I was assured that this would fit in my XPS 8700 desktop but it did not. I had to return it and bought a GTX 1050 which works fine.

Half Height or Full Height form factor. Know before you buy!
HH or Half Height or Low Profile are all used to signify a card that fits in a small form factor workstation housing. The full height card has a metal mounting plate that is longer so it can bolt into the wider workstations. While the electronics are identical, you should know before you purchase which of the configurations you require. The HH cards seem to be more widely available but the price is the same. It would be helpful if Dell included a link to the HH card when looking at their full height card advertisement and vice versa.
