We had put off upgrading our computers for so long, as I am always concerned with the change over and worried we would have issues. the machines are small, and quiet and FASST! Love them. Only criticism I have is when we ordered it did not say in the description that a keyboard and mouse came with the machine, so we ordered them separately so I now have 4 extra keyboards and mice.

Very disappointing, I dont even think it will pass Microsoft's fast boot protocol. A brand new computer should not sit for 4 mins before booting up. It has a built in M2 SSD drive. gimme a break!

However I was disappointed that Wi-Fi was not included as part of the computer. No one at Lenovo or their parts department were able to assist. Purchased a PCI Express card from Amazon and was able to easily connect. But some notes in the user manual would have made it easier. Increasing the RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB is not simple - took a little bit more thinking/work on how to access. There should have been instructions on how to do this. But the unit is now working great - no issues.

I had it connected to the back of my Lenovo which was giving me the issues. After about a week of frustration, I connected to the front of the Lenovo and I have had no issues.

It only has a displayport (no HMDI port) but if you need to connect to an HDMI monitor you can get DP to HMDI cables. Lots of usb ports.The intel 9400 cpu is very fast ! I like the size of the pc and the horizontal or vertical positions.

There are two PCI slots for expansion, but only a 180 Watt power supply. Otherwise very happy with my purchase. It's fast and is working well as a live-streaming computer.

The I5 256ssd loads fast and handles my needs. It does have a way to add a larger hard drive when I need it. I built most of my computers but like me they are getting old and not very secure. So far these machines hardware passes all security test. I am not a gamer so I don't need high speed graphics and large hard drives but for banking and ordering I need security.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vertical DVD drive not best configuration 1-Having the DVD drive mounted vertically is a disaster. It takes two hands to load the DVD and then a lot of pressure to seat it. After 3 copies of a DVD were made the 4th DVD fell off the mount while inside the computer. Can't even see the loose DVD. Took PC cover off case, but DVD drive was blocked by the hard drive. Finally using a thin screwdriver and a bright flashlight, I managed to scape and pull out the loose DVD, scratching it badly in the process. Glad is was a blank DVD, not a installation DVD. The DVD copying speed is about 30% slower than my old Win 7 computer. Guess I'm going to have to buy an external DVD drive to replace the vertical mounted one. 2 - Using a wireless mouse with the USB receiver mounted in the front 2 USB ports and a USB memory card in the other port restricts the mouse's range on the desktop. 3- Could not get external speakers connected in the rear port to work until I found a setting on the desktop to change over whatever default the PC came set for. A Win 10 issue I guess. 4- Need better instructions on setting up the PC. The small ThinkCentre setup guide (in 5 languages) was very basic and not much help except for the connector layout guide. 5- I have an external hard drive connected through a USB port. Works great for my old PC, but cannot find the drive on the Lanovo after connecting to the USB port? May have to disconnect the old PC, but need it active to transfer my data files. 6- On the positive side, the computer is quiet and very responsive. And I like the small footprint of the case - can keep it on the desktop rather than on the floor. Except for the vertical DVD drive it is good computer.

I opted for the SSD drives with 8GB ram for simple office machines, the staff loves the response time and the ease of adding peripherals. From an IT perspective they are very simple to maintain and join to domain networks.

Now, I can’t see myself going back to HDD ever. One con is that it does not have a wifi adapter. No, problem. I used a wifi usb nano to solve the problem. Because of small form factor, it is harder to make changes to the interior. I will eventually need to add another drive. Included 256GB SSD is small if you plan to save a lot of files.

So far it is a quality computer for basic work, gaming, and personal tasks. ans turn on automatically to prevent overheating. Functions like bluetooth and wifi would require adapters.

However, the signal in from the amp to the microphone input gives a very muddy, phasing signal to the SoundForge software I use. It worked fine on my old computer. SoundForge will record and give a nice signal on anything off of YouTube and record from the CD drive but not from the microphone input. I now believe I need to modulate the signal from the amp to fit this soundcard. The computer has been back to the seller and a new motherboard was installed. Did not help. Anything this forum can say to help?
