Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't recommendWe've been using the Voyager Legend for some time, we like them, noise cancelling works well. We purchased a 5200 to test it out. The problem is we have a lot of charging hardware for the Voyager Legend. Plantronics deliberately made the new headset (5200) incompatible with their legacy charging bases and portable magnetic cords. They look the same, until you try to use them. Apparently Plantronics expects us to purchase all new hardware? Not acceptable, probably a good time to try something new..

Occasionally I have some issues with how it pairs but those issues are minor. The only negative is that they only last 1.5 - 2 years before the plastic right above the earpiece breaks. I have had 3 now and all have failed this way.

No problems pairing up.This 5200 has the ability to call the last outgoing call without pushing the button. Even when going thru the washing machine (Heavy Duty Cycle in my pants pocket. Took 5200 out of washer after wash completed put in windowsill in sunlight for hour. Works as good as the day I received from Amazon. Person on other end says the sound is the same and sound is just fine on my receiving end.I have had several Plantronics Voyager Legends in past and they don’t have this ability. Just amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good HeadsetI bought this headset as I was on vacation and could not find the charging cable for my Legend Voyager. Thus a new headset, it seems a little bit smaller than the Voyager, thus making it not fit me as well as the Voyager did. I eventually found my charging cable and tried to use it on the 5200 it has the same connections but does NOT fit. Plantronics, I do not need your charging case, and the new charging cable / computer cable setup is hard to work with. Make a plain cable for the unit... I can do so, but will have to modify one of my Legend cables... I have several as I wore 3 Legends out in the last 5 years. Good headset with way more than I wanted, but I like the design and way it fits... If you make the charging cable like the Voyager then you will be on to something for the Blue Collar worker...

I'm writing this review on the Voyager 5200 coming from a Voyager Legend.Looks: The red accents on the 5200 make it stand out from the legend. Otherwise there are small differences that don't change the appearance. Sound: I drive a tractor trailer 8 to 14 hours per day, everyone I talk to thinks I'm in an office. They cannot hear the motor of the tractor. They cannot hear the wind when the window is rolled down. I also drive with the radio on low while talking on the 5200, they can't hear the radio ether. Comfort: I wear glasses and I have no problem with ether piece. I wear the 5200 more then 12 hours everyday and a minute or two after I place it on my ear, I don't even know it is there anymore, sometimes I have to feel to see if it fell off.

I would like to see a smaller ear tip because I have a small inner ear but overall the small tip worked and I was able to comfortable wear it. Device also easily pairs to more than 1 device. I even fell asleep in it it was so comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad product qualityEver since I got the Voyager 5200 it did not work as intended, I can hear people but they can hear me at a lower volume or choppy. Sometimes I get dropped connection and I think i'm in a conversation but the conversation is actually on my Iphone's headset, same issue occurs on my MacBook Pro, I don't think this is intended for Apple devices.

From announcing who's calling to the clarity of calls , this is by far the best Bluetooth headset out in the market today. I've bought the Voyager Plus, The Legend, The Backbeat 903 and now the Voyager 5200 and Plantronics products have always been my first choice for quality and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound quality very goodThe Earpiece itself is an excellent product but I feel the item should include in the box the additional connecting piece that gets plugged into the wall besides just the cable. Also, on the website, the cables should be labeled exactly to the corresponding earpieces. The prior model Legend I owned had a magnetic cable to charge. The new one 5200 does not, so now I have to get all new cables and Outlet connectors for all my locations to charge this device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from V5200 Comfortable and good featuresI bought this to replace an aging Plantronics Voyager. I had hoped it would work better with my Lumia 950. It works a little better but sometimes I'll answer the call with the headset (i.e., it is ringing in the headset and the Bluetooth on the phone turns off so i have to grab the phone to turn it back on. Other times the headset just seemingly goes dead. Turning it on and off doesn't do anything - i can't make or receive calls. It shows as being connected on the phone but nothing happens on the headset. Then, all of a sudden, it starts to work again. Sometimes text messages are read to me over the headset but then it doesn't hear my spoken responses. I don't know if these are problems with the headset or the phone. I use other BT headsets with the phone and haven't experienced the same problems so I'm thinking it is unique to Plantronics. Many of these same problems occurred with the Voyager. Sound quality is great, it is comfortable and the features work. The marketing materials mention that it is update-able but the Plantronics MyHeadset app doesn't list this headset so i guess this isn't true.

I have other head pieces where you have to position the mic just right for phone calls. I am using at my job which occasionally requires phone support and it has performed well. The head piece is lightweight and comfortable. The integration with Google Now works well. The only negative issue, which is minor, is the charger. It has a mini hdmi which plugs into the bottom and is more cumbersome than a magnetic cradle slides over the end. My hands are large and I always worry about pushing too hard and damaging the connector vs. just slipping a cradle over the end. Otherwise, it appears to be superior to my previous headset. Overall, I would recommend the Voyage 5200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Truckers or others on the go!The Voyager 5200 carries on with the exceptional quality that I have come to expect from this Plantronics family. They have delivered again on the audio clarity and sound-cancelling that I have come to appreciate from the line as a professional truck driver. The fit is comfortable, as the unit is light-weight, you almost forget you are wearing it. One thing about the 5200 that I really appreciate over the Legend line is that they have brought back the micro-USB charging port that is absent on the Legend requiring the use of a dongle to connect to charge. The availability of a charging/storage case for both units is awesome as it is a great way to protect and charge when not in use or on the go and you need to keep going. Charging time is quick as I have come to expect from Plantronics. The sound quality is great, and the range is spectacular in when you have no obstructions between the headset and your device. I am once again extremely happy to have found another quality product from Plantronics, and it reaffirms my decision years ago to give them a try for a light-weight, high quality headset while at work. My only concern, and only time will tell on this, is if the materials used will hold up, as the flexible part of the unit appears to be made of the same material used in the Legend, and I have had it wear and break in the curve part that loops over your ear.

I am hearing impaired and this is the only bluetooth that is clear and loud enough to make it possible for me to hear my phone conversations while driving. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for work and home usageI purchased the plant tonics legend almost two years ago,after heavy usage in warehouse,office and home it's still in pretty good shape good battery life,most blue tooth devices cause pain if they stay in your ear too long,I will sometimes fall asleep with my legend on my,the voyager has all of the same features but with better sound quality the range seems to be better too I will leave my phone in my office when moving around and will still receive my alerts and phone calls this is a great product I would recommend this product especially to truck drivers I just wish I could use for ps4

After about a month, to turn off mute feature, I have to disconnect and reconnect. It was easier to just go back to the speaker and microphone built into my laptop. I even tried downloading the app to my phone and that did not help.

I decided to give it another try with this new model. The device is comfortable. I hardly notice I have it on. Works well and sounds great. My only concern at this time is that only three weeks of usage the battery after a full charge says 6 hours talk time. It use to say seven hours.

During conversations the signal is lost between the 5200 and my iPhone, then comes back automatically and continues until I shut it off.2. No Response from Plantronics asking for a solution. I have turned off the sensors and it seems to be working better I'll provide an update after a week or so.

Worked as expected for the first week or so, but then it... wouldn't fully charge, drop blue tooth connections, won't answer with command, tells you you have 3 hrs talk time left, then after a few minutes, tells you to recharge. So I took it back to JB Hi Fi where I bought it in Brisbane and they happily exchanged it and suggested i should check to update the software, so arrived at this site and decided to read the reviews and low and behold, most other people are having the same problem. What's with this Plantronics???? I have the blue tooth over ear headphones and they are brilliant (except as cancelling wind and background noise On a positive, the sound quality with this Voyager is brilliant and cancels background noise very well. Gosh I hope they take it back if this new one plays up. But what else to buy?

The ear piece pared instantly to my phone and was picked up by the plantronics hub softwre immediatly. The call clarity is better than my voyager legand, I havent received any complaints from callers. The controls are easy to use, and comfortable to wear. So far this is great bluetooth ear piece

This series includes a mobile app with a Find My Headset option. I have lost 2 other headsets before this one so this option should be nice to have with my track record. The last device was the Sennheiser handsfree which sounded really good as well but was disappointing in other ways compared to this 5220 model. The other thing I like is that Plantronics offers a Mac version of their utility software. The only complaint is the batter life. I don't talk a lot on the phone, maybe 30 minutes a day, but I find the batter is always low or the full state of charge is all over the place. Once the device said the state of charge is high. What does that mean? I read the other reviewer's same comment about battery life and have tried most of the suggestions from Plantronics however I should not have to tweak a brand new product to make it work correctly.

Call quality is good but I primarily use this for hands free streaming audio. Very disappointed and I had the earlier model with no issues.

I made several calls and had success in hearing the other parties They could also hear me very well. The fit was very comfortable with extra ear pieces included for a custom fit. Operation was made easy with buttons placed in convenient locations on the device. I was able to demonstrate the product to friends who also found the device to be of excellent quality and easy to use.

The charging case is a great accessory to get extra power/talk time and for storing the earpiece to protect it and avoid damage/loss. Slips into a briefcase and easily retrieved without even looking (reach & grab quickly).

