Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad monitor... No support!!! I bought two of these monitors from Amazon refurbished. They are both exhibiting the same symptoms. One of the monitors has large blocks of coloured streaks that appear after it has warmed up. The driver board ic's for the backlighting get way too hot and the monitor blacks out regularly ( every 30 seconds or so). Sometimes it never comes back and it messes up my graphics card and system because it drops off the line altogether. I have used computers for 30 years +. I know how to insert a cable and ...yes. They have all been certified 4K cables. One monitor starts flashing like one of the colours has been removed...(screen flashes mostly green but image is there. I'm very dissapointed and Samsung service chat said they won't help me. All I need is a new board for the really bad one. pixels look ok except that there is a random flicker of single pixels all over the screen constantly when it's turned on. I wish Samsung would honour the product...it's only 2 months old.!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defective from the start!! I purchased two of these same monitors from Amazon 'refurbished'. The screen pixel and colour is fine but they both keep going off constantly. The backlighting circuitry is getting very hot and constantly shuts down because the data is still available. The second unit has this flashing green screen (with the image still visible...like a negative) for only seconds but constantly but then eventually goes off. There is a sparkling on the screen that is always present (when it is working) like a random pixel activation...very visible on a black screen. They are both 2 months old and had problems from the very first time I turned them on. Used certified 4K cables, tried on other computers etc etc.. Same symptoms all the time. This is a manufacturing defect that must be fixed. Samsung on-line support said they won't help me because I am in Asia (even though I bought the monitors in USA) . IS this for real???...SAMSUNG??? I just want help fixing the monitors, that.s all...

Not only are the colors amazing but the gameplay is very smooth (running it @59hz Funny thing is the last two TVs I purchased and now this monitor are all Samsung. I did t go into any store looking for this brand on any of these buys, I just wanted the best looking at the best price with the right quality and ever time ( Samsung). I can only conclude that Samsung make fantastic products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 32" UJ590 UHD Review... I received this monitor today after purchasing from a 3rd party website (Not Samsung). I generally inspect everything I purchase prior to setting up. Everything was packaged neat and clean inside the box. The monitor was wrapped correctly and there was no marks on the screen. Upon assembling the base which was quick and easy 1 Small Thumb screw. The "Base" insert into the monitor was sort of tricky it's a "SLIDE" in not a press down like some other monitors I have. I have purchased many monitors over the past several years. I've now upgraded all 3 of my home computers to 32" inch monitors. I have a Samsung C32F391 Curve 1080P. This is my first Computer monitor that supports 4k Resolution. Once Plugged in and powered on using "Display-port" I was met with 1080P standard resolution. I have read from other reviews that the Display port won't allow for 4k 60hz.. this is absolutely not true as shown in the snip screen I have. I have a Nvidia GTX 2080.. While I did have issues getting it to support 4k straight up.. All I had to do was restart my computer and now it's in 4k and 60hz...I did have to use Nvidia's Display Panel Option and not "windows" Native Display option panel. Your Video Card has to support 4k 60hz native. If you are upgrading say... a 1080P to 4K.. it's impressive. The colors and clarity are really good, I'd call this a good Professional Monitor. It lacks features to make it "Great" for Photoshop programs. However It's amazing for AutoCad and Fusion. While this is Advertised as a "gaming" monitor I would say it is not. Most if not all "Actual" gaming monitors are above 60hz. Since I don't have an AMD video card I cannot determine how well FreeSync Works and so this could be where Samsung is getting their "Gaming" Monitor Status. Like Many Samsung models, The base of the monitor does not adjust it's 4 1/4" from bottom to base of the bezel. In all Honestly the price point for this 4K monitor is amazing. You can't really find a better 4K monitor for under four hundred. A reason why I chose this particular monitor as it's the "Older" version of a Recommended Monitor on a very well known reviewing website with the same exact feature and functionality just in a different color.

I spent hours just viewing old photo I've taken in the past. It was like viewing them with a new dimension. Not to forget the high resolution that let me view the photos almost without zooming out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Quality I bought mine at Best Buy on a sale i just happened to catch. This monitor will do 60hz on HDMI but only through HDMI port #2. Make sure you have at least a Geforce GTX 1060 6gb GDDR5 or equivalent. When you hook this monitor to your PC it will try to push HDR or UHD. I have to set most of my games to 1920 x 1080 for best frame rates until i upgrade my card and power supply. For the best use of this monitor i recommend using a Geforce GTX 1080 Ti and have at least 16gb of DDR4 RAM installed.

