The color is outstanding and so is the résolution. It will be à welcome addition for years. I love it and intend to chérish it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wobbly stand, no vesa, dead pixels Several dead pixels upon delivery i bought two ur59c monitors, one of them was perfect, the second has a dead pixel dot that is from 3-6 pixels big on the upper right corner of the screen. i noticed the dot as soon as i unpacked the device and ran some tests on it. wiping the area with a cloth and running 4k pixel fixer videos did not help, the black dot is still there. I am also disappointed in this product due to the wobbly stand, lack of vesa, the shaky joystick button and the fact that all input connectors are face down - meaning gravity will pull them off eventually (read other reviews).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as bad as others say! Got it today in Israel, shortly after I ordered from Amazon. Unpacked. Huge comfy box. Big comfy screen. Played 4k on powerful 2015 Mac. No lags, cristal clear. Seems cool. 8k lags on 2015 laptop. Picture is with life colors. There are color enhancments which help the pictures to seem, well, cool. The creepy jumping out plug that someone (and me too in the beginning used muskintape to fix it, plugs in correctly with more power. Place for cables. Convenient on the table. Right dimensions. Good for programming. I love it. Good for powerful Mac. Lags in 2-3 ms more than it needed but I can stand it and I won't buy a new Mac. Way too long HDMI cable. Realistic picture. Cool options for cooler pictures. I like it. Bless you Samsung I'm glad I'm a programmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad ergonomics I've had this for few weeks. It is tall. It has a tall stand that does not allow lowering the display. I am tall, but I am not Lauri Markkanen. If I want to have my arms supported on desk for good ergonomics, I have to look too up and it is bad for eyes. The monitor severely needs an alternative stand attachment that has VESA plate. Please, Samsung, if you read this, I am ready to test such an attachment for you if you send it to me. I'm considering taking the current stand to a workshop where they can cut it and weld a VESA plate to it. This inconsiderate stand ruins an otherwise nice display unsuitable for work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immersive Panel done with taste. Samsung did a great job with this pannel. It's a bringht and clear screen that elevated my office space. The colors are bright and vivid and the response time is really low. Samsung did a great job in the unique design. The thin legs make for a pleasant look while being sturdy. Only thing that's missing is infernal speakers, but I knew that going into the purchase. Xbox/Desktop/MacBook Pro all worked fantastic with this pannel and would definitely buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Construction Quality monitor started separating around the edges two months after using. construction quality is not the best. picture quality is superb, colors vibrant, but that will all be for not, if it falls apart, one year after your manufacturer warranty runs out.

It’s a great compliment to the two 24.5 Curved Samsung monitors I was already using. The screen resolution offers great clarity when I’m watching HD movies and tv shows. This is especially essential when I’m using any software in the adobe suite. The colors and contrast definitely deliver in providing an immersive experience. The curved design and fabric textured finish in itself is very stylish. The feature that I’ve used the most since I received it is the picture by picture. I can’t tell you how convenient it is to have two computers up at the same time without having to switch back and fourth. My games look great, and it's hands down the nicest monitor I've had. It looks great. The bezel could be (more sturdy. Shakes some. But not to bad unless I get a little crazy.

