Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have never seen a nicer screen in my life I have never seen a nicer screen in my life it has one of the most modern panels for infinite settings, you want to put Gsync turn off the screen by its own settings and pass the settings to the RTX, GTX graphics card ... You have AMDfreesync disable gsync and turn on the screen everything from actions .. There is no black HDR magic and with Black lvl setting incredible colors, alive as if you see a painting I think anyone who intends to buy this screen should not think at all to close their eyes and blur now that it returns .... You will be incredibly satisfied with what you will see when you turn it on

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate monitor with unacceptable QA/Support like many, i thought this monitor would be the answer to my prayers for immersive singleplayer and competitive gaming. oh, how mistaken i was. the first monitor, i received on jul 16th and was awed by the monitor. excellent picture quality except there was a hair stuck in-between the panel and the screen itself. no worries, i'll simply return the monitor to amazon and get one without defects, or so i thought. two defective monitors later, i sent #3 to samsung for repair and it came back with a scratch (#4). #5 i ordered directly from samsung and it has a dead pixel on the left side. i've spent over 10 hours on the phone as well as dms to samsung twitter to no avail. someone else said it took them 7 monitors to get one that was perfect. i don't know what to do to escalate at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fix the flicker and it will be 4.5 stars i have the 27" and if the flicker wasn't present this would be a 4.5 star monitor. in order to make it a 5 star you would need to reduce the price and fix that. i am using a 5700xt with freesync and the flickering is none stop. i am using the latest drivers on the gpu and latest driver 1007.1 on the monitor and the flickering is really bad. everything else on the monitor is great and really the only thing holding it back is the flickering. this is a really expensive monitor and i didn't mine paying the price. it would've been fine if its not perfect but this was a major issue for me. i don't understand how this got certified even with this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The monitor itself when it works what a great monitor it was... until it died after 6hrs of use. got mine from amazon. when arrived, there was no dead pixels or flickering issues. i did not made any changes to the monitor apart from turning on and setting the fancy lights to "rainbow" and some brightness changes. g-sync was enabled by default. after 6hrs of use it just died... i was playing a game and the screen just turned off. tried turning it on, changing sockets, changing the cable that goes to the power adapter but nothing happened. the monitor just died.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uneven Backlight Bleed all arouns the edges for a moniter in this price range and from a "premier" display brand, it is laughable when looking at the quality control samsung has with it's products. not only is the customer service terrible, you only have a 15 day window to return the item while third party sellers have up to a few months! i figured purchasing from samsung i would have the best bet for a quality product with a reasonable return window but i was mistaken yet again. i did not even have a chance to test the monitor within the time span so looks like i'm out of luck. samsung didn't ship my ssd in the same order and then sent the wrong one so i couldn't even test out the component upgrades. shameful from a company my household trusted for years and relied on for many applications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They came a long way to fix most bugs when i laid eyes on this monitor i knew i wanted to get this for my (first ever) newly build pc. i got this monitor on release & documented everything on youtube what was wrong with it. samsung listens & applied numerous updates. from being able to get a ps4 to display in upscaled 4k to removing flickering issues (almost) entirely. and adding vrr! imo it's amazing even though it still has some small bugs. but a monitor is nothing without a user just like a pc. check out my channel: drift wolf gaming on youtube for more info. samsung has been good to me and always answered my questions. they always tried to update asap with new firmware. it might not be 100% perfect but it's close! thanks & please buy this amazing monitor. with the service samsung offers, you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor but 1 dead pixel after two monts this monitor is everything you want out of a 2k gaming monitor. the 240hz is delightful and a blast to use. however a few downsides. the display port cable supplied by samsung does not seem to support 240hz, so i had to replace this cable to stop the screen flickering issue. also, i have owned this monitor since the end of september 2020 december now i have 1 dead pixel. which has now lead to me starting the rma process. my biggest hope is due to the range of issues i have had samsung will do a complimentary rma and send the new monitor and ill send my old one once the new one arrives. however even with my experience id still recommend this monitor. if you are like me and like to use 32inch when gaming, like 2k, and want 240hz you cannot go wrong here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor. with the release of the latest firmware, this monitor no longer has any of the issues many of the low star reviews had. so if you buy make sure you update the firmware as it comes with a slightly older version. the colors are fantastic. va panels are amazing and give the closest experience to oled with good blacks without getting an oled. this monitor has great response times. no issues with black light bleed or anything of that sort. just an overall good monitor that gives amazing colors with the contrast to support it making things pop far better than an ips ever could provide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pixel dead in 2 months, Back cover broken i couldn't expect such a bad quality from samsung. it's a big brand, great tv's, great monitors. for a 700+ monitor i was really disappointed to find one pixel dead after 2 months. i hate the min 4 pixels rules to be changed. it's unacceptable. ( i checked the reviews and it seems like it's the new standard for the oddysey monitors both g7 and g9) also the back plastic cover (for the wires) it's made out of the cheapest plastic. after no touch it suddenly popped out. after i inspected it, one of the teeth that was holding it in place was broken... worse thing is it got broken and left somewhere inside the monitor. every time i rotate the monitor i hear it moving inside.