Voice quality issues with background noise have always been an issue when we spoke over the phone. And now when she talks to me when she drives, I literally can't tell if she is at home or driving. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tech but terrible fitI used this device walking next to a busy street and the only noise that wasn't cancelled out was a motorcycle...cars, trucks, buses--nothing. However, the fit was terrible, the loop over the ear was too close to the earbud. This cause it not to fit securely in the ear and also to move around while walking causing the boom to bump against my cheek (and the person on the other end of the line could hear this).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for buy moms!I love the new Voyager! After using the Voyager Legend for the last few years, I like how they have enhanced the product. The number one function for me is the sound quality, whether you are in a crowded theme park or walking the dog on a windy day, the noise canceling is wonderful. My callers can hear me clearly even if there is a lot of noise. When in these noisy conditions it used to be hard for me to hear clearly, but the volume now seems to be louder. The only function I do not like is where you adjust the volume, it is now on the top of the Voyager. When you wear a baseball cap, it can be more challenging to adjust. The product is also comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Overall, I feel they have done an excellent job with the product. Thank you Plantronics!

I called the company and they replaced it with a new one and 4 months later the same thing happened along with split at the curve that goes around the ear. I think a wire would be better to prevent the rubber from streching out. Dont. I gave 2 stars because it doesnt last long.

Starting from a first day...1. bluetooth is droping, and i need to reconnect it2. the inner voice of headset is not allways working3. When two devices connected - the sound is VERY bad and no one can understand mee tooWhile tryin to solve problems i have done:1. all the firmare updates2. reseting device3. reseting connection4. Replaced my iPhone 6+ to Samsung Galaxy s8+none of this solved my problems.I am really dissapointed, because here in Latvia, i paid 147 EUR for this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great BT earpiece for home office!I recently started working remotely from home and don’t have a landline to use as my primary phone. As a result, I use my iPhone 8 and needed a good earpiece solution that would allow me to keep my hands free so I could multi-task. I read the reviews and decided to buy the Plantronics 5200 earpiece. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and am still learning the ins and outs. However, I have found that it does what I need for it to do. It connected easily with my iPhone and I’m able to make and answer calls easily. The sound is clear and I’ve had no problems with dropped Bluetooth signal. With a full charge, I’m good for around 6.5 hours of use. Since I use it primarily for my home office, I have not used it outside in more noisy environments. As a result, I cant speak to the noise cancellation, etc. but I certainly intend to try it out soon. For convenience, I also bought the companion charging case which has worked fine and allowed me to be mobile and always charged for use. Overall, a solid product that is not perfect but it does exactly what it is supposed to do and what I need it to do.

Legend gave me 7.5 hours of talk time whereas the 5200 gives me 6.5 hours. 5200 is slightly heavier but not a deal breaker. Overall you can't go wrong with either. Plantronics just makes great products. Period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Randomly Keeps DisconectingWe have bought 3xPlantronics 5200 Voyager and all of them keeps disconnecting randomly from smartphones. We have tried it with many phones , Huawei , samsung and so on. We have even updated the fiirmware and that make it worst. Imagine we are driving all day and when important call is coming and you have to answer it disconnects and you have to pick it up. One of our employees already through it out of the car window because he got a police ticket of 85 Euro... now we are in the process to replace them.

After determining the part number, with assistance from a support person, I purchased a new ear tip, and am waiting for delivery (I just ordered it today). I have been very pleased with the headset. A small rubber "spacer" on the ear tip broke, which made the ear tip fall out of the headset. I am "making do" with the broken ear tip, but must pay close attention to it, to make sure it doesn't fall out of the headset. A look at the design might be in order. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The size is different between 5200 and Legend.I bought the 5200 days ago to be the replacement of my Legend which has been used for more than 5 years. Everything is great, including calling on Siri with the red button. But one thing has to be mentioned that the length to the earbud of 5200 is a little bit shorter than that of Legend while the outline of both devices is the same. It seems the original Legend is more fit for my ear. I don't know why it is changed on the new model. I will give full stars if it kept the same size. Anyway, I still highly recommend this headset, but you may need to have a try before choosing either of them.

Recently I started having people say I sounded like a life long smoker when on the headset. My first assumption was the headset had gone bad so I bought another one but still having issues. This model should be pulled from the market and have more testing done. It will shut off and I can't get it to turn on for at least ten minutes at a time. This happens numerous times a day. It will also disconnect while the phone is sitting next to it. Had this been my first Plantronics I would never have bought another one.

My commute is lengthy, and I have been looking for a way to take conference calls while moving along at 18-20 mph, without being washed out by wind noise. This headset actually does the trick. I couldn't believe it during my first call, and had to keep asking the other parties, "You can really hear me?" Loud and clear. I was skeptical, but the wind cancelling tech actually works, and well. My one suggestion would be to improve the ergonomics of the ear canal interface. It could be a bit more snug and create a better seal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensors are great featureliked the sensor feature in comparison to the 3200, his one was doing better detecting if it's on the ear or not and routing the call properly accordingly, but still liked better the 3200 due to it's slim design, would suggest plantronics upgrade both of'm to support it should alert when call ends otherwise I found myself talking to the wall (Vs sennheiser (Brand) "presence" (model) which does alert you on that, but still I would opt for these since they are are much more clear for the other party listening to you), good deal for the buck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't bother buying this!! Stick with the Legend!I bought the Best Buy version and was sadly disappointed! Sound was tinny and noise canceling was non existent. In fact, whomever I called complained of my background noise. The curvature wasn't as comfortable as the Legend which I returned to. When a call came in the voice control "Answer" didn't work. My current Legend's finish is peeling and I thought to step up but this is clearly a few steps down!!

My cell phone is an HTC Thunderbolt, somewhat dated but it's what I use. Initially when I got the 5220 and paired it, the volume and output seemed to be okay. However, after a few months, whenever I use the 5220, people say it sounds like I am talking in the wind and the incoming call voice goes from garbled to intermittent. I was hoping to find a solution to the poor quality transmission and reception before it goes in the trash.

All opinions listed in this review are my own.Well, imagine my excitement when I heard that Plantronics came out with a new Bluetooth. I had my Plantronics Voyager Legend for a while, and I was ready for a change. When I first took my Voyager 5200 Series out of the package, I noticed that it is much more sleek than the Legend. I use my Bluetooth earpieces for hours on end, so I was interested in seeing how it would fit. As soon as I put it on, I noticed that it felt lighter and much more comfortable than my Legend. The sound quality is very good.One thing that tripped me up was that the mute button is now on top of the mic stick as opposed to the bottom. While I thought that this would bother me at first, I disproved this theory for myself. It's a much easier and functional design now.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the Voyager 5200 Series earpiece. I already have one down on my Christmas list for someone!

But must inform you that the rubber strip on the edge closest to the ear has come away from the body of the unit, it seems the curved rubber has changed shape and will not stay in the grove that is ment to hold it into it's shape. Other than this it has been a perfect addition to my safe driving.

It also seamless will switch between the headset and your phone by just removing the headset or putting it on. This is a great feature, for those time you accidentally answer the phone without the headset. Headset clarity is good and most people don't know you are using a headset, even outside.

One MAJOR drawback, otherwise it would of gotten 5 stars: When a call ends or you click to end a call, there is no beep or alert to tell you the call has ended. You don't know if the person is on the phone and is hearing things they are not supposed to hear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset, what happened to battery life?I have been using the Voyager line of headsets for years. I actually don't like talking on my phone without it. I was excited when I saw the 5200 used mini USB for charging as it was one less thing to worry about since so many other electronics use mini USB as well. The 5200 is excellent (just as previous Voyager models) with one major exception: The battery life is significantly worse than previous ones. If I get 6 hours total, standby and some talk, per charge I am lucky. With any noticeable amount of talk time, the headset will be drained in 2-3 hours. The Voyager Legend I replaced would last me days sometimes. I am not sure if I just received a bad unit or the new model/charging style have made things change. It is a significant let down after previous Voyagers would go days on standby.

I work remotely and I spend the majority of my day on conference calls. In the past, I had to stress over background noise, dogs barking, etc. The noise cancelling feature has proven to be priceless. I have been told by callers that the sound is crystal clear. I especially like the voice feature. This product is so comfortable on my ear that I often forget I have it on. My husband gets 5 stars for this gift!

Recent macbook pro does comes with USB C port and unable to connect to it. Request to enable the bluetooth to laptop and macbook.

I work in loud environments and the legend has just been superior in performance to other brands thati have tried. The fit was great and i could wear all day , so much so that I have forgotten several times to remove which TSA did not like. The feature where you can remove and it would revert back to phone was awesome. although this feature over time has problems and can be frustrating. this is typically after a year and I would just buy another legend. Hoped that the 5200 series would keep all the good of the legend and improve this feature and wanted desperately to like and keep , but ultimately had to return as the fit is smaller around my ear (not the earbud) and is to uncomfortable..