I am quite please with the Samsung UJ 59 32” UHD monitor as it is the right size to view 4K at 100% scaling with no pixilation in sight. The screens color reproduction is excellent and it had Freesync which I got to work with my GTX 1080 Ti. Most games with a little tweaking can run on High to Very High settings at 40 to 60 FPS. The fact that it has VESA is great. It has some Issues after driver updates where G-Sync compatibility failed even though it was enabled in all the menus. By following the sequence of removing G-Sync under G-Sync menu and setting monitor back to fixed refresh rate and then selecting G-Sync compatible again and going through the G-Sync setup menu options allowed variable refresh rate to work again. I think due to the above factors this monitor will not get a G-Sync certification in future unless Samsung can perhaps address the issue with a firmware update?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good picture I like the monitor but, because the screen sits about 3 feet from me on my desk I find the controls to be in an awkward position, if I put the computer to sleep or want to adjust the workings of the monitor, reaching around the back of the screen with my left hand is difficult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor Loving how large and crisp the display is, however I was surprised to see that the monitor has the Samsung branding on the front-bottom bezel. I picked out this monitor because the pictures showed no branding anywhere on the front... a little bit misleading. Also another thing to note, there is no Display Port cable included in the box so if you use the included HDMI cable you're only getting 30Hz refresh rate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think Twice before Buying The Display Port & HDMI Port 1 are only capable of 4K at 29/30hz. HDMI Port 2 can operate at 4K 60hz but good luck finding a DP to HDMI converter/cable. Samsung... Why is the DP connector in this monitor not capable of 4K at 60hz???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Monitor at Best the stand was wobbly and took up a lot of room on the desk. it also had no height adjustment making the viewing angle a little uncomfortable. i had to purchase a wall mount vesa bracket to correct this. the picture quality in pc mode was washed out and blurry however when set to the av mode it was better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture quality but unimpressive features. this is a budget uhd monitor and as such it has some compromises. its picture quality is incredible, with vivid colors and freesync for games. it only goes up to 60 hz, but that's fine for most casual gamers. then, the stand is too big, you can't move the panel up and down. also, it lacks usb ports, something very handy that many other monitors include. also, it is not hdr, but that's expected for the price. the most annoying thing is that it is not hdcp 2.2 compliant as far as i know so you cannot stream uhd content from netflix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value Real Estate for your computing needs! essentially i bought second one so that i have two of these bad boys on my desk right next to eachother. mostly i use these for every day use. i play some games occasionally but mostly these are used for everything. i am not doing digital content creation nor am i a professional gamer so i am not too picky when it comes to the fine details. if you want the best bang for your buck, this is a great monitor. freesync makes it epic since it works with nvidia as well, but good luck trying to run this thing at 60+hz at 4k. i would rather game at 4k then worry about my framerate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the images, hate the screen control!#$# Bought 4 weeks ago to use with pc, macbook & PS4 Pro. I love the screen size and the coloring. I was unsure if I would be okay with going from a 4K 27" IPS monitor to this type. Couldn't be happier with the color saturations and resolution. That said, the control issue for the ports is terrible. You have to fight to get it to come on, then you can only move it 1 port at a time.I can say enough about how much of a pain it is to try and get it to come up and then to switch ports. And yes, even in auto it doesn't switch on it's own when only one device is on. Very disappoiinted, I would have returned to Best Buy in my 15 day window, but got caught up in all the changes at work due to c-19. I don't know if they can do a firmware update on this, if you can, PLEASE do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flickering while gaming loving the picture quality of it and the size, but for some reason i do get occasional screen flickers. it seems to happen while i'm playing minecraft or warzone (haven't played too many other games). sometimes it'll stop if i turn off free-sync, but i wonder what could be the issue. i'm using a amd 5700xt graphics card with 16ram.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad power connector design. I bought this monitor to use with an employer provided laptop for general business use at home and it works great when powered. However the connector used to where the power supply plugs into the monitor is of very poor quality. It does not fit tightly and has to be in just the right position to work. I taped it in place and used it for about a month, and now it will not work at all. I do not recommend this monitor until Samsung changes the connector design.