Everything was well packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. The monitor has its own stand mount and cannot be used with any standard monitor mounts, which is a downside if you are wanting to mount it otherwise. When setting up your cables to run, the stand has a cable channel that allows you to hide the cables and not be sore eyesight. The monitor does come with an HDMI cable which is nice but not the other type of cable to utilize the PBP feature. The other video input is DisplayPort which you cannot use an HDMI cable on, so you'd have to do your own research on finding an Active DisplayPort adapter. Once I powered on the monitor the resolution was amazing, not because of the size and in your face. I could see more detail on a larger scale, which is nice for me since I do some design work on my CNC router and laser. This was a major reason why I wanted the 32-inch Samsung monitor. You control all the settings through a simple joypad style button like most Samsung products have, which can be a pain but convenient and out of the way. Along with using it for my CNC work, I use it to play my gaming console as well as I wait on projects to finish on my laser. I can either watch both my laptop and gaming console at the same time or I can choose to switch between them utilizing the DisplayPort. It has an eye saver mode built-in if you plan on using for extended hours at a time but I have not used that feature yet. Going through and adjusting the settings, most of the images or videos that play on the monitor look lifelike! The curve on the monitor is very nice to have especially if you are sitting so close to it using your computer. It definitely gives what you are looking at a better perspective for your eyes since it is about the same distance from the center to the edge of the monitor. So if you are looking for something huge, uses little desk space, amazing picture and resolution, hides cables, lets you use 2 video inputs at the same time or switch between the two. Then this is the monitor for you to get! I would really like to get another one to go side by side!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great 32 inch 4k monitor After using the 32" UR59C Curved 4K UHD Monitor for the last couple.of weeks for video production using Adobe Premier as well as photo editing with Photoshop , I have come to enjoy it's high resolution, great color production, quick response time and refresh rate. This monitor offers PIP but I didn't end up using that feature as it's not something that meets my particular use case. It doesn't cover quite as much of the Adobe color gamut as I would like, and the stand is a bit flimsy for my taste, but the curve on it is perfect. There simply isn't a better monitor out there at this size and price point. If you are looking for 4k curved monitor in the $500 price range, this is the one for you...just maybe invest in a separate stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking 4K monitor with great colors I have been using Samsung's new U32R590 4K monitor over a month now, and I fell in love with this monitor. Not only its design is great front and back (very clean look with cables hidden), but it also produces gorgeous colors, and large 32 inch 4K screen space is so enjoyable to work with. My primary use of this monitor are photo and video editing (Lightroom and Premiere Pro) and music softwares (Sibelius and Pro Tools). I came from 27 inch QHD monitor, which can be still considered to be large, high resolution. However, the difference I can feel is huge; especially when I work with multiple programs and web browsing at the same time. In addition, it is a curved display, and is helpful for me to concentrating the work I do. I also play some video games on this monitor with PS4 Pro; I cannot say for any fast paced games like FPS, but God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn play very smoothly on this even though it's not particularly designed for gaming. Only downsides for me is available ports; it only has one HDMI and one Displayport. Some may complain that the monitor lacks HDR and FreeSync, but for most people this is best bang for the buck IMHO. (I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!! WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT FOR SAMSUNG!! Samsung designed a power cord that DOESN'T EVEN STAY IN THE JACK, which cost me valuable time and energy as I struggled (unsuccessfully) to use TAPE (are you kidding me??) to keep the cord tip in the jack, on TWO different monitors (I ordered a brand new replacement--same problem). This happens because the tip was designed with a very loose fit, and furthermore, it enters the jack UPSIDE-DOWN, so gravity makes it inevitably slip/fall out, causing the screen to flicker periodically, or just turn off completely). WHAT AN ENGINEERING EMBARRASSMENT, for an otherwise BEAUTIFUL curved 4K monitor, from a generally AWESOME display manufacturer. It's so disappointing to see such a beautiful monitor go to waste because of a simple "back-end" design flaw. Oh, and to second the other review I read, HOW CAN YOU GUYS NOT PROVIDE VESA mountability? Or even USB ports? Or DisplayPort? What a shabby effort, Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great editing monitor for the price I use this monitor as my main monitor for editing photos, videos, and playing the occasional video game. I have been very impressed with the color and clarity it produces for each of these tasks. The detail you get when playing the video games on ultra settings is amazing. When editing the photos I am able to clearly see the details that I need to edit and with the color accuracy I'm able to ensure that I have my white balance set correctly. I only wish I had come across this monitor sooner. The packaging: The monitor was packaged in a way that was easy to open and pull the monitor out of. Setup: The stand for the monitor was easy to assemble and even provided a channel for the cables to run through so that you can keep your desk clean. Use: Using this monitor for photo and video editing is solid. For its price point you can't beat the size, color, and clarity. If your in the market for a monitor that you can use to edit photos, videos, and you like to play video games, this one won't disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immersed in 4K All Day... The Samsung 32" UR59C Curved 4K UHD Monitor is sharp out of the box. I have had the pleasure of using this monitor for office work. This ultra high definition monitor is of the highest quality. This curved monitor has the 3 C's covered - color, clarity , and contrast. I especially enjoy the "eye saver" feature. I work 10 to 12 hours a day on a Windows workstation. Eyestrain is an occupational hazard in my career. The sharpness of this display allows me to put down my glasses for most of the work day. The immersive viewing experience is perfect for work and play. I love this #SamsungMonitor. I will continue to enjoy the #SamsungMonitorExperience in my home and office. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for video, bad for reading I bought 2 of these monitors a week ago however I've been attempting to calibrate the monitor ever since. I can't seem to get rid of the odd shade of yellow that appears when viewing white color. Text is hard to focus (not because of the size) even at high scale. eg. 3840 x 2160 at 175% scale. Contrast is meh, quality on 4k video is nice. Since I'm a software engineer, I would not recommend this monitor for my peers, especially we are reading texts most of the time. Can't seem to find a 4K that has factory settings like the ASUS MX279H

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How does this not have VESA mount capability? Seriously, the ONLY 32" CURVED 4K monitor on the planet, and it doesn't have VESA mount capability. Unbelievable. and the inputs are HDMI and MINI displayport, no full-size displayport. No USB hub either. Kind of sad for a $500 display to be missing such basic features. Picture quality is very good, which is obviously the most important part, but this thing should cost $399 given the lack of features.