I drive for two different company's and they both send me pick ups and delivery information at different times. With this device I can get the verbal information from both through media.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Not Too GoodAfter a little over a week of heavy use this is not as good a the Voyager Pro it replaces. The sound quality is great for the user. Although a little more volume (louder) would be helpful sometimes in noisy environments (advertised as it's specialty). I've had several complaints from the person on the other end saying my voice faded out or broke up. The causes turned out to be wind and my crossing my arms across my chest. With mild wind the mics seem mute my voice perhaps to attenuate wind noise. The hearers on the other end report my voice wavers in volume. When sitting in a quiet room with not noise or other electronic my voice breaks up when I cross my arm across my chest. The was tested and confirmed several times. it appears changes to body position affect the transmission. The phone was 18" out in front of me on a table. Strange. So the jury is out for me. These are not complaints I had from others with the Voyager Pro. In fact, I never had complaints about that device. I was hoping this would be even better. Not so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Started out great, failed and disappointedWorked great for 2 months, after which point the noise cancellation 'feature' started cancelling out my voice. Resets and reboots helped once, the issue returned after a week. Nothing helped after that. The website is completely useless when it comes to support. No troubleshooting tips and reset procedures, software (PLT hub) is complete garbage and disconnects my gear when pairing the 5200. Battery life is decent and the charging case is a godsend on business trips. The volume is just right but is insufficient in a datacenter or a venue. Pairing is effortless and reliable. If not for the issues and the useless support pages it would be a very impressive device. Back to the Issue: EASY solution could be the ability for the power user (at his own risk) to rollback firmware, it seems that there is an option for that in the desktop app yet without access to the firmware versions its useless. More details on the issue: FW version 246 is what broke the headset, synopsis: Can hear and record calls, the mic works in recording apps but not calls (Voip/VoLTE/3G).I will follow up if fixed.

The length of the vertical piece from the top of the ear to the ear opening has been shortened causing it to put pressure on the upper side of my ear opening, no matter which ear tip I used. Regretfully, it's being returned to the store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny!!!I finally got tired of replacing the inexpensive bluetooths that most of us buy and have to replace after a few months. I really weighed on continuing that trend or putting a little more money into a superior product. Today marks day one using the Voyager 5200 and I've got to say that so far i DO NOT regret buying this. While driving my semi truck with the windows down, no one on the receivers end could tell I was driving a semi or that the windows were down. They could hear me perfectly as if i was in a quiet room. That alone should be enough to let you know how superior this product is. The rubber piece that goes into your ear will take me some time to get use to since i'm use to a more exact fit but it has plenty of volume to compensate for that. That's a very small price to pay for the superior sound/noise cancelling quality. I have small ears and it stays in place. Stop thinking about it and just buy it. You won't be sorry!

This one I've had concerns and problems with almost from the start in July. The primary issue had been people have trouble hearing me periodically. The worse part about that is I have no idea they're having trouble hearing me and I use this a great deal for business. My old Voyager generally seemed to be a better devise.

The ear pieces are an afterthought. They do not block out any ambient noise nor provide a good fit regardless of the size. The other bells and whistles, very nice.

First one stop taking a charge, second one stopped having clear sound to caller, third one won't stay connected to the same blutooth device switching between car, headset, speaker and mic for no apparent reason. Sometimes even when the car is turned off (2018 BMW M750Li). BUT, I'm buying another because for about a year it will work great.

The sound quality on my end is very good, and according to people on the other end the microphone is even better! I once mowed the grass without the person on the other end picking up the sound of the mower.However, I find the volume of the voice announcements way too loud. Even when turned down to minimum the announcements sting in my ear. A firmware upgrade should address this.

Possibly why volume not sufficient.Very comfortable and great that you can switch ears so easily.App works great, I cannot use voice command due to high volume surroundings (Answers automatically when not wanted). Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sad that I cannot connect to PC BluetoothI purchased this after the success I had with my last plantronics headset. The BT-300 adapter I had is awful. Plantronics needs to move away from this and stop charging for an adapter to attach a headset to the PC. Sound is ok, but not worth the price when you add in the adapter to switch from PC to phone.

This is unacceptable. I will be shopping for other options next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ok but not all greatvery short battery life, odd charging connection does not use a mini port but some kind of magnetic gizmo. when fully charged says 7 hours talk time then very quickly reverts to 3 hours talk time then next time turned on says recharge. Also changes features when let run right down then recharge, i.e. voice responses are different or not there each time turned on. Clarity is very good and when voice inputting recognition of numbers is good, not so much names.

Model Voyager 5200 the volume is not high enough even when turned all the way up in noisy environments (also my hearing is fine). The sound also seems to fade in an out a little. I´m hearing also clicks on calls. Never have had problems with volume with the previous models. When using this in the office I can hear all well, but for example driving I have to always turn volume as high as possible and even then it is not enough.Connection to phone is excellent and other functions works as well ok. Person in the other end hears me well, no complains rcvd fm anyone.I rcvd one of the first sample models in Finland, so hoping this hearing problem is possible to fix with the firmwire update.For now I have to go and buy again Plantrocins Legend. Unfortunately, the "hub" (a great new feature) doesn't have the update yet, so the issues may be a result. Maybe when all parts of the shop get on board it will be everything I hoped it would be.....

Put it in a jar of rice to dry and tucked that jar into obscurity.Got a 5220 a few days later. I liked the seamless multi-point pairing process. Also came to love the voice-answer feature ("incoming call / answer or ignore"), which worked really well for a long time**.After relying heavily on the 5220, it fell out of my driver door and onto a parking spot. Of course I didn't realize this.[[I was in the midst of a remodel and tucked the headset into the chest pocket of my bibs before I went into a store. The seat belt caught the headset during egress.]]Went back to the same parking spot and found the headset! In little pieces. The 5220 was SMASHED from being driven over.Got a new 5220 the next day. Didn't have to pair again - phone and truck just recognized it. That's a HUGE security problem.Been using the (2nd) 5220 for almost a year with a clamshell style Motorola (yes, my work mobile is ancient) and my own HTC 10.Some recent (5220) problems arose...-voice-answer feature didn't always work (had to yell 'answer' - that's subtle)-handsets indicated they were connected to the 5220 yet headset was dead-no voice prompts after powering-upSecond 5220 became unreliable.Plantronics return process has been easy (but not free - you will pay for shipping). In summary:Disappointed my second 5220 started having problems within a year. Amazed that the first 5220 (the one that got run over) still works. It's in pieces and will never fit in your ear - but it still works!Happy that the original 5200 works great (the one that took a swim) because that's what I'm using for a headset.Get a good hands-free solution. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!I use this headset daily. It's more comfortable than it's predecessors (I've got the Voyager Edge, Legend et al). The range with the BT600 is phenomenal, and the charging stand/case gets tons of looks when I'm using it at a customers site. I'm in a small home office with some amount of background noise, as well as an air conditioner running. I've never once had anyone complain of noise, even if I happen to be standing right in the air flow.

The volume is not high enough even when turned all the way up in moderately noisy environments (my hearing is fine). the sound also seems to fade in an out a little. I am hearing clicks on calls and when playing voicemail. I want to like this but it doesn't serve the basic functions. I suspect that it is a software issue dealing with all the sensors. If plantronics can fix it, then great, if not, it is back to my old pro.

One lasted 11 months, the other over 2 months - Both broke - they replaced the first but after second date I was a few weeks late..... Now I have nothing. Good wind protection.I bought my first Voyager 5200 a few weeks ago and nobody could understand what I was saying. I bought a second one from Best Buy and the same thing. Horrible. I returned it for a replacement and now I am quite happy. Plantronics is sending a replacement for the second bad one. Plantronics has been a great company to deal with. I've purchased about a dozen product from them over the years and I have nothing bad to say about their service or products.

The sound quality and microphone quality is far worse than the Voyager Pro. The Voyager Pro I have is probably 5 years old and still works far better. This product is not worth the money at all. Had I not thrown away the packaging I would be returning it. So not it is just an expensive backup.

The quality is so clear its almost as if the person is standing right next to you, and importantly I can whisper and I am heard clearly on the other end. This is by far the greatest headset I have had and used for more than 3 full years (until I lost it - very sad day. Did some research to get a different one, but I'm still loving the Voyager 5200, so I'll get another. Btw, I have seen at least 4 people wearing this headset after they questioned me about it.

Same happened to 5200, died after 1 month of warranty expired.( symptom is the other party can’t hear my voice clearly) Now I have 2nd set of 5200. i hope it can last longer. Day to day usage - it’s good bluetooth in noisy / windy environment. no complain. Legend vs 5200= no different in Performance

The noise cancelling is unparallelled, the "answer/ ignore" and Caller ID are wonderful, and I have absolutely no problem with Siri. I definitely need to invest in the charging box, next.