But... great but legs are way too long. please, samsung, create a new monitor stand accessory for the g7 odyssey. it is a way to rake in more cash and make your customers happy in the process. as someone who plays on low sensitivity for some games, it is incredibly frustrating to constantly be hitting the legs and not be able to use my full mouse pad space. please make a new stand and offer it as an accessory!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shuts off randomly when G-Sync is on this monitor randomly and suddenly goes dark (sleeps), turns on, then turns off completely if g-sync is enabled. i have to turn off the computer, turn it on, then quickly turn g-sync off to avoid the problem. g-sync works ok while running a game. the shutdown happens in windows desktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was amazing, at first... this monitor started out as a symphony of colors, motion clarity, and responsiveness. for a while i was fine until i began to have flickering issues that apparently affected others. i updated my firmware which should fix the issues and it did. however, following this i’ve been plagued by a number of new issues. the colors are now very washed out, the backlight has an issue when going between applications and even needing time to catch up to switch to another application's colors and light levels. i understand i got this monitor at a discount of 600$, but i expected more than this. i’m currently stuck between simply refunding this monitor and sending it back to samsung for "repairs". considering the price i paid for this product i shouldn’t be plagued by these issues right after purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent monitor filled with features, amazing picture quality. refresh rate is great and monitor performs excellently, but with one minor issue. the issue is, there is noticeable flickering sometimes on the monitor and i've tried to troubleshoot to no avail. it's not bad but it can be noticeable when it happens. hdr looks good and performance is great, otherwise. it's especially great for fps like valorant and cs go, where the refresh rate is at full advantage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flickering, Surprise Power Cycling, BSOD bsod - black screen of death I too have had issues with adaptive-sync flickering. This panel has also began to fail completely, seemingly turning off/on again, however only the lights come on. Sometimes the backlight does come on, but does not display anything from pc (pictured). The flickering has been captured in the attached video. this makes the panel unusable in adaptive sync mode. Switching between adaptive sync on/off on a multi monitor system is not a smooth or quick transition, and often changes where my desktop icons are displayed at the end of an unsettling display change. When it happens in a game, I'll often have to quit the game entirely otherwise it'll just crash when adaptive sync is turned on/off. These issues need to be addressed. do not recommend purchasing this product line until Samsung fixes this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor diff my favorite monitor is the samsung odyssey g7 guy. he is very powerfull. special move, honestly is one of the best in the game and so he comes equipped with these 1440p and only takes about 240hz s to actually execute a display so it comes really in handy specially when you come from the 100r (chat it’s 1000r not 100r) curves. #franad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid overall monitor i don't really think you can go wrong with this monitor. if you're not a professional gamer then i don't see how you can complain about it, there have been some flickering issues at times but nothing that has stopped me from gaming. certainly during regular work, spreadsheets and emails and such this monitor is amazing - it's so helpful to be able to split your screen and more or less have two smaller monitors. console wise i have only tried this monitor with my ps4 (not pro) and i didn't run in to any issues. overall a very good monitor with little to complain about if anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's nice with a few bugs coming from a small 2080p 21" monitor, the g7 32" was definitely an upgrade. i've followed this item since the announcement, and was quite skeptical because: it could have been overblown or overhyped. not so. i've had the item for only about a week, and i can say that there are a few issues that needs resolved (hdr games/apps crashes the monitor and flicker g-sync issues), but hopefully firmware updates can re-optimize the efficacy of this monitor. g-sync flicker issue info can be found on samsung's manual page 22. a big plus for the me is that (thankfully) the panel came dead/stuck pixel free. the backlight bleed is kind of bad. it's fine if you seat right in front, but if you look at it, in the dark and across the room, the light blobs are very noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flicker Flicker Flicker i wanted to enjoy this monitor so bad however i have now tried both the 27 inch as well as the 31.5 inch and both have horrible flickering issues. samsung claims this monitor is flicker free however after purchasing the monitor 2 days ago and having my monitor put me on the edge of a seizure every time you enable adaptive sync, i just can't stand behind this monitor at this time nor can i stand behind samsung until they address this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow love this monitor , the response time is very accurate and is the fastes va pannel i have ever tested by miles . the colors are way better than my tn pannel looks amazing . the osb is very easy to use and very little adjustment needed for my liking the refresh rate is amazing even with a rtx 2080 ti cant get close to 240 on many games (waiting for 30 series) very high quality parts and build . the stand is quite large and i will use the included vasa mount instead so it fits on my desk . love this monitor not much bad to say . the leds on the front look nice but you cant see them when your in front of the unit . came with a dp cable and hdmi .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but... i pre-ordered two of these monitors and was very happy to receive them weeks earlier than originally quoted. the design is gorgeous. movement on these monitors is very, very smooth. the only drawback is the flickering issue when g-sync is enabled. i've read the same issue happening on other brand monitors, so i'm not giving up on these yet. please, considering the cost of these, get this fixed, samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well i pre ordered mine and it came pretty quick. i haven't had any issues or dead pixels. the colors look pretty vivid with hdr on and you can notice a difference with it off. with the curve, you do have glare if you move away from directly in front of the monitor. however, i would definately recommend this monitor and i really enjoy using it. gsync also works well. a nice product overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it the only complaint i have is the shipping took a while, but that is understandable with covid. the support team helped get me tracking and i was happy. i would recommend this monitor. i am using a 2080 ti and everything looks wonderful. my kd has gone up, sniping in warzone is easy, and my overall wins have increased. if you are on an old tv with an xbox or on an old monitor--- you deserve this... buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome...if just used for gaming i purchased two 32" g7 monitors and mounted these bad boys to a desktop stand. they looked killer and made games absolutely stunning. i had no issues with flickering as some have mentioned, but i mostly tested it them out in fortnite. the curvature was adjustable after playing for a bit. however, when trying to view web pages or edit videos, i found the aggressive curve overwhelming. i dimmed the screen and moved farther away, but the discomfort persisted. i ended up returning both monitors and switching to a single ultrawide gaming monitor with a modest curve, and it works better for my old eyes. so, for my fellow middle-agers who also have productivity tasks as well as gaming, i advise seeing this monitor in person before buying.

Must BUY! love this monitor just came in today. no issues with it. i have seen the screen flicker issues everyone is talking about. i only see it when in game menus. other than that you never see it. highly recommended when you purchase this keep in mind this screen is like a phone it has firmware updates. you have to use a usb flash drive to download the update to then plug the usb into your monitor and go to settings then up update it to utilize 4k. samsung please send out an update to address screen flicker issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WQHD resolution and Refresh rate are sweet! i was using a 10 year old 27" 1920x1080 60hz 1ms monitor. recently i started playing warzone which was taxing my rig so i wanted an upgrade. configuring the game took a bit but it works very well however my old 980 gtx sc will not let me push this monitor to its limits. so now i want to upgrade my video card when the 3000 series come out. the curved screen does take a little bit to get used to but i like it a lot now. i have not noticed the flickering issue reported in other reviews but it could be that my video card is not showing up the problem. also my desk required me to get longer usb and displayport cables. this monitor is pricey but i used my work discount to knock the price down some which made the purchase easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1000R - more curve, more problems? i was looking forward to this monitor and would have liked to provide an actual use review of this product, but sadly this wont be possible. finally received after pre-ordering and seeing ship times slip, and the panel is broken right in the middle. i know firsthand that problems can happen in shipping, but the shipping box was in excellent condition, so i have to wonder if the highly-touted 1000r curvature is leading to increased frequency of panel damage. the riser in the middle of the styrofoam packing (see photos) likely causes a pressure point right in the middle of the screen. while the online retailer is providing a refund, this monitor is sold out at most places, and it will likely be weeks-months before i get to see if a replacement will actually arrive in working condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful but still has G-Sync flicker issue va panels have always been notorious for having flickering issues with g-sync. i had the last gen model of this samsung monitor and when freesync regular engine was used it was ok, but ultimate engine, which seems to have been replaced by adaptive sync on this monitor, it is exactly the same issue. this monitor has great colors, a butter smooth 240hz and hdr looks great when you crank the brightness--but that gsync flicker is bad. i updated to the latest firmware and still the same issue. no fix yet. i am returning it today and it breaks my heart because everything else was so dynamite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but flickering so this monitor is absolutey beautiful dont get me wrong, when it works properly its amazing. however like other people on here, i have a flicker. for me it only occurs if i use a display port cable, but if i use hdmi im put down to 144hz from 240hz. im sending it in for repair and if they cant fix it then ill just have to return it. not paying 800$ for something thag doesnt work properly. so id say buy at your own risk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The flickering issue needs to be addressed. adaptive sync on causes brightness flickers with gsync. turn if off no issues. i am well within the vrr range and it still fickering which is the issue. i really hope samsung is looking into this and hopefully its a firmware issue. during valorant and csgo framerate is capped at 236 and doesnt move but you can still see brightness flicker. this shouldnt happen especially when paying 800$ for a monitor. i bought mine from amazon but they have no more stock so i have to either wait and see or just get a refund. me and 3 of my friends all bought the 32” and we all have the flicker issue. video cards from 1080,1080ti, 2080super and 2080ti. so its gotta be either the firmware or the monitor itself. another issue is ps4 pro with 4k res you get this terrible color band issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE DISTORTION so first of all, this could be a 5 star amazing monitor but they screwed up something amazing. the curve on this is so steep and the anti-glare film is so terrible that it turns this thing into complete garbage. basically it's e-waste. is it smooth, yeah? no ghosting? check. headaches, migraines, eye strain? yep, has that too... you have to sit 3 inches from the monitor just to stop it from distorting, also, don't bother trying to work on it either. i have curved monitors too, i like them actually but only with slight curves, this is so bad, do not buy this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor w/some small annoyances. let me start by saying that i am a samsung fan. i believe they do a lot of the things we want at a more reasonable price than most companies. i own tons of samsung products including things for the kitchen. i think the only samsung product i don't own is a refrigerator. with that said i upgraded to this monitor from an lg 4k 60 hertz monitor with hdr. i was blown away by how good this motor looks and i was also one of those people who hated curved monitors. it is buttery-smooth at 240 hertz , hdr is amazing in most games, and it took some time adjusting to the curve, but i have noticed that after playing, sometimes for a few hours, i actually have no fatigue. the full g-sync on website is misleading since its only compatible. overall, i am loving this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FPS Dream Monitor 1000r curve is perfect and really what put this monitor above all others (i was until this monitor one of those i hate curved monitors people). va panel, before this monitor, va was simply too slow response and latency (fps games) -- whatever samsung has done, they have done it well. i'm using it with nvidia titan rtx and have zero flicker issues -- though i put some time into setting both card/monitor up-- nvidia control panel: ultra low latency, power setting to max performance, vsync off, threaded optimization on, no max frames - changed from default color to nvidia color settings, 10bit its freesync monitor also (it does not have the gsync board which causes flicker with some va panels). hdr600 does well -- being a va panel its free from black-bleed / bright spots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect all round monitor this monitor is a perfect all rounder. as we all know pushing 4k at a decent fps requires a lot of horse power. this monitor being at 1440p and focusing on more important features you will experience day to day such as 240hz and hdr. i am very pleased with my purchase. the only issue i guess is the price as it is quite expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too many headaches for an almost perfect monitor. almost good. flickering can be mitigated by increasing the freesync range. an annoying gripe is that when using dsc it takes longer to compress and decompress the signal or whatever so alt-tabbing on fullscreen takes like 2 seconds in 240hz vs instantaneously on 144hz . one major flaw is that when i tried to watch netflix or amazon prime video (even with just navigating to those pages and not playing video) my screen would go completely black. the black screen would not go away unless i either unplug and replug the power or somehow move that video streaming window to another monitor. latest firmware (1007). i'm assuming its some hdcp handshake issue even though nvidia control panel says that the display supports hdcp. hopefully fixed in a future firmware update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 27" is right for 1440p but it's curved i had to return this "ecxellent" monitor because it´s curved. we finally have a fast va monitor that is good for gaming. it has great black levels and colors but it's curved! clearly it's curved because samsung wants to sell something "new" but it's rubbish. nobody wants a curved monitor unless they are fooled to believe it's good. maybe it's ok on a super wide monitor but not on a 16:9 that you use everyday. too bad samsung doesn't know the market want a fast and flat 27" 1440p monitor with a clean minimalistic design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of Stand please make sure to check the height of the stand as it is non adjustible! i bought this monitor thinking you can adjust the height of the stand and this is not the case. the stabd is massive and when i put it on my desk i have to physically look up which is extremely uncomfortable. ive contacted support asking if there are any compatible replacement stands that they have but they always send me to samsung parts website and i’ve been on hold for over 5 hours with no response. i have also emailed them and no response. so make sure you read the dimensions carefully! ive made that mistake

