The Plugable UD-ULTC4K is a 13-in-1 dock designed for professionals, hybrid workspaces, and business deployments that need a flexible multi-monitor setup from a single USB-C connection. Named “Best Docking Station 2025” by How-To Geek, this dock turns a compatible laptop into a full desktop workstation with triple display support, laptop charging, wired networking, USB expansion, audio, and SD card access.
The UD-ULTC4K works as a triple monitor docking station with support for up to three external 4K 60Hz displays, depending on host system capabilities. With 3 HDMI outputs and 3 DisplayPort outputs, this 3 monitor docking station lets users mix and match monitor connections to fit their workspace. Each monitor connects directly to the dock using its own HDMI or DisplayPort cable; display cables are sold separately.
The rear USB-C host connection supports up to 100W USB-C Power Delivery, with 96W certified charging for supported laptops. The front USB-C port supports up to 10Gbps data transfer and up to 20W charging for compatible accessories such as phones, tablets, and peripherals. The front USB-C port is not used for laptop charging.
For Apple users, the UD-ULTC4K can be used as a macbook docking station or mac docking station with supported macOS systems. It is also compatible with supported Windows 10 or later and ChromeOS 100.x or later systems with Thunderbolt, USB4, or USB-C. DisplayLink drivers are required for DisplayLink-based video outputs. On macOS, Screen Recording permission is required by the driver to send video data to external displays; this does not record or store your screen.
HDCP is not supported, so protected streaming content from services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, or Apple TV+ may not play on displays connected through the dock. This displaylink docking station is best suited for productivity workflows such as spreadsheets, web apps, email, video conferencing, documents, dashboards, and business applications.