Once thing I enjoy is that when I am driving the product does announce "incoming call, answer or ignore" You will have to speak up a bit load to get it to do either command. Just about a week ago the ear piece did came off which the plastic ring between the device and ear piece broke off. Other than that it is a pretty good Bluetooth that I have owned so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Calls aytime anywhere!I bought this to replace my Legend as I had not bought the older charging case.Having the desk stand was super and inside the charging case (must have with the 5220 I could not lose it and stay sleep and professional. It houses the BT600 adaptor which is great for skype calls and I use for video trailors. With my Iphone 7 Class 1 bluetooth is realised if older phones or samsung go for legend with Class 2 bluetooth.

It was fine at first but then the headset wouldn’t charge to high or full charge it would only charge to 6 hours then I had to reset the voice command more then 5 times a day. They replace the unit that unit was worse they replaced a second time that unit seemed good but the battery started not taking full charge. I am waiting for Plantronics to replace agin but haven’t heard anything about them sending a replacement. I’m sorry I bought this unit. I have the voyager legend and I love it. Plantronics last agent gave me a run around and was difficult to talk with. I am not happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great device...first 2-3 months..first months I was impressed, noise canceling could cancel almost every noise, when I was in the kitchen calling my family they could not notice anything or at the street with car noise orin the train with people talking arround me. Suddenly one day during cooking at the kitchen my parents started complaining about the noises that before werent there and noticed all what I was doing, so noise cancelling stopped doing its job properly. mobile is the same, configuration is the same, and tried already to unpair/pair de device with no further effects. my question: why did this happen suddenly ? is it a common thing with this device? have yop planned any update / solution for this?if not, I dont understand why spending such money on this device... with the legend everything worked great throughout years!thanks in advanceregardsJos¡e

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality when it works - critical bug?I bought this from Best Buy about a month ago and for the most part, it works as advertised, but I have issues with the silicon earpiece fitting and more critically, the connection reliability.The earpiece is generally loud enough in a relatively quiet environment, but it does not fully close the ear canal. I could wedge the the silicon piece into the ear canal to close it but the microphone then is misaligned and doesn't work properly. It sticks out away from my face and the call recipients complain that they can't hear me that well. It also becomes uncomfortable to wear after a short time. I wish the earpiece could be more like a silicon earbud type that closes the canal better to isolate the sound coming from the device. As it is, I kinda wear it so the silicon earpiece just rests outside the canal. It's comfortable enough when I wear it like this, and I when turn the volume up all the way, and I can hear well enough in a relatively quiet environment. But in a loud ambient noise setting, I have to resort to the wedge in method I described to hear clearly. I've tried all three different sizes of earpieces. Note, I do not have unusually shaped or sized ears.The main issue I have with this device is that the device drops connection to the phone inexplicably during a conversation. When it drops, it's not a distance issue as my phone is typically sitting on my desk next to me or in my pocket. This happens often enough (2 out of 5 five calls?) that it's not coincidence. Note that this is my second device (same model) from Best Buy as I returned the first to BB within my 14 day return window because of the same issue. Thus, it's not likely to be a defect for both units. Note also that when it drops connection, the call is ongoing and I have to take the device out of my ear and put it back in to reconnect. I've tried turning off the wear sensor function but the problem still persists. My head is typically stationary when the drops happen...i.e. I'm not shaking my head or moving my body in any extraordinary matter. I'm typically sitting down or standing still. Furthermore, it drops when I or the other caller is speaking without any warning that the device disconnects, so I could be talking for a few minutes then only realize that I've lost the connection when the other caller doesn't respond. It then have to apologize and repeat everything I just said. THIS IS NOT GOOD ON BUSINESS CALLS!!!!.. I'm on the latest firmware (v.38).I want to love this device as I really like the feature set when it works. Add the fact that I paid close to $200 for it and the charging cradle. I really shouldn't have to deal with this level of unreliability after shelling out so much. I don't typically write reviews, but considering the investment I made in this device, Plantronics needs to address this... I've done enough troubleshooting and tried using it long enough to rule out flukes or user error at this point. Hopefully, a firmware update can at least address the disconnect issue, especially considering I'm outside my return window at this point.

I tried a headset before and exchanged it for this one. It is very comfortable and does not become dislodged by my hair or glasses. I just went back to Best Buy and purchased the portable charger. I am so pleased with these products. Thanks for making charging so easy and so compact and the headset so comfortable. This was my birthday present to myself.

The sound quality coming from the ear piece is very good and I appreciate the noise cancellation qualities that make it easier to hear my conference calls in a very noisy workplace (we have open seating. I have noticed though that the ear piece has difficulty recognizing the devices automatically when I have more than 2 devices paired. I paired it with my personal cell phone, my work cell phone, and laptop. When all 3 devices are paired, it doesn't always detect all of the devices upon turning it on. I have found that when I just have 2 devices paired, it picks up the devices immediately. Another area for improvement is the sound quality picked up by the mic. I have heard from others on the conference calls that the sound comes through a little muffled, and not crystal clear.

I bought a small USB-C to USB adapter for my MacBook Pro and the adapter also fits in the battery case. Also works great with my iPhone X. I now only use my AirPods for listening to music or watching videos. The battery on this new Voyager is far superior to the AirPods for UC.

Normally I've been using the voyager pro for several years, but the attraction of more noise and wind masking interested me as I am a truck driver. Unfortunately I had more problems with reception, and people telling me I was hard to hear until I went out of the wind, and they were harder to hear as well, even when I had it turned all the way up. Sorry, the voyager pro I've been using is much better. Love the new charging system though.

The only real problem that I have, is sometimes I have to repair it to my phone every now and then. I hope when they come out with the new version of this headset, they stick to this design, because it's their best one yet!!

My caller could not tell where I was when speaking because there was NO background noise. The mute button on the boom is great, no going to the phone to mute. Still getting used to the speaking to answer or ignore, but that'll come. Also, used this for texting, it actually spelled everything correctly and made sense, something I've been having trouble with. Super easy setup-and first time use was good. Oh and it is very stable on your ear. My only wish is that it was easier to put on and off, but I think that's just a matter of getting used to it. Love the case / charger that is sold separately. I have lost headsets in the past because it wasn't secure in my purse when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Voice quality is better than actual phoneI picked this up for hands free talking while walking on the side of the road, or when I need both hands free at work. Call quality, incoming and outgoing is fantastic both ways, people on the other end tell me it's better without me having to ask. Battery life is good enough you forget how to charge it and can easily go a week if you're not a heavy user. Love it, will likely buy a second for the wife so she stops stealing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I was expectingI have been a Plantronics user for as long as I can remember - I utilize their products across my desktop work phone, my cordless home phone, and my cell phone. The Voyager series of headsets have been a big part of my life and have been generally pleased. In reviewing these specs i thought this would be a worthy upgrade from my Voyager HD +. Boy, has it been a dissappointment. The call quality is great, the noise cancelling works great, but the headset itself is extremely buggy. It doesn't pick up calls when the headset is on my ear, the mute button works 50% of the time, etc. These are basic functions that are deal breakers. I did the firmware upgrade and finally called Plantronics to get a warranty replacement, but even that has been a hassle - they said they would send a replacement and a return label and after a week - nothing. I have spent at least $1000 on Plantronics and am now on a mission to find a better product.

I have owned a number of Bluetooth headsets that claim to block out the wind noise when you are outside. I have checked with a number of callers that I have talked to while being outside in some pretty good winds. All have stated that they do not hear the wind blowing in the microphone.

The only problem I have I have been told about is my voice is loud on the other side. I have tried to speek softly but some say it's still loud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features, Fits great!I received my Voyager 5200 a couple days ago, so far I love it. The call quality is awesome and the noise cancellation is unbelievable! I can ride with the windows down in my car and nobody can tell that they are down. The features are great, I love how the headset will call out the persons name then ask you if you want to answer or ignore and you just tell it what to do. I do wish the earbuds were a little more formed for your ear, and you ear will get a little tender getting used to the earpiece but the good by far out way the bad. I also purchased the charge case to go along with the headset just to protect it and keep it charged. the battery life is very good, I listen to a lot of podcasts and music and you get a steady 7hrs out of it. the charge case hold 2 full charges for back up so you can talk all day and night if you want. By far one of the best headsets I have ever owned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Solid!Received my 5200 and connected immediated to my BlackBerry PRIV. At first glance, it looks gorgeous and premium. The instructions were very easy to read, and connecting it to my smartphone was a breeze. I quickly connected to a call I was currently on and the sound was pretty good. I turned the volume up to the max just to see how loud it can get, and it is pretty loud. I made my environment noisy by turning up the TV and turning on some fans including the bathroom vent fan while talking on the phone and the person on the other end did not mention anything about how noisy it was. So I guess the noise cancelation worked like a charm. I've used the Plantronics 5200 for about 8 hours straight. As far as comfort in the ear, I had to change the ear pilow (that's what I call it) which was easy to change out, and it's comfortable and stress free. Now, the bad part is that there is a hissing sound coming through the connection. It is noticeable, but I hope it's fixed with a firmware update. And not being biased, it may also be the quality of the Bluetooth connection on my smartphone. It's not bad to where you will have a horrible experience, but again it's noticeable. Since I have an Android powered BlackBerry PRIV, I activated Google Now using the red button on the Voyager 5200 and it works flawlessly as long as your surroundings aren't noisy. To use it just push the red button for 2 seconds and release it. When you receive a call, the Voyager 5200 says the persons name that is calling, which is cool. And the voice will asked you if you want to answer or reject. It picks up your voice very well. The smart sensors are awesome. I took the Voyager 5200 off while still being connected to Bluetooth and I had a call and it answered the call by me putting on the Voyager 5200 on my ear. I also tried it by being on a call on my smartphone and transferring the call to the Voyager 5200 by just putting it on my ear which worked well. It works well vice versa. If you are talking on the Voyager 5200 and you need to charge it of put it down, when you take it off your ear, it will automatically transfer the call to your handset. You can edit setting by downloading the Plantronics Hub app from your app store which is convenient since most of us do majority things on our smartphones. Speech text works great if you are one who talks to text. It makes it even more convenient and safer using the Plantronics Voyager 5200. Day 2Working even better. A must have device!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as good as Voyager LegendI drive a UPS truck and started out with Voyager Legend, which is a great headset. I thought I was upgrading when I purchased the 5200. However, the quality was isn't there. The noise reduction feature is worse. People on the other end of my call couldn't hear me as I was driving. Also, the durability of it not good. It will break in half. Don't waste your money on the 5200. I highly recommend the Legend.