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor right out of the box ! firstly - i have zero flickering! second - the hdr opens a whole world of color the 240hz smoothness is amazing and in games it is like butter. this is the best monitor i have ever experienced and i moved forma 4k to this one and i am not moving back to any other monitor. the 1000r curve really helps. i was very worried about edge distortion, but you cant even tell it is curved once you are using it the infinity core lighting on the back is a bummer for me since it backs into a setup so barely visible. i miss having profiles to quickly switch between different profiles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Monitor and bad Tech support it's a great monitor if you turn off g-sync and hdr you know part of why i got this monitor first off g-sync causes a lot of tearing as it uses vrr not real g-sync other thing is that turning on hdr causes the monitor to dim heavily guess that is the problem of it being 600 nits max, when real hdr starts at 1000 or more nits and quite frankly for the price of this monitor, should be at least desplayhdr1000 or more.also switching between content causes the monitor to do some kind of reset. in order to fix this they want me to take it back apart and send the whole thing back to them. don't have time for that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1440p monitor endgame. i game mostly and this monitor scratches all itches. hdr/1440p/240hz/gsync/great color. shooters, mobas, scrollers, rpgs... it nails it. i think the hdr hits a sweet spot with color/brightness/local dimming. i have not experienced ghosting and for that matter, anything, i do not like about this monitor. oh, and the curve, truly something to see in person. it's easy on the eye, relieves strain with long game sessions while immersing the entire time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor has some Issues the monitor is great and feature rich. there are some problems. the menu button inward click has started working on and off after about two months of ownership. the g-sync implementation here is inconsistent at best it sometimes doesn't flicker when playing games, but other times it does really badly. not a fault of the monitor as its a windows issue, but windows hdr is pretty bad. looks nice in games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its pretty love the infinity light. it colorizes the entire room at night for that nice little touch while gaming. never seen such clear detail. no panel bleeding. built sturdy. be careful of that back panel cord hider. the tabs are flimsy. using gsync on my nvidia 1650. upgrading soon to 3070. can't imagine that it can get any better. the 32 in takes up a lot of desk space but we'll worth it. good job samsung

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same flicker for generations of Samsung monitors this same flicker has affected samsung monitors for years now. it was also in my cf791. why can't samsung make monitors that don't have epileptic seizures? i'm sure you guys are losing millions because you can't get this flicker issue worked out. why don't you just fix this issue so people stop having to return endless amount of monitors to you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great monitor so far, the odyssey g7 has been all that i wanted; except for the ability to display hdr on my xbox one x. the xbox does not recognize the hdr, but the hdr works fine on my pc. i stepped up from a tl monitor, and the picture is amazing on the g7. i was not sure if i would like the curve, most monitors with a curve i have used in the past i did not care for, but the curve on the g7 is immersive and i am enjoying it. i have been very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's exactly as it says, but..... this monitor looks great on paper, but has some shortfalls in reality. it will lose signal every 5-10 minutes for a couple seconds each time. fixes online suggest turning off other features to prevent this from happening, but what's the point in having those other features? that's like saying your car has a radio and wipers, but they don't both work at the same time. i tried exchanging one from a certain online big-box retailer, but the replacement had the same issue. seems to be a characteristic of this monitor.

Note though that the stand is very deep so you need a large desk. The HDR, while it gets bright, is limited by the number of dimming zones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect 1440p gaming I've owned one from the launch. At first it was a real pain to actually get one. Initially I got it from microcenter. They had shipment issues and I ended up waiting about a month. The initial release has issues, this is certain with gysnc flicker even though it was certified compatible.. the brightness and colors were immaculate and I couldn't be without or find anything better than this monitor. Once a firmware rolled out adding vrr I got a 2nd monitor. 1440p gaming is the sweet spot and 240hz is obtainable depending on the title.. I am keeping these monitors for quite a while, I tried the neo g7 and g8 but for the price the g7 1440 240hz are what I'm sticking to.. such a fast display, great design and amazing visual colors and quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEAD PIXEL GALORE, ZERO QUALITY CONTROL i wanted to like this monitor, i really did. the specs are amazing, the colors are great, really a gamer's dream monitor....that's only if they could make one without defects though. is samsung just unable to produce this monitor without dead pixels? this is my 3rd one and it came with 3 dead pixels, beyond frustrating, this thing is supposed to be a "premium" product, it isn't cheap... i don't see why it has such a high dead pixel rate. i'm sure everyone's seen the reviews on here, people going through 10 monitors not able to get one without a dead or stuck pixel, what gives?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the curve and size i've had this monitor for almost a month and i'm very happy with it! the curve is beautiful and immersive. i think the size is perfect for me. it gives me enough usable space where i can see everything comfortably. i use it for work at the moment, but am excited to try some gaming when i my new pc arrives. some notes! unsure if any monitor lights out there exist that fit this monitor well because the top is so thin and curved. i got the benq lamp and some sticky pads and made it work. also, the rgb lights are not really necessary. everything else is the biggest reason to get this!