If I had known that this monitor doesn't have it I wouldn't buy it since stand can't be pulled up or down to adjust to eye level. This purchase was huge Disappointment(with capital D) for me It has ok picture but that doesn't matter since I can't buy another stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, I love it. Awesome clear, crisp picture due to 4K. While 2560 x 1440 resolution was perfect on my old 27" monitor (no need for 4K, this resolution of 3840 x 2160 is the sweet spot on this larger, 32" monitor. I also love the curved screen and the simple, shallow profile.Two complaints - the stand is not height adjustable (only tilt), and Samsung's website states an HDMI an a DP cable are both included, but mine only came with the HDMI. I'll write to them about this and provide an update. I wish it had a higher refresh rate than 60 HZ, that it was G-Sync compatible, and had a couple of USB ports. But it's not sold as a gaming monitor and I knew what features it had when I bought it, so these aren't complaints, just my wish list. I have only had this monitor for a couple of days, but so far, I love it and would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture id Great with one MAJOR Flaw monitor has a great picture and is very responsive but the power port where the power cable plugs in is a absolute disaster and the engineering team that came up should be tasked with finding a way to fix it. the cable will not stay in the port without a serious amount of tape. if you get lucky and it stays plugged in....just wait because after a while it will fall out. the monitor sits on a stationary desk and the plug will fall out with anyone touching it. the monitor will work all day and fall out overnight because of such a poor design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible stand, dead pixels, poor customer service i am extremely disappointed in this monitor and with samsungs customer service. to begin, out of the box there were a couple dead pixels... having just bought the series x i lived with the dead pixels. my monitor sits beside my other 2 dell monitors, beside a window. the dell monitors have never moved, however the samsung monitor was toppled over by barley touching it. review continued below

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love It this monitor totally triumphs my 22" dell 1050 monitors that i am replacing. the screen is crisp and clear and definitely saves my eyes. i am going to order another one so i can just say goodbye to the other two dell monitors and be done with it. i don't know what took me so long to buy one in the first place. both hdmi and displayport run at 60hz even simultaneously on pbp. no dead pixels anywhere. no damage to the screen front or back. the only downers of this i will say is the monitor stand could be a little more bulky as i'd like to push the monitor back further, the the back pivot of the stand will fall off the desktop. but it won't subtract from the score at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wi-Di would be nice i think to only feature missing from this monitor is either built-in 4k wi-di or a powered usb port so a third-party 4k wi-di adapter could be utilized. with a wi-di adapter, the power cord would be the only cord connected to the monitor. other than that, these monitors are awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a nice monitor the monitor offers awesome display quality and sleek design for the price. i use it for remote working and for personal entertainment (streaming tv, music, surfing and gaming) yes, it has limited output ports - 1 hdmi, 1 dp, 1 aux. it's not fit for anyone but if you want to avoid clutter and simplify your environment. frankly, i don't get all the negative reviews on this product, though at first, i was bit hesitant with the choice because of them. this is what i have to say to those trolls posting unfound negativity - if you need a lot of extras - ports, ergo postures for all your odd needs, pay more and go look for other ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sadly I'm disapointed. i'm a big samsung tv guy, but this was a sad experience. i went through 2 monitors in 2 weeks. the first would not be able to stay powered on. the second would get stuck in a loop when in pbp mode. it's my fault for using an apple product and my fault for using cable adapters according to customer service. i guess it's my fault to for buying a product i thought would fit my needs. i was really excited and i'm really thrown off by my experience here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It good i like it it has a nice screen the