Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had a user that really messed up the firmware upgrade and brought it in to see if we could help him. With the use of TFTP function I was able to recover the router. Runs like new again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Setup and to get you network setup at home , firewall needs some work to block specific traffic not wanted on your network and keeping you safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Was able to portforward as necessary. Couldn't change its DHCP options, but I just disabled it outright and let another computer manage the heavy lifting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but surprising lack of advanced features. Works well for small business, but surprising lack of advanced features for the price. Most particularly logging and monitoring capabilities. However, if you replace factory firmware with an open source product like DD-WRT it does everything you'd need it to do and works very reliably.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product. Provided strong signal through my 2400 square foot home when positioned on one end of the house. The ability to prioritize items is also a nice feature.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low end wifi I needed to replace a failing wifi device in our office. I purchased this device for the offices at the front of the building. It was a little confusing at first in choosing how I wanted to set it up (wifi access point or as a wireless router), but once I figured it out the deice has a strong and steady signal. The range is better than I would have expected. I have received no complaints out of anyone in the office about it...and I was getting complaints daily before I implemented it. All in all, this would be good for use in a small business area or for home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Modem has poor download performance when uploading files to the cloud Unfortunately this modem didn't meet my expectations.- Worse performance than stock modem provided by DSL ISP. - Uploading performance suffers from extreme bufferbloat issues. In other words, if your phone is trying to backup photos to the cloud, all other devices on the network downloading from the net will lose their connection or go miserably slow. This doesn't happen with the stock modem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Router, Great Value I am to totally satisfied with this router. As an experienced computer and network services person I have always trusted NetGear and have not been disappointed. The AC1900 router was purchased to replace an older model wireless system that had become obsolete in our home. Perhaps the best point to be made is that my wife's new cell phone is now able to stream videos and music without any interruptions that were occurring with the older router. I have noticed that both the hardwired and wireless devices are performing better. The setup and customization for our network was easily done using the NetGear Genie app. I am impressed that NetGear advises me if a firmware upgrade/fix is available for my new unit instead of me having to go look for it.