With it supporting 4k and HDR. I would have to say it really is the best looking monitor I ever owned. Bright and vivid colors if set up right. Anyone is interested in buying it. I do suggest having a powerful video card . Anything under a 3080 or 6800xt would be a bad idea haha.

I have been using this monitor for school and it is very useful being able to have ample space for two applications split when working on papers. I also use this monitor for gaming and streaming. Having the ability to have a full screen when gaming in the resolution the monitor provides makes playing games much more enjoyable. The colors are great on the monitor and works great for console gaming as well as PC gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from screen looks good but with issues bought this in june and started having issues with jog button 2 months later. do not buy. you will have issues and samsung customer service is horrible. only solution is to ship your monitor for and have then repair in a week or two. would recommend buy other gaming monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Gaming Monitor!! I've had this monitor for 6 months now and use it for both PC gaming and work. The 240 fps is amazing, especially coming from a 60 fps monitor. Gaming in 2k feels like a world of difference compared to 1080p, and the color quality on the monitor is superb as well (with the right settings). I thought I'd have issues working on a curved screen, but after an hour of use I got used to it and haven't had any issues. Overall I highly recommend this monitor if you are serious about gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a disappointment i had the monitor for 10 days and returned it. pros- picture quality was great, good contrast ratio made the colors look really vibrant. 240hz 1440p made games run super smooth cons- contrast ratio was no where near as advertised. its better than an ips monitor for sure but no where near what they said it was. the stand is gigantic for no reason. it takes up so much desk space the display flickers when you enable freesync/g sync. i tried this with an rx6700xt and a rtx 3070. used numerous hdmi cables and displayport cables. overall i really wanted to keep the monitor but the display flickering could be bad enough to trigger someone probe to seizures. it was on tbe newest fir ware update and i messed with every setting i could for 10 days before i got mad and returned it.

However, recently the menu system will not work, and the monitor switched to DP 2 after output was on DP 1. The bottom toggle switch will not work. Because of a part failure, I can not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding value I use the G7 as my daily driver monitor. It has good colors, the refresh rate is top notch and has solid HDR support, especially for the money. It's excellent for basic browsing and high end gaming alike. The curve is aggressive, but feels better than you'd think when taking it out of the box. GSync support was the selling point for me. My only complaint is with HDR, but is just as much of a complaint with Windows as it is with the Monitor, I'd just suggest turning it off unless you're going to play a game or watch a movie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Odyssey G7 this monitor is amazing,quality build, colors are amazing, dark is real dark if you put right settings (play with settings people) watching movies from bed 2m from monitor is perfect i didn't see any problems with dark scenes,no light bleeding or any problems what dark scenes face on some monitors/tv. gaming on this monitor is really different then on others, qled 2k 240hz perfection, 1000 curve is perfection, stand have quality like cabel management ( which is really important don't lie your self)material, hight adjustments, rotation, it will not slide on desk, you have to lift it if you wanna move it because of weight and rubbers on the bottom of the stand. it dose take a lot of space on the desk tbh

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scanline fiesta scanlines appears on red, blue and orange colors. - changing windows resolution doesn't help - changing black equalizer doesn't help - changing vrr doesn't help - changing local dimming doesn't help - changing contrast doesn't help - changing hz doesn't help (and if it did, what's the point of a 240hz monitor?) - updating firmware doesn't help trying to fix the issue make the monitor looks like a 15 years old monitor with washed up image... to this day, samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem (you can google "pixel inversion g7" and "scanlines g7", everyone is having this issue)

I was most concerned with color accuracy for photo editing. I had read several articles stating that you cannot get great color accuracy with high refresh rate. Then I came across this monitor. I must say the color accuracy is excellent for my editing needs. Color reproduction is great and the contrast is fantastic. And for gaming the 244Mhz speaks for itself. It is more than enough for any of my gaming. Turns out maybe you can have it all. I was skeptical of the curved panel but after a few days I'm not sure I would ever go back to a flat monitor for home use. Just make sure you have a lot of desk space as this monitor and stand are deep. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great when it was working. beautiful 240hz 1440p screen that died after a month of use. it ran well with a rtx 3090 high frames. just today august 10,2022 i was headed to bed so i went to wake my pc but the screen would not start. i took my oc to the leaving room to see ehat was up and it booted normally. i proceed to test the screen and troubleshoot a bit. the backlight comes on but screen remains black and the osd no longer shows up. second samsung screen i own. my first crg9 the big ultrwide had a huge gap where the backlight bleed through. samsung has very poor quality control. now i'm stuck paying for a dead monitor. samsung should offer a no questions asked refund to me and all others affected by their poor quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Monitor w/ 1 Flaw incredible monitor. i'm an asus customer. out of the box, it needs minor adjustments but once done, it's tremendous. the only flaw is the stand. sticks out far and the monitor wobbles a little while gaming. forced us to purchase a wall mount. 2nd, you have to use a usb flash drive to update drivers, why ? also, g-sync on is creating ghosting so we turned it off. other than that, it's a beautiful, butter smooth and impressive monitor. would i purchase again, absolutely. very impressive monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Monitor All Around I always doubted the value of 240hz monitors but combine with the near instant pixel response of Samsung's new VA panels this monitor is a noticeable upgrade from my previous 165hz monitor. Not only is it noticably smoother, but it is also extremely vibrant and eye pleasing. As someone who also owns an OLED TV I can say the contrast is still a bit lacking in comparison but this is about the best LCD you can get (besides mini/micro LED). My only complaints are that the local dimming is almost better turned off because it is edge lit (Only a few vertical backlight 'zones') and that I can't turn the Power LED off when the monitor is in sleep mode. I am very sensitive to high frequency noises and when my room is silent at night I can hear the light pulsing. This will not be a problem for 99% of people but I just wish there was a way to turn it off (Or at the very least keep it on so it's not pulsing)

I have had this monitor for about 6 months and don't have any dead pixels or have had a single issue with this monitor. The picture looks great and colors are very vibrant. I use this mostly for gaming in 1440p and for its high refresh rate of 240hz. I strongly suggest this monitor to anybody!

The fact the the pixel response time is so low and everything thing feels buttery smooth just makes this thing go from great to darn near perfect!. It's 1000R curve honestly makes the immersion for gaming so much better. Honestly I've purchased so many monitors and felt like I've wasted money on so many monitors in the past. However! This one is worth every single penny and more! I cannot wait to see what next Samsung display Makes!

I love it overall, but I did experience issues with flickering, which I believe I was experiencing because I use gsync. I solved that by turning VRR control on, but I do wish that hadn't been an issue, as I didn't find a fix for some time. I also wish the corners of the monitor were a bit different, as the screen material is rounded out instead of matching the corners, but the actual viewing experience isn't affected by this. I love the bright HDR colors, crisp image, and playing games with the super smooth 240hz refresh rate. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I gave it a shot and am enjoying it so far. 240hz is really impressive. Games are buttery smooth with my Nvidia card. Besides, the core lighting is fabulous. Not only for gaming, but it is a great monitor for any other tasks. If you are a gamer, I suggest you grab one of the Odyssey monitors for an awesome gaming experience!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Side by Side Samsung Takes 1st I reside in a gaming household, well I call it that, so does my brother. My parents they would prefer healthy household. Nonetheless, winning is a must when you game online, correct? How do you have an advantage over other players that's totally legit? BEING ABLE TO SEE YOUR TARGET BEFORE THEY SEE YOU. (Or the clarity on Animal Crossing really is enhanced with my Samsung Monitor too) This Monitor stands out in every way, it's not huge to the point where I cannot fit my console and cup of tea on my desk, it's not so small I have to get my prescription upped to play on it. It's true size does matter. Clarity and overall sense of viewing satisfaction. Why did I word my next sentence like that? Because that's exactly how you feel looking at the HD graphics on my Samsung Monitor. I get satisfaction, I have one and my opponents do not, I get clarity on the Sniper hiding on the ridge, translation = happy team when we get the win. Hands down I've played on the competition and some while nice and definitely were serviceable, NOT ONE came close to the satisfaction, enjoyment and experience I get to brag about to everyone including my brother in the next room.

