Having two different bands and the ability to extend the wireless signal securely was easy with this unobtrusive instrument. It just plugs into a wall plug for power and is easy to set up.

I thought my wireless router could handle all the 2.4 GHz devices I installed but, when I had 17+ devices, things started to drop off the network. Smoke detectors, thermostat, WiFi printers would drop off the network then reconnect after a reboot of the router. After a few days they would drop off again. It was driving me insane! After doing some research it was recommend to install a access point. I chose the AC2200 since I could directly hard wire it to my router and it had both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. After installing this access point and re-worked what devices connected to the router/access point I have yet to have a device drop off my network. That included NEW 2 HD security cameras I just installed. Everything works great with out that lag you get when you are streaming videos and turning on the house light. If you are experience the same problems with your smart home I highly recommend the AC220. I'm very pleased!

With the AC2200 setting it up was pretty easy. I do have to say use a lab top to set it up. I first tried to use my phone and I was having trouble and had to reset the extender multiple times. Once I used the lab top it was a breeze. I now have WiFi coverage through out my house. The only criticism I have, is you will have to connect manually to the extender if you turn off any device that was connected to it. Hopefully In the next update it will be addressed. Great product.

After using the extender for several days, there were intermittent interuptions of the wifi connection. After reading about this problem online, the primary resolution was to update the firmware. Once the firmware was updated to the latest version, the extender worked flawlessly with incredable range.

In a distant area of the house where we once struggled to maintain connection or achieved a maximum connection speed of 4MB down, we now maintain a steady connection with an avg 74MB down and 10MB up, on a 400MB down, 12MB up home Internet service. Quite an improvement!

Moved to a location approximately 30 feet away from the router with a wall between the extender and the router and this little devil is transmitting the signal to my laptop and Roku stick like it's nobody's business. Some of the rooms in the house are on the 3rd floor and could not get WiFi since the router is in the rec room in the basement which actually puts it 4 floors away. The extender is placed on the second floor. We are now able to get a signal in those rooms.

I took off a star because the directions were vague. By copying the exact name of the network, it was hard to know the device was working. I wish it would rename it with a different extension so that one can tell the gizmo works.

My kids stated they were not getting kicked off as much and they maintained a much stronger connection which allowed for less interference which had prompted us getting the new WiFi extender. But, I had to find its IP address through the router to launch the its web page, a bit confusing because the one that suggested by the manual didn't work. Well, it didn't bother me after all. It works so well to cover the whole house plus the yards, really worth for such investment.

Just be patient when says will take 2 minutes, it might take 5 minutes depending on current internet strength. I recommend this product for anyone needing WiFi in a room distant from the router, especially for work or gaming.

I went ahead and followed the steps to setup the extender feature. It exceeded my expectations and has turned out to be the perfect solution. I needed to improve the WiFi on an upper level and this did exactly what I wanted.

In gaming, it caused a lot of lagging. After installing the extender, every device boosted up to 100% signal strength. No more lag. It also has an option where you can switch it from an extender to an access point. I give this device 2 thumbs up.

Instructions for updating software are good once you find them. But I’m usually bouncing around the net until I find the one that work for me. That being said I’m not a new customer and because of the available upgrades I have been using this for a couple of years now. I know I need an upgrade when it stops working well. Because of course comcast doesn’t tell us when they update the modem. And when they update the modem you need to update the extender. All that said I recommend this for a multistory your smart tv is far away from your modem purchase

All the way to the cottage out back of the main house. There's a small hiccup when moving between coverage areas, but only momentarily. Very happy with this product.

After I brought and installed the Nighthawk range extender that more than adequately took care of the problem. Also; I was able to keep my 200+ mbps speed as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super strong signalI use the AC2200 as an access point using Cat5 cable hardwired to my Netgear N750 router (approx 70' distance from router to extender). I have it plugged into a wall outlet 6' off the floor and approx 5' from a window. In this capacity, I receive a signal as far as 500' away on my 10ac property. In fact, the AC2200 signal is stronger than the router's wifi signal that it's connected to. My devices rarely switch from the AC2200 signal to the N750 signal regardless of where I'm at on the property. I can't speak to the extender mode strength as I only use in access point mode. Install and set up was very simple. Just be sure to be patient and wait at least the stated 100 seconds for it to power up when first plugging in to wall outlet. Great product!

