's been a full month in full use before I post this review. This way, any kinks would have been known and therefore shared. Basically, it was my attempt to break it before the warranty runs out, and I wasn't being gentle with this machine, although not abusing it. I have placed this machine through expected course of use, desktop and laptop functions. I am pleased to say that this X13 has passed everything I have thrown at it, meaning installing devices (BT and wires), install software, uninstall software, using it until battery depleted, recharge it, docking it to 3rd party docking station, etc. It has proven to be a solid built machine to my pleasant surprise. That being said, here are pros and cons on the X13. BTW, this is a full fledge i7 v-pro with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, and with privacy screen and IR/HD camera. And Kudos to the Lenovo team for this beautiful laptop.
Pros: Very light, nice to travel with it. Just the right amount of ports to add peripherals as needed and a headphone jack to boot. Screen is bright and resolution is crisp. Keyboard is pleasantly comfortable to type and has many built-in functions such as backlighting, etc. 2-in1 function is perfect to convert from laptop to desktop for use with multiple monitors. Price (on sale) was best on Lenovo website in Feb, and so far, nothing out there has beat the price for the same setup and features.
Cons: The integral pen is both a pro and a con. Pro is that it's docking inside the X13 so it's charged and ready to go when needed. Con is that it's hard to use because it's so thin for gripping it. I suggest buying the accessory Active pen, which is very nice pen to use for taking notes. This pen comes with a plastic carrier that connects to the USB-A port for storage; you will loose the use of the port and it does interfere with other ports. It would be super if a slot is built into base for this purpose so that the functionality of ports is retained.

Really happy with this purchase
This product came faster than expected from Lenovo. It is smaller than my previous Yoga, but I'm really happy with the layout. One negative is that the case is way too slick for my clumsiness. Everything was easy and smooth to set it up. I'm really happy with this purchase. I'll keep purchasing Lenovo products!

Laptop is Great, Customer Service Is NOT
Purchased a lenovo thinkpad yoga x13 gen 1 from the lenovo website last week. Computer is great. Discovered that the microphone was not working so I chatted with microsoft and installed the latest version of windows and and uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio/microphone drivers. After that I scanned my computer using Lenovo's website and verified my machine had the latest software installed. Next, I tested the microphone on a video/audio call and the people I was chatting with said they could hear me fine. I tested the microphone in the device settings and the "highest value we saw was 6 percent" despite having the microphone volume at 100 and speaking loudly and in close proximity to the machine. Software issue? The microphone seems to be working fine, but the device properties test says otherwise. I called lenovo to request assistance from the software department. They said they could only help me if I purchased a $69 software warranty. WHAT?! This is a brand new, 1 week old, machine. Why would I pay more money? Jeez. Thanks for the help Lenovo. Will not be getting my business again.

Love the versatility not the fan/fingerprint prob
I love this versatile piece! I decided on getting this rather than an iPad Pro or Surface Pro. I give it 4 stars due to the intermittent function of the fingerprint reader and the 3 times the fan started going off while on sleep mode. That was scary for a non-PC user, i searched and found this was a glitch in the BIOS? Sorry but I do not understand. I am a basic computer user. If I pay a good amount of money for a product, I expect a fix for this.

Eh. not the best for the price, but also solid buy
honestly for the price. It's alright. Maybe i just got an old one or something but its definitely not running at what it should be able to. It's a bit slow and the build quality is meh. Given what is inside, I expected something a little bit more powerful so everyday causal use, but as stated, I might have just received one that was not standard. Regardless, I would still rate the laptop at solid 3 stars overall for its basic performance and price/cost

Would love for the trackpad to work
I literally just had my laptop arrive 3 days ago and I've had the trackpad stop tracking, click at random, delete full pages of text...oh and the audio driver uninstalled and deleted itself. I bought this for school...I cannot work when the trackpad has a mind of its own and the audio disappears every time Windows decides its time to try something new. The only reason the rating isn't lower is because that little audio thing has happened with EVERY SINGLE LENOVO THINKPAD I'VE OWNED. Which is only two, but weird it happened twice--right? Anyways, wish Lenovo would fix that so students can actually, I don't know, attend classes during a pandemic?
Haha love and kiss xoxo.
Laptop's kinda pretty tho.

Fan turns on while laptop is dead...
I bought this laptop 3 months ago. It arrived after 5 weeks and I loved it. It's lightweight, fast, doesn't heat, solid hinge, and overall well rounded laptop. I'm a university professor, so I used this laptop for class and research. It's basically everything I needed in a laptop, except for one major problem that happens a couple times a week. The issue is that when the laptop is off, the fan would suddenly turn on while the laptop is on. When that happens, the laptop wouldn't turn on and the fan wouldn't stop. The only way to stop it is to physically disassemble the laptop and remove the battery plug to reset it. It used to happen around twice a week. Customer support replaced the motherboard twice and stated that a cable also needed to be replaced, nothing fixed it. I'm now in the process of getting a replacement.

Exactly what I needed. Perfect for everyday use. Bought one of these several years ago for my daughter for college and hers is still working great with no problems. Needed to upgrade my personal computer for my small business usage and it's perfect for what I need. I can display to customers easily and it's light-weight yet durable. Love it!

Lots of trouble with track pad.
Physically, after 11 months, the trackpad had worn down where I used it most and became over sensitive in those parts. So now it is uneven in its responsiveness. On top of this, the cursor disappears periodically. It is some kind of software error. I don't even use a lot of the resources -- mostly just the browser with a bunch of tabs open, and Spotify running. But it gets overloaded. I've used cheapo Chromebooks that have been far more reliable.
You can fold the keyboard 360 degrees around to use the thing as a tablet, but then you expose the keyboard underneath, which isn't ideal. Much better to use an actual tablet.
The lighted keyboard is useful.
The screen does have good visuals. Bright and detailed.
My screen cracked. No idea why -- never happened with any other laptop I used.
I do occasionally need to use my MS Office programs so I need to use this laptop, but generally I prefer to use my cheap HP Chromebook which works better for most purposes.