There was a flickering problem that was commonly known but I never had the issue even from the initial use because of the recent updates for the monitor. Overall it's just money well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Button Design that keeps failing i bought my monitor on july 9, 2020, and just before my warranty expired in 2021, the power button/jog button stopped working. i was able to send it off and have it fixed, luckily, without any major issues. but now again, just a week ago. that same button that they replaced stopped working again. my concern is that i only used the button to adjust my settings when i first got the monitor and when it was replaced. other than that, it sat unused because i let my computer put my monitor into standby mode, which would also turn it back on when the computer was turned on again. it doesn't seem right that an 800 dollar monitor should have such a weak failure point. and now they are asking 160 to fix an issue that was already "fixed".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Term Reliability is an ISSUE at about 1 year and 3-4 months of owning the 32" odyssey g7 i had a segment of backlighting go out. to just send in the monitor is over $150 with no promise that is the final price for repair. unacceptable. the only reason this didnt get a 1 star review from me is because up until this point the monitor fit my needs perfectly, samsung did a great job assessing the market with the performance of this monitor.

I only wish it was more hdr then it is right now. Also it works great with my xbox series x one other feature though I miss is hdmi arc. It has 2.0 which allows variable refresh rate and 120 at 1440p. Other than those to features it work perfect for my needs

Never skips a Beat has Great Resolutions and the Image is SOOO crisp! I would Reccomend this to anyone and the 32 inch is the Perfect size for any Dektop application without taking up alot of space. Also the Stand makes for very easy adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beast of a monitor!!! I do not regret buying this product. This monitor is a beast and exceeds my expectations. Been using this monitor for gaming and work related tasks. This product has a 240hz of refresh rate and support g-sync / freesync favoring your nvidia graphic card, making your game play much smoother and fast.. Not to mention that this product has Qled technology which makes the view more vivid. Furthermore, it brings 2 usb ports and has a headphone hanging thing on the back of the monitor (a bit of a downfall, in my opinion). Aside, from all of these nice features, let's talk about the visual designs. The rgb options this monitor brings it's awesome. Turn on the rgb option during and your room or wherever you'll have this monitor in would add a nice touch to your place, at least to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great But Dead Pixel(s) the monitor has been great. the features like low latency, g-sync, and high contrast are really nice to have but you know what's not nice? dead pixels. i got one within a month which sucks because of the big price tag on this item (big discounts too :p). hopefully, more don't come. the dead pixel isn't that noticeable (2k monitor aka lots of small pixels) so i'll still give it a 4 star.

The 32 inch size along with the super high refresh rate in 1440P has truly changed the way I game. HDR also looks great after a few small tweaks to the settings to suit my viewing conditions. I've also convinced two of my friends to get this monitor after they saw it in person and were blown away by it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fully test do not settle for less bought this monitor and noticed from time to time the image quality in certain game screens and colors on webpages were terrible. sometimes it was fine depending what i was doing. i found a forum where people were talking about this monitor and scanlike lines that present themselves when you display certain full screen/intese colors,desktop wall papers from the asus website, and one particular jpeg. i could replicate this issue consistently so it went back in the box and right back to samsung. i would have let samsung try to fix it but didn't want to play referbished monitor swap with samsung or risk having to send this back multiple times. i went ahead and bought a four letter monitor company instead. i have had good luck in the past with them and their qc seems to be very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor With Some Issues The monitor works really well and is a noticeable improvement over my last one. Some people say the curve is a bit tricky to get used to but that wasn't the case for me (coming from a 24" flat monitor) The only real issue that prevents me from recommending this is that the "on" button has a bright blue light that you cannot turn off, which becomes painfully obvious at night especially when you're trying to sleep. I ended up needing to cover it up with tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality for its tier While most casual gamers won't notice the difference, those 240hz refresh rates make a big difference. Built in G-Sync def pairs well with the higher end GPUs and those colors are vibrant. No "vignetting" in my peripherals due to the extreme curve of the monitor. The 32" (while not 4K) is large enough that I can have a huge desk and still be close enough to not strain my eyes while still being far enough away to take in how expansive the field of view is. I have a lower tiered but same sized G3 stacked above it and man, what a colossal view! Considering getting a 2nd G3 to place both monitors on either side of the G7 and initiating a driving/flight sim setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Display Problems this monitor kind of sucks. while the "performance" is great, the screen has all kinds of display anomalies and issues, dead/stuck pixels, lines, flickering, flashing, the monitor itself even crashes or hard locks and has to have the power unplugged to reset. if they fixed those issues i'd recommend it, but as it is it's absolutely miserable. from what i've seen online and talked to others who have also bought this, one or more of these issues seem common among almost all of them, and possibly from terrible quality control and assurance.

Sharp, vibrant colors, very smooth, and just a gorgeous picture in general. I've never used a curved monitor before, so I wasn't too sure on that before I bought it, but I'm so glad I took the leap, it was worth it! Basically, this monitor, I highly recommend!

Don't think twice on any other brand, Samsung warranty is the best. I love this screen. It is curved. And if you feel like it takes some getting used to, it's actually more intuitive than you think.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid this monitor at all cost i purchased this monitor and when i pugged it in it had horrible pixel inversion and uniformity issues. i contacted samsung support to get it repaired . it took 3 weeks to get it sent back. when i got it back same issue. when i asked for a refund i was told they could not issue me one as per their policy. i sent it in to get repaired 2 more times and no fix. what ever you do save you time and money and go buy a monitor from another company don't play the monitor roulette with samsung

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, Fast and Curved! This monitor's pretty good for the price. The colors are pretty spot-on and vivid, especially in its HDR mode. The refresh rate: 240 Hz on 1440p: delicious (when using DisplayPort). The menus have enough in them to control everything and are not too bad to navigate, despite its gamer design. My only gripes are how it really handles HDR10/Dolby Vision. I will have to agree that this particular monitor does not have enough local dimming zones to really let it pop. Also that screen is a little more scratch prone so be careful with it. Another minor gripe is the VESA mount and the Infinity Lighting. When mounted, sure it's great but what's the point of the lighting when you kind of can't see it? I would say just leave that stuff off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible out the gate first off since my possesion there have been issues. getting 240fps was the first and persissting issue. so my user experience out the gate is that it doesn't perform unless i tweak every aspect of my setup. i feel like a guy spinning a bunch of plates on branches 10 chairs high. trying to get the monitor to function properly is a huge pain. dp2 fails on me less than 45 days after use.... now i have to send it out to get repaired. so just after the exchange and return period i am having port failures. so now i get to be down a monitor for who knows how long. i've had high performance monitors in the past that require little to no tweaking and work great. seems like a half baked product that doesn't play well with anything. don't waste your money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor with DP As much as I intended for this to be my gaming monitor, I wound up using my TV for gaming instead (since it was 55 inch, 4K 120hz), and this became my work from home monitor. The huge screen size and 1440p resolution mean I can snap two windows left and right and multitask easily. The curve also feels natural. The stand is very wobbly and would benefit from a wall mount perhaps. Could also be my desk as well, my new desk is more wobbly than my old. Even typing this review right now the monitor wobbles some, but I've gotten used to it. Most of the upper tier features of this monitor require displayport instead of HDMI, so for the highest refresh rate and VRR and such. I have it hooked up to my laptop through a DP-to-USB-C cord (v1.5 of DP) and it supports all settings this way; connecting to laptop via HDMI did not. Also, when I put the laptop to sleep, the monitor will shut off, but when I wake the laptop every morning, I have to manually turn the monitor back on, it won't automatically turn back on when the laptop wakes up. Samsung seems to be one of the few brands that doesn't do this and I don't know why they don't consider this to be a default function that every monitor across all price ranges should have. For Samsung, monitors often have to be physically unplugged and plugged back in to auto turn on or switch source input. Strange. It is this lack of automatically turning on which loses it one star for me. Otherwise, it's a great monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality at a good price the g7 provides great pictures quality, a nice balance between resolution and gaming performance, and the curve makes content more immersive. i have two gripes. first, i wish samsung had went with a usb-c port that could handle dp so that one plug could be used for both video and data for the usb hub. second, i would have liked to see an app for controlling the rgb instead of using on-screen controls. other than that, i have no complaints and will be enjoying this monitor for a long time. hdr games come to life and g-sync ensures that everything, even games at 50fps, appear buttery smooth.

