Quantum Dot makes today's games appear more lifelike by delivering a billion shades of accurate color. The CHG70 QLED gaming monitor features support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), so dark areas are darker and bright areas are brighter. See mind-blowing detail and contrast as bright blue skies share the screen with deep shadows and silhouettes. The fast screen refresh rate ensures you flawlessly smooth action scenes even in games with high frame rates. Designed to meet your everyday gaming needs, the CHG70 features a great curvature that gives you the feeling of being pulled in and wrapped around in your gaming world. The CHG70's arena lighting feature produces a pulsating lightshow on the wall behind it, adding to the atmosphere and helping you get deeper into the zone. The CHG70's 20-step Black Equalizer adjusts dark areas in games to whatever brightness level you want, enabling you to spot your enemies crouching in even dark hiding nooks. The CHG70 features an eye-saver mode which cuts down blue light emissions to a substantial extent. So, play on with reduced eyestrain and greater visual comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GamingIts been probably nearly 10 years since I bought my last Samsung monitor, and this monitor makes me remember why I pay a bit extra for this brand. This thing is nothing short of excellent. I had a friend over to play a bit with Assassins Creed Odyssey, and he was stunned that it was only 2k. The level of detail in games is incredible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performanceI bought this for PC gaming, and it hasn't disappointed. With my pc I sit around 250 fps in games like fortnite BR with the settings all the way up.The color is great, you can actually see blacks and go into caves without being blind. The picture is incredibly vivid and frankly this many hz is necessary for PC shooters. The main place I notice it is flicking to someone behind me, but whenever you move the screen a lot you'll notice it. The backlighting is pretty weak, it's a nice feature but it doesn't really show up. The display is so bright that I frankly don't notice it when gaming and still turn the lights on at night. This monitor is larger than most professional fps gamers use. This does make for larger images and a more immersive experience but it also means you're looking at more real estate to see things like notification or a shooter on the side of your screen. It's size does not impact performance.I don't generally like curved monitors but when you're sitting in the perfect spot all the time it's noticeably more immersive. I don't know if I'd try a TV that's curved as people watch from different positions but it's perfect for a monitor.Notice all of the 1 star reviews are about quality control (which frankly doesn't help show the performance of a working monitor, and is hugely in the minority for this monitor as well.(There's something about a samsung monitor and this one is no exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad image quality for such high prizeThe monitor suffers from weird horizontal lines, everthing looks like it has barely visible lines on it. It is as if the pixels had slightly larger gaps in vertical direction than horizontal. Also some programs or windows cause visible horizontal lines, slightly darker than their surroundings, outside their own window, for example youtube video edge causes this. HDR is also more like a gimmick, for some it might look better but usually things just look worse or the same with it. Might be because windows 10 still doesn't properly support HDR, and no one knows when it actually will.My first monitor also had several burned pixels, took it to Samsung repair shop but they didn't have spare parts and had to wait 3 weeks before I got a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Xbox one X / PUBGI got this yesterday and followed a youtube setup to dial it in and all I can is wow. The HDR is a game changer. On my 4K TV that I use to play on I would encounter dark shadows and extremely dark rooms inside of buildings. Not anymore. I'm able to see in rooms and peek into buildings so easily now. Must have for serious or even weekend warriors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hit and Miss MonitorPurchased CHG70 32 inch around 5 months ago as I got it on nice discount. One of the rare monitors who offers wide package of features sadly without nailing a single one. This is my 1st higher end monitor I owned and I do realise that its not 4k but seen few other monitors with same size and resolution with sharper image quality.Design wise thinner bezels would be life changer and Monitor stand takes tons of space on the Desk so ended up purchasing monitor arm separately. If this is the 1st 144hz 1440p monitor you purchase coming from 1080p 60hz and if you can find it for 400 euro max its worth its money. While If I could turn time back I would go for something different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Visual Quality Amazing - Response Above AverageI'm coming from the beast of response time monitors, the Asus VG248QE.I've been playing fast paced FPS games for 18 years now and I can say there is a slight difference in response time compared to the Asus (samsung is slower. It is very small, but it is there. However, I'm not fretting over it too much as the improvement in image quality is astounding and the overall size, with the curved screen, leads to a much improved overall experience. And if I am ever feeling the need for that extra 8ms back I can always switch to the Asus when playing games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've ever had!I've been using this monitor for a couple months now, so I feel I can give an honest review. The colors are a little more muted than I expected. I expected the colors to be very bright with a high contrast, similar to other gaming monitors, but I find them to be a little more muted, meaning maybe slightly faded looking? This could be seen as a good thing though, as the screen isn't so bright to hurt your eyes after hours of gaming. I was a bit hesitant about the curved screen, as I've never used a curved screen for gaming, but I'll say I find the curve to make the gaming experience more immersive. It's as if you're closer without being physically closer. The colors and brightness I mentioned are miniscule with respect to this monitor as a whole. The picture is crystal clear, and I have zero problems with refresh rate. I look forward to gaming even more when using this screen, and the setup looks very professional. The ONLY thing I wish this screen had that I've seen on other screens is the option to add a hip fire dot in the center.