But when I heard about this headset with improved noise cancellation and audio quality, I went and bought it right away. Within a couple of calls, I realized that this headset has lot of the interference and static in the calls. My Legend never had such issues! Even the Audio quality is not very impressive. Now I am back to my Legend. Although I still have the 5220, I use it rarely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Wind-cancelling is fantastic!I switched back & forth between my older Voyager Legend and Voyager 5200 while walking outside on a fairly windy day. The person that I was talking to noted that they could hear only a little bit of wind on the Voyager and NO wind on the 5200. The noise cancellation of background noises (people talking etc) was very good and equal for both. The sound quality is definitely better on the 5200 (more "treble", easier to hear) than the Legend.Good Job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset!This is a reliable headset and has all the important features necessary for business & casual users. Easy pairing. Reliable call handling. Excellent noise reduction. Decent battery life. (NOTE: get the charging case! It’s worth every penny and will save the day!) Overall, I’m very pleased with the 5200. The only reason I docked a star is because while wearing the unit, it’s hard to wear any type of glasses. Sunglasses or eyeglasses, thin or thick frame. All are hard to put on, keep straight & wear for long periods, with this unit. Because of the units thicker behind-the-ear earpiece, the glasses arm tend to sit on top of it, making the them sit crooked on your face. If I tuck the glasses arm behind the unit earpiece (against my head), after about an hour two, it starts hurting my head and making my ear sore. Also, because of the glasses situation, and fiddling with the fit throughout the day, the unit tends to fall out of my ear more often. If you don’t wear glasses, then by all means, this is the headset to buy! But if you do, I recommend you consider another style. I had a great comfort & fit with the 3200, forgot that I was even wearing it! But it was less reliable on noise reduc & connectivity.

It is faster at powering on, synching with phones, and handling voice calls in ambient noise. This is a solid product and worthy of an upgrade purchase.

A downside, the Jabra was so sensitive it picked up the fan on another computer the side of the room when I ran remote meetings... I decided to go all out and pay this kind of money for it. I'm glad I did. I swap between either 2 phones or a phone and laptop and it does this seamlessly when I haven't got it on and then my phone rings, I just pick up the headset, turn it on, and by the time it's on my ear, its working. I was on a ferry to a clients office, speaking to my wife on it. She asked if I was in the office - I wasn't. I was on a windy noisy ferry (inside). It also helps reduce noise when someone else is on the phone in the office. This is the second headset I got. It is a warranty replacement. The first was connecting and disconnecting from my Bluetooth sporadically. I called, complained, filled out a warranty form and they sent out a new one. Really happy and trying to get all I talk to on the phone to buy one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Painful on ear.First let me state that I love Plantronics products. I use 2-3 of there products daily "all day" and have for the last 10-15 years. The Voyager 5200 in my opinion is a complete fail for me. I have tried to like this headset over the last 11-12 months with no luck. It is unbearable to wear. It causes extreme pain to wear. Which is bizarre because I had both versions of the other Voyager before this. So I thought okay maybe it just needs broken in... 2 Weeks later same extreme pain (also trying every ear gel and the ones from my Voyager.) Same pain... The largest one makes it bearable but the catch there is I don't have giant ears so it makes the auto sensor sit away from my face. So I had to turn that off in settings. The call quality is less then that of my Voyager and my Voyager Edge from the feedback I get from my clients and family. Not enough to really complain. It's not all bad. I love that you can upgrade the software from the phone, Turn on and off features, the buttons are in better places, and the addition of micro usb a perfect complement to the Voyager line. I love this feature on my Voyager Edge. So why the harsh one star? Two reasons. I can't wear it and when I chatted customer service to see if I could get it exchanged with another model they told me that is not possible. I explained how long I have been a customer. The ironic thing is I provide support for Plantronics products as well as many others. I do believe they have the best products. But how can I in good faith not disclose they may have a customer service issue. What I would say in closing is stay within your return policy where ever you buy this headset or get the extra warranty. If you were hospitalized like I was you will have to deal with Plantronics customer service or Tech Support which is lacking to put it politely. I hopes this helps anyone avoid the headache (or earache) I am going through.

What an amazing difference in sound quality! The button configuration and functions are slightly different and are taking so getting used to but overall I love this headset.

But I am seriously disappointed with the battery life. My old models lasted twice as long it seems. Steep price tag for such lousy battery life. The magnetic charge panel is not compatible with the old charging case. Sadly.

After 13 months, it sometimes would not connect. Now it it totally dead. Plantonics support was fabulous at trying to help me get it to work, but nothing! It is dead! Unit is in perfect condition! Not a scratch on it as I always carried it in the case when it was not in use. Now I am told that the best they can do is to have me pay $60 and they will send me a refurbished unit. I am so disappointed. Cannot believe that this unit that cost $119 on sale is now ready for the trash.

I believe it is because of the noise cancelling. I don't understand the added red button to make calls and activate Google Voice? On the Legend, the make call, & hangup were the same button.Now, I have to press the red button, further up on the mic boom, and hold it for a while longer than the Legend to make a call. Then get used to pressing the button in the original location to hangup. For me there is no change benefit.I'm switching to the 5200 series from the Legend but only because I've already bought it and don't want to take it back to Best Buy.

The 5200 series needs a firmware update or I would recommend you pass on this particular model. It drops out frequently and the voice quality is actually worse the the Voyager Legend. I don't use any other bluetooth device with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 so it isn't competing with any other devices.When will they actually make an improvement? I'm not sure but I hope it's soon.

Had Voyager Legend for 2+ years prior to this, so to compare:1. 5200 has extended range, which is good because I pace (a lot) during client calls and many times have gone beyond 33 feet from my phone. 50 ft is no problem. 2. Both seem really good at noise cancellation, so I can't say which one is better. No complaints from clients, and I ask frequently. Have a 200+lb St Bernard as a neighbor who is constantly barking *maybe* 30 ft away, and no one has ever heard him on the other end of the line. 3. Though talk time is supposed to be 7 hours for the 5200, I've only ever gotten 6, even if charging overnight (forgot I left it plugged in a couple times.) 4. Like someone else, I have to holler, "ANSWER" to get it to do that. Most often, I just press the button or leave it near the phone to auto-answer when I put it on. 5. The 5200 is not AS comfortable as the Legend, but after awhile, it's not really that noticeable. To the point now that I almost can't remember the difference - that was more in the first 2 weeks. I haven't figured out all the other cool-tech stuff yet because I'm old-school for the most part and use my phone primarily as a phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picks up my waive greatI bough this 8 months ago and then i lost it and presented directly from plantronics my second time, love all the features but on thing I wish was better were the ear gel tips I've tried all of them and haven't found one that fits snug in my ear even the biggest one is. It that snug in my ear feel like I'm going to loose it or fall out my ear. I wish they had a ear gels like the Jawbone did with the molded style that kinda fit more snug in your ear

The noise canceling is superb according to the people at the other end of the call. I will continue to buy the Voyager series as long as I can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset, Issues though (All 5 headsets)I've gone through 5 of these (Headsets and chargers in about 5 years. I use mine for 8 hours a day, after a few months the battery doesn't like to charge, its almost like the connection on the charging connection get lazy. Really bad when I wake up for a conference call to hear "Recharge headset" and have to hold the phone until its charged. I've recommended this headset to 3 other co-workers who have all had the same issue.I will say this, its VERY comfortable and I often forget 'Im wearing it. Its durable, I've washed one of them on accident and it still worked, sat on them and my 3 year old got ahold of one. (All post charging issues).I will keep buying them as I cant find one better.