The stand is also great and let’s me put it in any orientation. The only problem I have with it is that it sometimes turns off by itself. This could very well be an issue with my pc however.

Also absolutely no light bleed unlike my another IPS display (also very solid one). Cable management tray is also nice and helps tidy up desk mess pretty well. Ambient light is almost non-existent and doesn't impress at all and build quality could be better. Overall monitor looks a bit on a flimsy side and you can shake it easily while on a stand. That said, to me it's still a valid trade off given the specs and I would still prefer my Odyssey to another IPS gaming monitor I got which is built as a tank.

The 240hz screen is super smooth and there is almost no motion blur, the QLED panel is amazing has HDR and response times are just as fast as TN panels. Viewing angles are very good too. Definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor with a ton of features i haven't ever dropped that much money in a monitor before this one. i have to say this one was definitely worth it. i was unsure about the curve at first, especially when i received it and saw it first hand. i have to say though, for games, movies and anything full screen it's absolutely amazing! i barely notice when i have multiple windows open now that i've been using it for some time. really love the monitor and highly recommend it. i got it on sale, which i highly recommend waiting for one, full price is a little steep, although you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor with one exception my monitor works and looks great. i have an asus 4k 144hz monitor next to it and it holds it own. there is one problem, i have one dead pixel. its not in a spot that i concentrate on often so debating on getting it fixed because i love the monitor. wish it was perfect because i love playing on it. customer service said it they don't do anything about one pixel, has to be five pixels. i mean it's 2022, plm. pixel lives matter. no pixel left behind should be the policy. where's the quality control and the customer service! my asus xg27uq doesn't have any dead pixels. lets go samsung! ball is in your court.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Monitor, but not for me and my uses. nice monitor, but not for me. i purchased two of these for my desk. i liked them a lot. i liked the curve, as i had the monitors side by side. i thought that everything was fine with the exception of the way the text looked. no matter what settings i used the text looked fuzzy and appeared to have a halo, or glow about it. it was not horrible, but bad enough for me as it gave me a bit of a head ache after a while. i did not purchase these for gaming, rather they were for work and multimedia uses. if the text quality was just a little bit better it would have probably worked for me.

I also have an oled TV which of course has a better HDR picture, but it cost twice as much and isn't as fast. The curve isn't ideal for work but I love it in game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing monitor Amazing 27" 1440p monitor that has huge 240hz refresh rates that almost excessive since you'd need a high end PC to push any graphic intensive game that high. And even then, it probably has to be a competitive eSports game that's been well optimized to get near 200fps. It has a VA panel which is good for deep blacks and good contrast which is a trade off with an IPS panel for an edge in better colors. This is not to say that the VA panel ist good, because it really is. Viewing angle on VA is not as good as an IPS panel, but it's a single person monitor setup so that doesn't really matter. Amazing monitor if you're reaching for 240hz and have a pc to push it that far.

There is no tearing when playing on 120hz and it is the first time I have played 120hz on a console and its feels better than PC because I can play in 4K without losing FPS. It also has HDMI 2.1 support which is great because it supports the ps5 120hz gameplay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Much Potential Wasted Due To Quality Control While the monitor is one of the best in class, with the size combined with the specs of the display itself, the quality control issues are still a big issue. I received my monitor today with the left side of the screen constantly flashing this black bar, and every possible solution to get it fixed left me with nothing. While the size and smoothness were something to marvel at, the quality control issues are too much for me to even recommend playing the display lottery for. Could've been the best monitor I've ever owned, but fell flat on its face with a defect.

The curve is surprisingly nice to be in front of, but is limiting if I wanted to have three of them do to the extreme curve. The colors are nice, but could use a little bit better accuracy. My main problem with the monitor is the quality control of the panel. I bought mine brand new and it came with two dead pixels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised At first I was somewhat skeptical of the curvature on the monitor as I have never used a curved monitor before. After a couple months of use now I can say it's been an absolute joy to use. I mostly use the monitor for gaming, and research for work. As far as the work experience goes the monitor is a great size and the detail of text and web pages are crisp and clear. The gaming experience is where it really shines though. I was concerned about FPS games and the curve affecting my POV and aim but after a couple sessions I was used to it and it's performed amazing with its 240hz refresh rate. And lastly, RPG games on this monitor are the very best part of why I love it. The curvature combined with the color accuracy and resolution make games more immersive than any monitor I've used before. It's overall a great experience and any concerns I had about the curve are out the window. I strongly recommend taking the leap and trying the 1000R curvature if you're on the fence, its been a great edition to my setup and I'm very happy with the purchase.

I managed to snag it for only 400 bucks and I don't think I can find a better deal anywhere else for the quality of the monitor. Currently on about my fifth Samsung product that I own concurrently and have no complaints with any of them. GG

After ps5 has been updated to accept 1440p its been a dream to not have to upgrade just yet. Picture quality looks great once you have your settings dialed in.

Has 2 cable covers for super clean cable management A lot of built in settings to adjust the monitor to your liking (LEARN THE SETTINGS PLEASE) The RGB LED accents are soft enough to not be annoyingly bright but can also be turned off completely. Was not really into curved monitors but after just a few minutes of use I stopped noticing it completely! A couple things to keep in mind: This monitor takes up more space depth wise than I anticipated so make sure you have plenty of room. Also make sure to keep the monitor updated via usb stick.

It has a great picture, but I had issues with flicker. It would flicker, the screen turned black, and then I would be disconnected from whatever program I was using. I turned off G-Sync and some of the other advanced features and the problem improved. I also don't care for the wiring at the back. THe cover was useless since it did not fit well once I had all the connections, so the little plastic cord cover is in a box. When I was having problems, I found it impossible to get help from Samsung. I almost returned it to Amazon, but the box is so huge I just turned off the advanced features. I use this monitor for both a PC and a Mac, that I toggle between as needed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good visuals but bad support pros: - the display looks great when it works! - 240hz is smooth as butter - lots of features - updateable bios cons: - the product page online redirects to the wrong product entirely, so it's practically impossible to find the right info - initial led flickering issues eventually fixed with bios update - fails to work with specific versions of osx with displayport - "sleep mode" is nonexistent, windows will not see it as available/connected overall, good monitor that takes up a lot of desk space but makes up for it with an encompassing, engrossing, vivid experience. initial issues and lack of helpful support are reasons for 3 stars instead of 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor i love the monitor. tt's very fast, clear and bright! the only thing i would change on it is when shutting down w10 the monitor continues to blink blue. very irritating when i turn off my computer. you have to use the toggle and hit the power off just right as windows is shutting down, otherwise it will blink blue. i'm sure they could fix this with a firmware update if the wanted to, please do. otherwise i love the monitor.