Picture quality is amazing, if you are coming from Full HD this monitor will be a major jump you will immediately notice a drastic difference in picture quality and display real estate. Its good to note that this is not for people who are gaming but if you are using Photo editing software or Watching movies or if you are a Developer this would be a monitor you should definitely consider purchasing. For those who plan to buy this monitor you should note that this monitor will only push 60hz on the HDMI 2 port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor, Cripplingly Horrible Power Cable... The flimsy power cable they shipped this was a problem from day 1. The very first time I plugged it in when it arrived at my house, when plugged the brand new monitor in for the first time, it wouldn't turn on... a series of troubleshooting later, I realized that the cable would randomly connect when I bumped it, so I wiggled around and found a position where the brand new charging cable would actually power the T.v... If it is bumped, etc. the display will turn off. Fast forward to today, the power cord has sat in the same spot, in the same way, since I bought it... as of today, nothing i do will turn on the display, as the cord has completely ceased delivering power. This is after less than one year, with the monitor existing in the exact same spot, untouched. That power cable design is simply unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Budget 4K panel with bad power connector design The UJ590 image quality is good when it works. However, the power connector is a disaster. The power connection is at the rear oriented upside down, you connect it with an angled coaxial barrel type connector. The connection isn't tight either, it'll click but any slight movement will cause it to pop off. With time, the connector just comes out. If I start to notice flickering, I know the connector is coming loose. I resorted to taping it down, even that is temporary and have to fix it periodically. It's a shame it has this flaw, because the image quality is decent. If you are looking for a 32 UHD monitor, keep looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value 4K Monitor (I'm an engineer who sometimes evaluates and qualifies LCD monitor panels at work, for embedded applications.) The UJ590 is not Samsung's top-of-the-range product, so it should be taken in that context. Considering it's a large screen size 4K monior, I'd rate it medium/high. Image quality is good but not eye-popping amazing as some claim. The colours, viewing angles are good and contrast capability (after adjusted from default) is above average. Brightness is adequate. Assembly is a bit awkward but not too complicated. Adjusting is easy and it has just the right feature for this class of monitors, with no unnecessary and gimicky stuff. I have only two complaints. Sorry Samsung, but not providing height adjustability is a MAJOR ERGONOMIC FAIL! At the very least, the screen should've been made lower because it's always easy to put something under the stand. I wish I noticed this in the specs, before I bought the monitor. The other poorly executed feature is upscaling from lower resolution. Upscaling is never perfect but I expected only pixel wide colour fringing but the result was an awful, rainbow coloured mess.So, If you are forced to use a lower resolution source, look elsewhere but then, why would you buy a 4K monitor, right?! I use native resolution and I've bought the monitor at less than 2/3 of the recommended retail price, so I consider the monitor good value. (It would be average value at RRP.) All in all, in its own category, it's a medium monitor at a budget price so that counts for good value. The conbination of 4K resolution and the 32" screen size works very well and aspects of the picture quality are from medium to above average. The high screen position coupled with no height adjustability is ANNOYING.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual 32 inch monitor I use 2 monitors for Music production, high resolution is essential. The Vesa holes make it easy to configure depending on the type of mounts you have. I use an Ergotron which allows me to do vertical or horizontal and when I am done working, I can watch Movies in Ultra HD or play a game at high resolution. The versatility of these monitors makes them ideal for various multimedia setups.

I love this monitor because you get an amazing 4k monitor for a really good price, but I absolutely hate how when I turn on Freesync, there are so many fickers and stutters. If it werent for this I would tell people that this is the best monitor for what money can buy but I hope Samsung fixes this. Other than that amazing mother for day to day activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed a 4k Monitor for work... and play! so, i really bought this monitor more for work because i needed something with some real-estate and a budget. i picked this monitor to pair with a new laptop (gaming laptop with a rtx2060). gaming was second and productivity was first... well... so i thought... this monitor does a really great job with gaming. i have absolutely no complaints about it other than the one display port and 2 hdmi. i would much prefer display port, but that was very minor overall. the screen real-estate is fantastic. although, now that i am getting the g9, not sure what's going to happen to this monitor, but i am sure i will find a way to put it to good use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, great price on sale My new laptop was native 4K resolution, so I wanted a nice monitor to plug in that would keep my screen layout the same when I used it as a desktop or laptop machine. My only complaint is that HDMI1 is a 30Hz only input vs HDMI2 which is 60Hz. It took a little online research and a call to Samsung's tech support to figure out why my videos were flashing during playback. Why not make them both 60Hz or at least make HDMI1 60Hz since that is where most people will plug in a new monitor.

Tried to get answers on why 4k 60hz isn't supported by Xbox series S and was told "it's old 2015 model, let me know if you want link to our newer monitors." You're still selling this "2015 model" that I purchased with a 2020 mfg date... It works 4k 60hz on Xbox one S. Will not work for me with Xbox series console.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor - Explore Curved this is a truly great monitor, has a rich feature set and the color is great for this class of monitor. reviewers that claim that the color is not good are comparing it to smaller monitors coasting thousands of dollars - specifically made for pantone registration and have been calibrated as such. this monitor is perfect enough for the average user. i was against getting a curved monitor - however at 32' you eyes have to refocus when your field of vison moves from the center to the sides/edges of the monitor. i would probably choose curved for a display this big, sitting on my workstation / desk.

The moniter is prefect for having multiple windows/tasks open. I can keep my eye on my works group chat while working on projects. Overall this is the best monitor I've ever bought. I've already recommended to some of my colleagues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor blanks to black when resize VM window have one of these monitors at work. works great on windows, but whenever i move my vm window to it and resize it, the entire monitor goes all black for a bit and then comes back.. unless i resize the window too large, then it goes all black and stays all black until i make the window smaller. it would be easy to blame the video hardware or drivers, but the laptop is already running the latest drivers, and other 4k monitors do not do this when connected the same way. if you're going to use vms with it, i would not recommend this monitor, otherwise, yeah, it seem to be a great monitor otherwise.