The unit works as designed,, however, like one other review stated the 5200 is uncomfortable... I tried it for a week,, it does not fit like the Legend... I am finding I am a minimalist and much rather prefer the Edge.. and I am using my old Legend,, I returned the 5200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery IssuesMy Voyager Legend failed while under warranty. Instead of being replaced with another Legend, I received a Voyager 5200. I returned replacement twice due to battery issues. The battery would only charge to about 6 hrs. and then drop quickly when used. The third replacement isn't much better. It will charge to 90% ("High" and then quickly drop to 6 hrs and continue to drop quickly. After 3 tries I give up!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor qualityI bought my voyager 5200 on march 2,2017, it stop working by march 10. Since then I have had a difficult time with plantronix on trying to get it replaced. The box shows a manufacturer date of December 2016, but the ear piece code code shows a date of September 2016.. I would never buy plantronix again.

I've used a ton of bluetooth's in my life, and this is by far as good as any of the other one's I've used if not better. My whole family used the Plantronics Voyager line up (from several years old to the 5200 series and, if there's something better out there, I haven't found it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Callers can barely hear meI bought this awhile ago for work and at the time I had a Oneplus 3 and everytime I used it to send or receive a call people on the other end could barely hear me making it useless so it's been sitting in my desk for awhile. I recently started using an LG G6 and was excited because I thought this would surely fix the problem and I would be able to use the headset again! Nope, same issue, if they hear me it's barely and sounds like I'm in a tunnel. I've tried turning off and on noise cancellation and nothing seems to work.

This get old in a hurry. I have owned several Legends and other Plantronics bluetooths for years. I think i have 22 in a drawer at home. But this one has bugs in it. cant always here navigation, for some reason volume goes down and suddenly pops back up. This is all using IPHONE 6S. I am hoping for a firm ware update soon. Others in my office have the same complaints on it. I love Plantronics but this one missed the target.

However, this product has done away with the problematic fabric ear piece cover. That's a plus. Yet this product is not as comfortable to wear as the Legend. I'm constantly readjusting it for a better more comfy fit. In addition the aural prompts are not soothing as the aural prompts on the Legend. And it costs more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wind noise reduction of anyI have had the 5200 for about 4 months now and it is the best bar none for wind noise reduction. I can carry on a conversation while riding a bike at 20 mph. At 25 it starts to get a bit noisy on the far end. Voice quality is otherwise excellent and predictable. Distance is only good to about 30 feet, but that is probably as much the fault of the phone too. I also recently acquired the Apple AirPods and although they sound good indoors, they are terrible in even a mild breeze. They are on my desk at home and the 5200 is in my pocket. Plantronics has been about wireless technology for a long time, apple is just getting started.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor audio performanceI have used the voyager and basically am close to giving up on it, my old PRO was brilliant but this one causes me endless issues due to the volume that I am broadcasting, I am forever being told by others on the call that they cannot hear me. I thought it was just me but when I read these reviews I see that this is common for many people. I use mine with an iPhone 6S and I have gone back to using a wired headset at home and suffering whilst in the car and completely abandoned it for use via my PC on a softphone. So disappointing as the PRO was great but this should be good as it can be used with multiple devices and seemed on paper to solve a wide range of needs.

A few 1:1 tests later confirmed it was really bad under moderate to low background noise.Had the Legend before it and performed better however it started to drop bluetooth connectivity over and over again in a single call so was looking for a replacement.

It is clear, good sound both ways, and is perfectly comfortable. It works great and is loud and clear for podcasts etc. The one frustration is that it looses connection is I go 15 feet or so from my desk -- which means I have to constantly carry it when I wonder around my house (which was surprisingly not the case with any previous Plantronics models) .

The replaced one still have the same problem. I have reinstalled it on my IPhone X so many time with the same results. I need help

The new location for the volume buttons is more user friendly and not having to use the magnetic charging cable is an improvement as well!

I can even talk on it while ride bicycle down the road at 18 MPH. The last update made it next to perfect. It now responses to voice even better.Be sure to keep your devices updated with latest firmware!!!!If anything were to be improved, it would be the volume. The world is a noisy place. I can always turn it down if its too loud. Maybe in the firmware there could be a volume boost?

Everything you need from making a call to setting directions or sending messages is possible through this hands free. I also referred many to buy this device and they are very happy being your customer. I just love them to an extent that I see it on my ears when i get up in the morning whispering with my wake up alarm in my ears. :)

The voice commands and being able to tell you who is calling are one of the reasons I bought it. It has clear sound and the black and red coloring give it a really cool eye catching look. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I have flat set ears and the over-ear part works fine where other headsets have failed. The weight is so light that after a few minutes of wear you hardly know it is there.Where this headset really sparkles is in its full functionality. Had no problems pairing it with my Android phone or my Windows 10 laptop. The sound quality is very good with ample adjustability in volume range. Even out for a walk it just keeps delivering quality sound with noise suppression. I also found that small things were thought through with this headset. The headset comes with three different ear pieces. Several headsets/headphones I have owned did not come with this option. I even had to return another product because of the lack of alternate ear pieces--it is that important.Overall, the best manufactured and functioning bluetooth headset I have ever used.

People I have talk to says when I had the radio on in the car they can barely hear the radio up loud , It is comfortable .the ability to use it to go to google is a very nice feature .I love it charge up quickly ., pairing is easy and quick . I only get about 50 feet it maybe do to walks in my home The new design seems like it is more durable then before . I bought the charging case and is better then the previous one ,charge fast and feel real durable .. What I don't like they don't give you a wall charger just a charger plug for a computer . The other thing I don't like is you have to repeat sometimes to answer are ignore calls and I talk loud . But overall it is a great improving over the other ones .

This Plantronics has been by far the best one I have ever used. It works well, long battery life, great range and amazing noise cancelling capabilities - the product really works as advertised.

My new one I'm now having problems to where it won't charge unless I move the plug back and forth then the red or blue light will come on, but this headset along with the first one they clam you get 7 hours talk time but after the first charge I've only been getting 6 hours of battery life.

The only issue I have is the interference I get at times ( ghost Static) it is not often and not a show stopper. I would recommend this device to any new user or someone looking to make the leap of a corded headset.

While the person I'm talking to can hear me great I have to strain to hear them in return. It's almost like work to keep up with the conversation. It's great that the people I'm talking to can't hear the truck noise but developers of this need to realize the person driving the truck still has all the cab and road noise surrounding them so that the incoming volume needs to be increased accordingly.

As a Service Technician I'm constantly on the phone. Whether I'm driving or in a noisy environment my customers only hear the sounds of my voice instead of the background noise. Thanks for bring back the micro-USB charging port. I'm a long time Plaintronic user and extremely satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!Okay I know I gave it a one star but it is for a couple reasons. The ear piece doesn’t last long maybe a couple months. The pivot points don’t take long to loosen up. Finally with my iPhone 8 it started to sound like I was in a tunnel on the recieving end. It’s not consistently doing it but sporadic during the course of the call. It does however have crystal clear speaker. The noise and wind does cancel. When it isn’t tunneling me it works great. The main issue being the tunneling could be an issue with connecting with the phone but not sure but other brand of phones it works great

Unfortunately the plastic case has split and the charger has quit. I’ve been using my wife’s Jabra from Verizon. Horrible thing! I really like the new upgraded 5200 Series.

Have owned other Plantronics units that worked much better also most recently had Motorola Elite Sliver which functioned much better as well decided to go back to Plantronics because of availability when my two year old Motorola died. Very disappointed I have to replace this after a couple months it is virtually not usable and will most likely return to Motorola as I use my Bluetooth constantly all day for work. Definitely would not recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from disconnects from galaxy s8I have always been a fan and use plantronics religiously for many years and always was very satisfied, however I originally purchased the 5200 almost 2 years ago, shortly after it began disconnecting and would lock up, couldn't shut it off and back on to reset, it acted like it was dead, and after many minutes would begin working again. I took it back to the store and had it replaced and the new one worked good for a while than began doing the same thing occasionally. I've done all updates and it still does it. Very disappointed as I need something reliable for my work. Store wont replace it again so considering looking for new one elsewhere.

Sound was great but the call button would not work for me to voice dial on a Samsung S7 or on a S6 Active. Tried with two different S7's and two earpieces but the only way I could dial was with the manual dialer. I can't recommend for or against since I couldn't get it to work fully with my phone.

However I am having one really annoying issue which is that the volume control, which used to govern the overall volume for everything, now has separate settings for every app. That means I can have a phone ring that is deafening, a map application that is at average volume, and a phone call that is very faint and quiet all coexisting at the same time. I am forced to put all settings on minimum all the time so as not to risk damaging my ears.

Perfect even.. Well couple months ago people said my voice sounded like I was in a can and had trouble hearing me. First thing I did was call support and they were the greatest. We tried firmware updates and everything else to no avail..Finally I sent it back to Plantronics and before the end of the week I had a replacement in my hand.. These people are the greatest. I've used their equipment in my office before retiring and always was very happy with them. I mean this. This is the very best company with whom I have ever dealt! I hope everyone who reads this especially folks working with Plantronics gets it. A wonderful product, the best support and suburb customer service..WG Boyd.

I already had a warranty exchange once, and the device that was warranted is no longer functional.I just do not understand why these devices do not last past year.