TOO MANY ISSUES!! i was a huge samsung fan, i have their phones, tvs, ssds, and was very excited for this monitor. what a mistake… i have these insane horizontal black lines. i have tried, changing the cables, updating firmware, and sending it for repair. nothing has fixed it. this is a common issue, a quick google search will blow your mind. for the price you are paying you deserve better, its a good thing that recently a few other good monitors were released by competitors. do not buy this one, atleast not until samsung admits it has issues and fixes them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the microstutter with vrr control on is horrible colors are beautiful, contrast is beautiful, buuuutttt.. it flickers in most games with g sync on, vrr control fixes flicker, but introduces heavy micro stutter. is there any plan to resolve these issues?? 3 stars until it's fixed, this is absolutely absurd that a monitor this expensive would have these issues

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make sure to use a high quality DisplayPort cable i had flickering in game but especially when while watching videos via my web browser so i updated the firmware. that fixed the g-sync flicker while gaming but in browser i still expirienced it and it was getting worse. no issue when using an hdmi cable but that will only allow the monitor to perform at half it's capacity, technically speaking. after trying two different displayport cables with no resolution, i decided to use a higher quality cable i had (thick and better shielded) and that did it! the samsung cable is cheap and not properly shieilded from what i can tell. this is the best gaming monitor you can buy at 1440p which was perfect for my older system (gtx1080/6600k). the hdr is really bright and colorful and you can find the 32" models on sale for $599.99 on newegg. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scanlines, artifacts, and a stuck pixel to start, i really waned to love this monitor. however 1) its had a stuck pixel since day one, which customer service told me “do not worry this is normal. it will go away. contact us again if more stuck pixels show up” ummm, no. at this price point, there shouldn’t be any. 2) i started noticing major pixel inversion and some sort of awful looking artifact type effect when displaying certain web pages or game launchers. many others have had the issue that multiple rmas did not fix. yet, customer service just says “send it in” when thats obviously not working. really hoping samsung can address the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck! Great features! I'm using this monitor on my Xbox Series X and I would definitelyget another one for the PC eventually... I absolutely believe there IS NOT another 32" monitor with the speed, clarity, immersion... I was hesitant about the curve before I bought it, but since I've experienced it, I don't even notice it. If anything it's way better immersiveness. I play all kinds of games. From Call of Duty to The Witcher. All these features 32", 1000R curve, 240hz , 1ms, WQHD, Gsync/Freesync Premium Pro compatible... This monitor is absolutely outstanding... My only gripe is the desk space and NO SPEAKERS (it's not that big of deal really to me). The total space the stand and monitor takes up is about 33"w and 13"D front of screen to the back of stand. I'd recommend monitor desk arms or wall mounting. I love this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best monitor ever! amazing experience. i love this monitor, i have 2 of them in my set up. completely amazing and buttery silky smooth. however there are some things to consider. the screens are extremely reflective and any light does have considerable reflection issues so this monitor needs to be in a dark room. even the light from the other monitor is overwhelming sometimes so i have a dark background or a dark screen (like steam) up on the other monitor. also keep in mind how huge these things are. they must be able to take up an entire desk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Core Lighting broken within 6 months i picked this monitor up at the end of january to compliment my 3080 build, and found the 240 hz to be extremely fluid. i have not encountered any flickering issues as others have here. that being said, six months in, the core lighting feature on the right hand side lower led has lost its green, so if i put the core lighting to yellow, i get red on the right side. so now i need to decide if i'm going to rma it or not for what amounts to being a non-critical (but annoying visual) feature, and during the rma i won't have a monitor for weeks. overall if it had a few tweaks, and hadn't lost the core lighting, i think i'd be willing to bump it up two stars, but i'm expecting the whole thing to die by december by the poor qc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing colors i swiched to this monitor from a 15 year old 1080p, 60hz monitor with bad contrast and colors. i honestly wasn't expecting this big of a difference when i was looking to buy the g7. the high resolution combined with fast refresh rates and beautiful colors is spectacular. the curvature is also very nicely balanced in my opinion. i would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 27" G7 i have my g7 on hdmi 2.0 / xbox one x with 120hzs,vrr on i have to say i love it, its working excellent but there are some features i'm locked out of witch is annoying do to hdmi 2.0 and with vrr on the response time is set to standard when i would like to use the fastest response time setting moreover i would like to see samsung add a fps counter as utility this would help xbox gamers to decide witch in game settings to use based off there fps performance thank u samsung adding this will make the g7 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor with QC issues love the size and the curve. blacks are nice and dark and the whites are bright. never had any gsync issues or dead pixels. my problem was with a 4" shadow in the monitor. you couldn't see it very well unless the screen was mostly a solid color or moving. for instance, when the sky pans in a game. once you saw it you'd continue to see the stationary shadow whenever the screen panned no matter what was on the screen. it's also almost dead center so there's no way not to see it. i ended up sending the monitor back to samsung under the warranty. we'll see if they're going to fix it or send out another monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great graphics, poor build quality It has been a little over a year since I purchased, and out of warranty and out of support. Purchased this monitor after friends recommended Samsung and I have had Samsung phones for the last 13 years and love them. A few gripes I have about the monitor...the button layout sucks, toggles for monitors just shouldn't be a thing. The fact that it has a USB to connect but nothing ever seems to care and if I try to check for updates it says there is no USB so there is that. After I have had this Monitor for about 6-8 months I noticed the top of the screen started to come apart and I could see the light of the screen coming from where the bezel should be. I have gently pushed it back but non the less the glue won't stick and the screen just starts to separate at the top. By the time I have finally had time to sit down and look at the issue, of course I am 3 months out of warranty and Samsung can care less that you just paid $600 for a monitor a year ago, and they want almost a quarter of that $215+ for a repair, that is clearly a defect. This monitor has not moved since it was installed and the room has A/C since there is a powerful hot gaming PC in the room as well. Note to self: Steer clear of the screens with "borderless" bezels since the glue will not hold up and probably just avoid Samsung monitors for gaming all together since it won't even hold up for a full year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Torn: Great monitor but failed early I bought this monitor to serve as my work-from-home monitor while doing double duty for gaming at night. In terms of performance in gaming - the G7 27'' is great. Curvature, picture quality, etc was all great. I had this paired with my Xbox Series X and my work laptop. No issues on both. The jog button left a little to be desired, but it wasnt a deal breaker. The main reason for the 3 stars is, while the monitor HAS been great, after about 18 months of ownership i would get an intermitted dim spot in the monitor. Im assuming this is one of the backlight LED's going out. But, a quick power cycle would fix it; annoying but tolerable. Finally, after 3 months, the dim spot has become permanent. Every now and then it will briefly return to normal. I have reached out to customer service and so far they've been responsive. But considering that my monitor is outside of the 12 month warranty, I am not sure how this will pan out. Currently, this has turned into a disappointment after so much greatness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Monitor looks used!!!! I just got this shipped to me today and can't say I am too happy. The monitor was really dirty, almost like they sent me a refurbished one. The Samsung logo/buttons was also not on completely, but I was able to snap it back on. Terrible unboxing experience. I really hope they did not send me a used monitor as I do purchase a bit with Samsung and have never had an experience this bad before. So I go to set it up and what do I find....a dead pixel.....needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed my the quality control of this monitor. I was hoping this one would be the one I would hopefully replace all my monitors with in the furture, but not anymore. I am willing to update my review if I can get a resolution to this terrible quality control.