I've used WiFi range extenders for 10 years+ and still have had problems in some of the far reaches of my house. The AC2200 Nighthawk is full scale in every reach of the house and the 5G is stronger than any other range extender I've tried! Highly recommended.

I've had excellent reception since installing it. It's fairly small but if it were a little smaller I could fit it behind my TV and just plug it into the TV instead of running the TV wirelessly

But if you're particular about what you're connected to as I am, I would suggest naming the extender name something different rather than sharing the same wifi name otherwise you will always be connected to the extender even if you are closer to the modem.Other than that, 5 stars! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for TiVo MiniWe have a TiVo and several Minis the issue is that the Minis have no wireless and are supposed to be used only on a hardwired RJ45 or MoCa connection. The internet plug on the EX7300 provides the 'wired' connection and we can now use the Minis anywhere in the house (or yard, when the weather warms up...) Easy setup and does what I wanted. The speed seems to be quite good for streaming from the TiVo.

My primary router is in the basement and I was getting spotty coverage for my second floor. With this device installed, I have full-strength WiFi coverage on both 2G and 5G throughout my house. Make sure you review the instructions for updating the firmware before you get started. It supports mesh networking but you need a firmware update first. The only downside is that because it uses a wizard for setup you must configure it first, then update the firmware. Once that's done, you have to reset to factory defaults and configure it again. It would be nice if the wizard gave you a chance to update firmware before completing the initial configuration. All told, I had it up and running in 30 minutes.

The range extender ensures that my 300mbps modem reaches places it simply cannot. By placing it directly underneath the modem near an outer wall outlet, the signal can reach all the way out to the yard.

We decided to go with this one because it was from the same family. All I had to do was to plug it in and follow the steps in the app and it started working the magic. We absolutely love that the new extender adds to the current WiFi network and doesn’t create a separate one with EXT suffix. Now we can enjoy improved WiFi quality in our backyard!

Signal to the master bedroom is next to nothing. The Nighthawk X4 AC2200 solved this problem for me. Now I'm having 100 mbs all around the house with no issues.

I have many devices (iPads, iPhone, computers, printers that need WIFI. But I was having trouble with some devices not finding the WiFi. With this extender, problem is solved.

In my back house, because of the brick walls between the two houses. My connection isn't terribly far, just lots of interference. Most other extenders I've bought over the years couldn't give me more then 30 or 40 mbps. With this extender I get 75 to 85 mbps connected with WiFi. And 90 to 105 directly connected to the extender itself. Would recommend this to anyone I know. Great product.

My router is the Nighthawk x6 and I needed stronger coverage in my bedroom located in the rear of the house. The X6 router is located in the front of the house. The xtender is located midway in the kitchen. The LEDs will assist you with proper placement. Once everything was set, I sat on the floor in the furthest corner of the back bedroom and took a speedtest using 2.4 and 5gig signals, KABOOM! 120 meg/sec using my Note 4 phone on the 5gig network. It was as if I was sitting right next to the router in the livingroom. I've had it for almost a month now and haven't had any change in signal strength, range or speed. 5 Stars!!!

I am using two EX7300's to extend wifi from the house to an outbuilding approx. 250 feet away. The purpose isnto stream movies and have internet capabilities for the extra space. Love it.

Setup took 5-10 minutes and I went with the single SSID. it says single SSID all over the box but instructions say they don't recommend that. You will be happy once complete and have a seamless WiFi network with a single SSID.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NETGEAR AC2200 5/2020We have found the NETGEAR AC2200 Mesh WiFi Extender (EX7300v2 to be a reliable and straightforward solution to increase our WiFi and an excellent purchase. It was simple to install using the “Connect with WPS” instructions. Once installed, we used the NETGEAR Nighthawk app to monitor its performance and see what devices were connecting to the extender. Our router is on the first floor, and we plugged the extender to an open-air hallway upstairs, and this has worked very well since my office is on the second floor. I especially like the mobility of the extender. I can move it outside on our deck and get a stronger signal. The other feature of the WiFi extender that I wasn’t fond of at first, but have now come to appreciate and now understand the logic, is the use of the same name as our router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overcame overloadDuring the COVID experience, we had more family online concurrently and scattered in our home. The Nighthawk swooped in and saved the day with giving us the consistent and expanded coverage to get our work and school work done.