Also Plantronics is not offering any magnetic cords for the 5220. I like the magnetic chargers and had them at home, at work and in my car. I'll find a discontinued Legend for now.

It seems to disconnect itself from my android. The version of the software is up to date but ..... Rated 5 out of 5 by from step backwardsI'm not too impressed, the body is so wide it don't fit as well behide the ear, I use two during the day now I have to carry two different chargers. Fully charged (overnight) sometimes it say 7 hrs available and other time more than not it says 6 hrs.

Purchased another identical because I really liked the feature at worked at the office and automatically connected to my cell when out of the office. The second one broke too. All within 1 year. Very disappointed. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a great upgrade...umcomfortableNice headset, but the new design is uncomfortable. I have had numerous Plantronic headsets and use them daily. I also have the original Legend which I still use. The new shape of the Voyager 5200 is very uncomfortable and I can't wear it as long the Legend because there is a pressure point behind my ear that becomes too uncomfortable to keep using. The Legend is more curved like the natural shape of an ear, the Voyager 5200 comes more straight down behind your ear to cause the pressure. The Legend is my go to and I'm just keeping the Voyager 5200 as a backup due to the discomfort.

Purchased this 5200 Series, Brought it back to Best Buy because it was not allowing me the full 7 Hours, maybe two hours if I was lucky, Plus it would stay charging all weekend long so I would be able to use it starting to work on Monday. Received three short Calls on Monday Morning, then it tells me Battery Low, Charge Headset. Exchanged this one to Same Series 5200. Charged it all Weekend, you could tell that it was Charging. Received first phone call in Morning, after call it said Battery Low, Charge Head Set. it would also accept calls without me telling it to receive the call , and it is not telling me any Contacts , who's calling. Going to have to find a Different more Dependable one.

The industrial design of the Voyager 5200 is beautiful and professional looking despite being big in physical size. The carrying case with portable charger is nice and works great but expensive. The only down side to Voyage 5200 is that it doesn't give the wearer a secure fit feeling especially those who wears glasses (I do). The foam cover that goes over the eartip helps to make the headset feel a little more secure. But the foam covers cost extra to buy. It is a great headset from the stand of point of performance but I just wish Plantronics do something about the ear fitting issue. Perhaps come up with a eartip shape that is similar to what BOSE had for their headset.

They each seem to have one weakness. A few months out of the one year warranty, the sensors start having issues recognizing that the unit is on my ear. I stated with the Legend series, went through three of them. Then I moved up to the 5200 series and now about 165 months in, I'm having the same issue with the sensors. It keeps disconnecting from my Motorola Android Moto Z Force. Don't think its a phone issues because its happened with mulitple phones all Droid though. Tech support response is no warranty, best thing to do is buy a new one.

I read that you're supposed to tap the red button twice. When I've done that all I get is a short buzz sound like its trying to pair. Plus there's NO directions at all other than Plantronics only made a statement in a small paragraph. Also the Legend tells you how many hours of talk time you have left. All the 5200 says, "It's high" as far as talk time. Wow, what does that mean? Would I recommend the 5200 to my friends? If everything works like its advertised, then I would. But this doesn't, and NO, I wouldn't recommend changing from what you have..

This model has 2 versions (currently available) and 2 more versions (same earpiece) coming soon. A combo model with charger (which still uses the magnetic connection) will be out at a later time, but do not wait to get this. It is awesome. Thank you for changing this back.

The sound, quality, and noise cancellation exceed any other bluetooth headset or device (including my car). I have used this headset many dozens of times in the airport while being blasted with flight boarding announcements and crowd noise and not one person on the other end can tell. In fact there have been times I have been afraid the person on the other end couldn't hear me due to the very loud noises around me and the other person ends up asking me to speak quieter! If you are on the go and need to be able to work and take calls anywhere and at anytime this is the only headset that truly delivers. Going on 4 years of being a fan of the 5200!PS - if you get this off Amazon be sure to purchase the $5.00 Square warranty for wear and tear! Well worth the money!

IT'S WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM A CHEAP HEADSET AND THESE ARE NOT CHEAP!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! On the positive side, these are the best for noise suppression especially in loud environments (I drive a dump truck that has a loud fan that comes on as well as other cab noises) unfortunately not sure I can AFFORD to keep justifying the cost replacing ones that stop functioning without a better commitment regarding longevity!

Consistent breakup and poor audio. Plantronics acknowledged they have issues with Apple products but did not tell me if anyone was working on them and could provide info on if/when these would be resolved. Unusable for now.

It is VERY annoying to constantly have to repeat yourself or make adjustments to your body or sound of your voice in order for someone to hear you. My wife and I have purchased a few plantronics bluetooths in the past, I must say I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this purchase.

I been buying Plantronics headsets so that I'm able to talk on the phone clearly. The sensors are always messing up, so if you own one of these and wonder why the call drops or the media sound quits playing the sensors are at fault. This particular model is smaller around the ear and it bothers me after a while. I don't think there's much competition against the Plantronics 5200 as far as size and comfort goes. I've tried quite a few and nothing compares in this particular size.

My first priority was a headset with good sound call quality and second, reliability. I hate starting a WebEx or Skype call fumbling in the first few minutes to get my headset connected and working correctly, Pick it up, or answer the call, it works and people on the other end can hear you well. It works, period. I can normally get through an entire day without recharging, but the battery charge starts to dwindle, I just sit it on my desk in the charging case between calls or use. I only wish it was a bit less conspicuous when I wear it in an airport or open, public location.

When the Watch is on it creates distortion on voyager 5200.You will sound muffled and WILL get complaints from people your talking to. Poor Sound performance. With Iwatch powered off, Voyager 5200 is a great headset, just wish plantronics would allow customer to increase volume maybe in PLT hub Software for loader environments like in a semi.Plantronics support told me I had a blown microphone and must be replaced.Not the case, Plantronics need to fix the headset or call it not compatible with Apple Iwatch series 3.Replaced watch and replaced headset. The Voyager synced up with my MacBook very easily but the audio is unusable. The sound constantly breaks up. On my iPhone 6 Plus the Voyager synced up with no problem at all. Phone calls are clear and at a good level, as long as it is a single caller. If you attempt 3 or more callers for a simple conference call, the Voyager sound constantly breaks up making it useless.

I don't have trouble hearing anyone on the other end, and they don't have trouble hearing me. Great for driving, or anywhere you have to wait in public, like a pharmacy or doctor's office. You can listen to videos or music to your heart's content, and still hear your surroundings. Also great if you have a relative or friend that likes to talk for more than an hour every time they call, while you have things you need to do. I couldn't imagine holding a phone to my ear ever again after using the Voyager 5200. It's also so comfortable and lightweight, I almost forget it's even hanging on my ear! My only complaint would be that I wish the charging case was included for $120, but this thing does have some serious technology packed into it. To me it has become a staple of Plantronics, for whatever you buy from them to be very stylish, and come with a just as unique and stylish case that has a cool way to charge said device.

I was hoping there was something wrong with my unit so I contacted Plantronics support and explained the problem, they responded with:"I see. Now, this headset was primarily designed to be used for high quality call audio. You can also use the headset for any media audio, but the speaker will not be able to produce deep bass sound, the headset will try to limit the output to protect the speaker."Very very disappointing and the issue of the audio going up and down depending on if a song had bass or not is to distracting to make up for literally everything else that makes this product amazing. I am going to return this because of that single reason. I don't understand how my $15 iPhone headphones can play a song perfectly but this awesome headset can't...

The first unit I got was not a Plantronics and although I could hear them the background noise coming through from my side was unbearable for them to hear me. One of my co-workers has a Plantronics head set he uses every day at his desk and suggested I try one. Well I would recommend this unit to everyone. It works great and cancels the background noise. I also would recommend the case, what a great idea. I charge the case when I am using the headset and when I put the headset away the case is charging the unit for me...Very happy .... Thanks John

They are easy to use but I specifically purchased for the noise cancelling ability and I have to say they are failing on that front. Users tell me there is a lot of background noise and that is disappointing. I could have purchased a cheaper Bluetooth and gotten better noise canceling. That said, they pair easily and the hands free answering works pretty well and they are comfortable enough to wear alll day. I use it for work and find the battery life is excellant and it typically stays connected without many incidents. Overall I have to rate it a 3 but if the noise canceling worked better I could rate it a 5. Any suggestions on somehting I can do to prevent the background noise let me know. After 2 years of working with them I am now searching for a new model that might do noise canceling better. For $150+ they are not a cheap piece but I do see a lot of potential. Just get that noise cancelling working.Thanks

I have used it while in a room full of loud music and the person I was talking to could not tell where I was. It truly does eliminate noise. It has a great clear sound. It is comfortable on my ear. It has a small medium and large ear tip for extra comfort. I can wear it on either ear. I enjoy being able to listen to my music through my Bluetooth as well. I like the voice control features, especially while driving. I highly recommend this product to everyone! You will be pleased as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This model does not charge to a full 7 hours.I have owned this model (5200 a few weeks now and find that I am not getting a 7 hour charge even if plugged in overnight, I have used different charging methods. I was also disappointed with this model being designed with a different shape to prevent you from using the magnetic connector and drop in charge case for the previous model, it is clear that plantronics is getting greedy making you buy new charging cases and magnetic cables. The charge cable and USB connector on the headset feels pretty cheap, I wonder if this device was designed with substandard battery, USB jack and cable. The headset appears to discharge much quicker than previous models while in standby mode. I have owned all of the voyager models in the past and I feel that the (5200) model does not hold up to previous standards.