I love the ultrawide size, I can have the equivalent of 3 full sized windows open all the same time and on the same screen. Rated 5 out of 5 by from waited month, returned the monitor waited month due to back order they sendtvia ups ground, took forever to get the monitoring, and monitoring was defected, left side lower corner seem pressed during assembly, and it is darker than other area, and it is very very noticeble. return the monitor. monitoring is good size and price was right, but quality was not acceptable, also during qc should have caught the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stupid popup menu when used with KVM nice monitor but when used with a kvm the setup menu nagging you about optimum screen resolution shows every time you change session (as the kvm only supports hd). this is insanely annoying. shows product testers do not use these things in the real world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Monitor - Avoid colors will not display well no matter how much i try to adjust them. picture always looks washed out. single toggle to menu rarely works. it usually takes around 15 attempts to get it to work. i use this monitor for 2 inputs and the only way to switch is using the broken toggle. picture frequently goes black for around 30 seconds before continuing. this is an issue reported by many people if you read reviews. monitor will go to sleep and not wake up unless i unplug it then plug it back in. much better products out there. only had this monitor a year and it's ready for the trash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hdmi ports quit 5 days out of warranty bought this as a monitor for xbox one x. both hdmi ports quit working within 1 year. purchased nov 28. so i am 5 days out of warranty. samsung no help. guess last option is to yeet to shotgun range for target practice. also had a samsung tv go out at 14 months. no more purchases from me. stick to lg.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size and viewing angles Full 4K 60Hz. I got 2. Works great with PS5, XSX, and PC games. Mostly used for work and I love having all the real estate in in area and resolution. Points off for the stand situation but put this bad boy on an arm and you're golden.

This monitor is large enough for writing on two pages in a word document without scrolling. I love this monitor for the things I use in my office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to beat at this price I've picked up 3 of these, each for around 300 dollars slowly over the past two years. Great brightness and contrast for the price. The dynamic contrast mode is great most of the time with superior colors to factory settings, but can be disorienting if there is a black screen with a tiny amount of white text. It will simply turn the screen near invisible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Monitor I bought this monitor in September and 2 months later it started just turning off randomly or going into eye saver mode and flicking off the monitor. Now it glitches every 5 minutes or so with flashing green and purple colors and turning off. Also, the stand it came with is bent slightly so my monitor sits crooked without a wedge of some paper under one side.

Beautiful monitor that has served me very well using across two devices (gaming PC and work laptop), but the JOG control becomes unresponsive which doesn't allow me to switch between the inputs. It's SUPER annoying. I have to unplug the power to the monitor and unplug the input, and then plug back in with the input I need.

The monitor delivers excellent picture quality with a great native contrast ratio and decent black uniformity. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor, confusing UI The color and screen display are excellent. Better than I needed, but lovely just the same. The 'jog' button on the back, the only input for the device, is unintuitive, and I think, buggy. Docs say that the functionality varies from one 'model' to another, so YMMV. Sometimes, the menu display just does not show, no matter what you do. Sometimes, when it doesn't show, it still does stuff, but different from what the docs say. Sometimes it's different even when it does show, but not often. I stumbled into undocumented menu displays a few times. The docs pretend it can only be used with Windoze, but I used it mostly with mac laptops. There was some sort of mis-resonance that kicked in when I woke the Mac from sleep - the Samsung would switch between displaying and not displaying, about a half dozen times, before I could use it, 10 or 20 seconds. It's like the Mac sent a signal to the monitor to wake up, then it would wait for the wrong amount of time, and give up and send a signal to turn it off, right as the monitor would come on. Over and over. I called the monitor 'Blinky'. It just burned out, after 3 years of otherwise reliable use. I think that's a little short, but I can't say I took care of it well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good cheap 4k monitor. Lacking some stuff It's not bad, but not amazing either. I think once you go past about 29" your eyes are scanning in 4k from one side to the others. This feels very spread out and as a consequence doesn't seem as crisp as you would hope. Response rate is meh. Lack of ports, charging, ease of ability to switch between input and delay in detecting an input hold it back also. Overall its a very capable monitor but not as amazing as others would have you believe. If your on a budget and want 4K this is a good choice. If you can afford to spend more and get something better - do so.

The frustrating thing is when the left side of the screen occasionally turns black and the only way to fix it is turning it off then back on again... which throws all open programs onto the other monitor. Not a deal breaker because it only happens occasionally... but it is annoying.

This 4K monitor makes all very small details very crisp and clear making my job much easier and relieving any stress on my eyes. I highly recommend this monitor.