Then it got worse in 3 days I did everything I could do to fix it a bit update drivers change the settings nothing seemed to work. So I just sent it back because they don't send a replacement for defects it seems. Screen size was nice with the way it looked sucks this thing has issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This monitor could be perfect this monitor is amazing in almost all respects. the curve is so good, its unnoticeable. the colors and clarity are also excellent. the response time is quick. thge only issue i have with it is that the joystick that controls the settings menu has broken twice during the 2.5 years ive owned it. the first time they covered it under warranty but now they are saying that their repairs are only warrantied for 90 days!!! so now im stuck with a bad repair, waiting 24-48 hours to be told how much it will cost to repair. so i wouldnt reccomend this monitor at all as samsung doesnt stand behind their repairs at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the line This is the best monitor money can buy you. It has a 240hz 1440p display with a nice curve on top of freesync and a 1m/s response time. Two things to note as you use it. 1. It is a big monitor so make plenty of room for it on your desk. 2. It does get warm when playing for long sessions so make sure you have a well ventilated room. Other than that I would just sit back and enjoy the beautiful display as you play all your favorite titles. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not purchase. Died in ~2 years. Purchased August 2020. Used until October 2022. Now it won't turn on. No explanation. Just doesn't work. It was plugged in to a new surge protector since day 1. Now Samsung says that it will be $219 to repair it. For an $800 monitor, the warranty should be longer than 1 year. It should be at least 3 years. And even then, a monitor should last much longer. I've never moved the monitor from its location since setup. It has been used in a household of only adults - I am over 30 with no kids. There is no reason that it should be dead. It seems unreasonable that Samsung will not support this monitor, when used properly, for more than 1 year. But as I look around at my Samsung equipment, everything has issues. Both Samsung TV I have are not entirely functional; one the volume randomly goes up or down and the other's USB port died. And my Samsung Galaxy G9 won't turn on its screen unless I activate the always-on display first. All 3 are common Samsung issues, and I'm tired of being burned. I am losing any small amount of brand loyalty that I had toward Samsung because their products don't last, and this monitor is the worst example of that truth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too many point of failures. The picture you see of my product is hdmi cable after struggling forever to get it to post. Menu button still doesn't work properly. Tdlr:Price of monitor is not worth the faulty equipment of this monitor series. $300 repair fee or higher if something goes wrong. Please do your research of the major problems of this monitor. If you value your money look for something else in this price range. This monitor was great when it worked, I had it for a year and immediately the monitor just had a mind of its own. Fob on the monitor wouldn't open menu or would be extremely delay to open it. My monitor would randomly cut in and out and eventually just out of the blue diaplayports just stopped work. Even attempting to use the HDMI was terrible because it would never pick it up after turning on my pc, after time and time again attempting to troubleshoot the problem I gave up. It has been sitting for like a whole year gathering dust. When I did get help from a samsung expert everything they asked me to do failed. During this time frame my warranty just had expired (1 month from the date of expiration.) Samsung called me and said they could fix it for $300 to $350, I asked the rep what was wrong with it and they told me, we do not know we would have to check. So you are telling me I paid $700 for this monitor and you want me to send you it and pay you $300 for you to fix something that you don't know? So you are telling me if it is a simple fix I'll still get charged $300? Not worth the money at all, my brother has a Asus monitor in the same price range, actually less that has godly performance and quality. PLEASE BE ADVISE OF THIS WARNING, do your research, look it up, this monitor has MULTIPLE problems. It is absolutely not worth the price especially when they are ready to charge you $300 for a fix.

TDLR: Absolutely not worth the price, $350 flat fee to repair it even when they don't know what is wrong with it and it has multiple point of failures. Please do research before buying this blindly like I did from YouTube videos. Too many point of failures, this monitor has the be the pinnacle of problem solving. After of year this monitor just gave out, after flickering on and off often through out the year to completely blacking out. The display ports on the monitor just completely stopped working and so did the hdmi port, eventually I got the hdmi port back (I let it sit on my mount for almost another year before touching it again.) After trying troubleshooting it on my own, with a Samsung expert and using YouTube and threads nothing would fix my issue I was having with the menu fob button and the display port not displaying anything or working. After talking to an expert I got called and told it would cost $350 flat fee to pay for the repair, I asked if they knew what was wrong with it and they said no they have to check. So you are charging me right off the bat $350 for a repair that could be simple to fix. My brother has an Asus monitor for around the same price range that has superior colors and has lived longer then my own monitor. Paying so much for a monitor with multiple point of failures is ignorance and I fell for it. Please do your research on this monitor, it is not worth the headache or hassle you will go through, menu button unreliable trash, flickering, black screens and ports not working properly. I'll try to post a picture, but it didn't let me last time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome monitor! Needs better quality control I’ve got the G7 and the G9 and love them both, great monitors overall, but….with my purchase of the G7 Curved. After about 5 months of owning this monitor I started noticing a white line developing at the top on my screen. After another 2-3 months I found that the screen is literally pulling away from the monitor base. I would say, this monitor is totally worth in a flat panel version only. Due to the 1000R curve and the lack of quality control I’m stuck with a great monitor that I can’t stand looking at. Even thought about purchasing another one with a longer warranty but still the chance of the screen coming off the base of the monitor is always on the back of my mind. Samsung needs to make things right with this curve or give people a better factory warranty with these curved ones. If someone wants to reach out and contact me with a way to repair or fix my screen, I would be willing to pay for repair if it’s possible. But I won’t buy another one, Alienware2721D looking pretty good even at the higher price.

It's part of Samsung's 2020 Odyssey gaming lineup, and it's one of the few monitors available in two sizes: 27 and 32 inches, which we tested. While I typically prefer a two monitor set-up for work, this monitor has enough real estate for me to have everything I need on one screen. For gaming, it's great -- I love the wide, curved image and fast response rate. My only complaints are: 1) I occasionally have an error where the screen flickers or blacks out (always solved with a restart - could be PC-centric) and 2) the button to power on/off, change inputs, etc. can be finicky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Gaming Monitor! Got this over a year ago. Was my first time ever getting a gaming monitor and I must say this is a beast. The picture clarity is great. No screen tear during gaming or movies. Once you get used to the curve it works well for some games. Now many complained about dead pixels or what not. Yet I never had issues with mine even after I updated it. Either way a great product.

For the first view days I had issues with the screen going black for a few seconds and then turning back on while I was using it. Tried power cycling it, updating graphics drivers, adjusting settings and nothing was working. Finally tried setting the refresh to 120 Hz and it seemed to solve the issue. The other issues it has, is that occasionally a thin line will go down the screen slowly from top to bottom and offset the image slightly. Other than that, this a great monitor with very good picture quality. If these issues didn't exist, it would be a 5 star for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from scan lines, flickering, panel separating when displaying certain colors terrible scan lines appear on the screen. display randomly turns off and turns back on about 2-3 seconds later. the glue holding in the lcd panel is failing causing a huge gap between the bezel and lcd panel to open up and let loght bleed through. avoid these things like the plague.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so i did tons of reviews and youtube before i picked this up. it's amazing. picked it up for the new xbox series x. had on my xbox x. if you turn freesync u can do 4k 60hz. on the xbox. then set the odyssey g7 32'' to 144hz. it looks amazing. still don't understand why they just didnt do 4k but i'll take it. even in 1440p at 120hz looks amazing.