This is my first Bluetooth headset from Plantronics. I have always had issues with fit with the ear bulbs. I would give this unit a 5 if there were better ear bulb options other than just 3 sizes. I know you can't create all the mobility an office headset has to fit but the different types of attachments other than just size would make all the difference in the fit and improved sound quality.

I received the email about the new 5200 yesterday and found it at Best Buy. This thing is more comfortable and sounds just as good, if not better, than the LEGEND. So glad the USB charging port is back too, the magnetic charger did not like me very much. But, it's still there because the charging case (sold separately ) uses this port. It's the LEGEND with tweaked features that we wished it came with in the first place. The charging case is awesome too. It has a nice rubbery finish to avoid fingerprints and it feels really sturdy. It charges this bad boy in 2 different positions. ....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this unit....thanks Plantronics for another well built product !!!!!

Lost the 1st Voyager - no big deal other than the expense because it was old technology, 2nd Voyager was awful,tried Edge - callers couldn't hear me. Purchased the 5200 last October at AT&T, NYC as it was not available in Canada. Initially worked really well - no2 the voice command answer feature only works on the second "answer call" request and I am experiencing many static issues where callers tell me my voice is "breaking up". Though it may be interference from all the technology on my desk but this still occurs when I walk around the office. I did love this in the beginning but this headset now appears to have developed issues and I will be returning. Customer service was really great when I contacted them for troubleshooting

I've used it in some relatively noisy environments and wasn't asked to repeat myself, and used it on a Skype for Business call that got very good reviews (compared to the camera/mic combo. Past Plantronics have not paired easily or consistently with my iPhone, but the 5200 is doing well so far. My last Plantronics would switch for non obvious reason from headset to phone, but this one has worked flawlessly. I was really sorry to see Jawbone go but the 5200 may make me a believer in Plantronics!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not durable. Bad quality.In my opinion the Legend is a better quality. The 5200 stopped working properly as soon as I got it. It started out with 7 hours talk time and within maybe a week or 2 it went down to 6 never to go back to 7, no matter how long I charged it. I never returned it because I figured I could deal with the 6 hrs. (The legend has 7 hrs talk time and remained at 7 the entire time I had it). The 5200 also broke in half. I don't even think I have had it for a full year before it broke. I thought I was upgrading to the 5200 for better quality and performance, but as it turns out absolutely Not! I say stick with the Legend!

In an approximately 900 square foot apartment it would get all choppy as soon as there was a regular wall between me and the the phone.I called plantronics and was assured that if I bought a class 1 bluetooth device (5200) and had a new phone with bluetooth 5.0 I would have 2 to 4 times the range. I upgraded from a Note 4 to a Note 8 so the hardware is their. I bought this 5200. I like it but still has problems with the range. I have to be in the same room for people to not complain that I'm "breaking up". The range didnt improve.

That's exactly why I used to prefer Plantronics' products for the last two decades.However, the lack of opportunity to try on such a delicate product at Best Buy was a little disappointing.As it turned out, the ergonomics of this set doesn't fit my ear well. I believe that the issue of trying on - even for such sophisticated products - must be avail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality in a disposable world.Bought mine a little over a year ago. I spend a lot of time outdoors hiking with my dog. Sweat hasn't been an issue, it's always stayed on my ear and been very comfortable with my big ears. I forget it's on my ear most the time. Hearing people is clear and they don't hear any of the background noise of wind or water. They can hear the tree frogs though. LOL I had my first one for about 10 months and it just started making decisions on it's own. Like I was pressing the buttons. I contacted customer service just out of curiosity. Thinking I was going to have to invest in another one which I really couldn't afford at the moment. They were able to look up the serial number and sent me a new unit pronto! Huge surprise to me. I'll definitely be using Plantronics because of their customer service! Thanks everybody for making a quality piece of equipment in this day and age where everything is so disposable. It's nice to have something nice and not having to break the bank to have it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best BluetoothI love plantronic bluetooths, had the voyager legend prior to this one, people can't tell I'm on my Bluetooth when I'm talking to them. This model in my opinion is not as comfortable as the legend and the volume is not as loud as I would like it to be, sometimes its hard to hear videos or my music when there is noise in my immediate surroundings. Overall a great product, I would've given it 5 stars if the volume was able to be adjust louder to my preference.

Reasons: I don't know if it is on are off unless I check my phone. It want redial all of the time. On its own it switches from ear to phone while I'm talking. So I'm not happy with it at all. Now I'll be with out one, because I have to send this one back. A big inconvenience. I'm asking that you not send me the same one. I would like to try the Voyage Legend UC, please. And thank you.

I've made it a point to ask people I've spoken to on the 5200 how it sounds, how much background noise there is (NONE REPORTED YET!), and I'm happy with the way it sounds in my ear.

However, a part on my earpiece had broken. I have requested a warranty repair. Waiting to hear back from the warranty department!! Thumbs crossed love the quality of the comfort, fit and sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much improved over the Voyager HD ProI've owned the Plantronics HD Pro for many years (7), and it has served me well, but I was looking for an upgrade model. The Voyager 5200 was the answer. Its better because all of the new features, such as audio caller ID, location of on/off switch, mute button, location of active call on/off button. The company did not include an AC battery charger nor the soft foam ear covers, but includes USB cords for charging. Sound quality on both ends is 5 stars plus, no kidding! The wear comfortable ability you'll enjoy with this headset. Also, the range is excellent, about 20+ feet. This is really a sweet headset! I use it everyday and I love it!!!

I have purchased many "noise cancelling bluetooth headsets for my phone, and this is the best so far. The earpiece seems a bit of a strange fit, but does stay on the ear. Battery life is excellent. I use it a lot during work so I can type notes during my conversations, and after work, I listen to ball games, and live streaming of talk radio. One charge will get me through the whole day. It does intermittently lose the connection and then reconnect to the phone. I am going to contact Plantronics to see why.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have one complaint about 5220I purchased this Bluetooth on April 8, 2016 I've always been a Plantronics user of their headsets for the last 10 years I purchased the Voyager PLT not only because of the sound but also, the advertisement for the wireless distance of 98 eight or 30 meters I found the Bluetooth disconnect at 33 feet . I called technical support and they informed me that order for the Bluetooth to have the capability of a wireless 98 feet. You have to have a class I my Samsung phone I carry is a galaxy6 I was told by the Plantronics technical support that my phone was a class2 . So I will not be able to get the 98 range. I purchased it for some buyers beware also be looking in your manual. You will find this information, I made you aware of have not been put in their

I was also concerned about being able wear the device as I have glasses. Not an issue and it feels more secure compared to my old non-Plantronics device which was also over the ear. So far so good. Am impressed.

The improved (from the Legend background sound control makes it sound like I'm not using a headset. The smaller body hugs my ear better and feels more secure. The relocated volume buttons are easier to find and use. The possibility of accidental powering off is lessened. The relocated and enhanced mute button is easier to find. The added ability to initiate voice-controlled phone use is nice to have in that location. The look of the headset is more modern (in my opinion). The added ability to charge with the micro USB is great as it is less orientation-specific than the magnetic charging. I have not yet tested the battery endurance, but it seemed to get low a little fast yesterday. I want to get a carrying/charging case for it soon.

I was hoping the first one was a fluke but the second one did the exact same thing. They both stopped charging. On the second one it seemed like the problem was the micro USB plug so I bought the charging case. That worked for 1 day. Not even a week. 1 day. I'll never another thing from plantronics.

I dont think my head changed that much over night, however tech support says there is no difference in the physical part of headseat. These devices have good sound quality and the customer support is great.

This is my second voyager (purchased on 4 Dec 2016), previously I met the same problem too, whereby halfway when you are chatting on the phone, the sounds goes off and I realised the connectivity switched to iPhone. Afterwards I need to switch it back. It always happen to me. I have yet to find out the solutions, perhaps I have to send in for service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset!I am writing this while listening to music with my Voyager 5200 on my phone. I own an older Voyager UC but this headset is so much better! The volume buttons are on the top of the piece, which is less awkward to use one=handed. The call quality has been excellent, even with significant wind and I've yet to get any complaints from folks on the other end. It was used on a trip from Louisiana to Maryland with one charge in between. I received the headset with the medium ear piece on and switched it for the small, which fits quite nicely. One thing, the headset doesn't feel as secure on my ear as my older one, due to the fact that it doesn't have a cover for the earplug. The colors of the headset are very nice, the accents make it look like professional. I do wish it came bundled with a charging case; it unfortunately does not fit my older case. Overall, a very nice headset and worth the money!