curve makes it beautiful. now i do not like the back panel that hides the wires and ports on the back mine broke off the first time i put it on. the picture quality is good but the big part is i don't think it is worth the $400 it is worth about $250-300 range because there is nothing really special about it. its more of a tv and not a pc monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great display, no ergo/mounting options the display itself it's very good, nice and vivid colors. the curvature it's very welcome in such size (32"). i have very high bar as i bought it to connect to the macbook pro as replacement of my imac 27" retina 5k... i must say, it can't compare to it, but honestly i couldn't find any monitor to equal that quality, apple retina can't be beaten. this monitor is lacking in design / ergo: 1. no vesa mount!!! in 2020! with this size!! i couldn't believe it when i found out. 2. the stand is fixed. you can tilt the display a little bit, just that. please samsung, consider adding vesa mount to all of your 24+ " monitors thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect! Got two of these to replace my 34" ultrawide. Needed extra vertical real estate. Generally, I can say I'm happy with my purchase. Two 4K monitors, side by side? Awesome! Also, a 1500R curved 4K screen also quite yummy What is lacking in design (what I was searching for but was not available at all): 1. This is not an ultrawide: 5160 x 2160 would be sooooo much better 2. The screen curvature is still too low: my monitors are 70 cm away from my eyes. Curvature to match would be better 3. No VESA mount? Really? It's four screw threads. C'mon... 4. A higher refresh rate would also be welcome What's lacking in execution (what doesn't function well now that I got them): 1. The stand is fixed. You can tilt the monitor a bit, but that's it. With two monitors, I'm stuck with a crack between them. 2. The two monitors have hugely different colour reproduction. Got a match only after serious calibration. Out of the box though, I had to set one to warm 2 to match the other's normal colour tone. Even after that, the colours were significantly off between them. Ultimately I decided to move one of them to my secondary computer as the fixed stand and its consequences + the excessive width of both monitors is simply too much. An ultrawide would be nicer and more useful for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Monitor, lots of problems My wife bought me two of these for Christmas 2019, and since then, it's been nothing but problems. I got the first one set up, and it had a crack in the screen right out of the box. It wasn't dropped by us, and was still factory sealed. I was disappointed, and she was crushed. Thursday the 26th, I had it all boxed back up, and went back to costco to take it back and get it replaced. They handled the replacement, and now I get home and start to setting it up. I can't get both monitors to work at the same time. I can get one working, I can get the other working, but not both. After some serious fiddling and troubleshooting I figured that the issue was with one of the displayport cables I was using. One worked fine, but the other would not work at the full resolution once windows loaded. Back to the stores to go buy a new cable. I did try the HDMI cable, but that refused to load. So I finally have both running, and it is glorious. Dual 32" UHD curved monitors... I've never had it so good. Now, tonight, the 4th of January, I can't get monitor two to turn on again. It will not even power up at all. I double checked it with HDMI from my xbox, and that wasn't working either. After more tearing my desk apart, I find that the power supply is the culprit now. So now I have a dead power supply. This is a $450 monitor, I've got nearly $1000 tied up into my screens,a nd I can't get them to stay working right for more than a week. I'm fed up, and not happy at all. I should NOT have to deal with all of this. The first one shouldn't have been cracked, and the power supply for the second should certainly last more than a week. I am hoping that Samsung support replaces it, or I will be taking the whole thing back for a refund at costco, and never buying another samsung product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good picture quality but problem with power jack The monitor has a good picture quality , however i`m having a problem with the power jack. It`s falling from the monitor quite easy and it stops working, i even can`t put the back on whiteout messing the cable again. If i leave it on one specific side it works , until incidentally i touch the cable and monitor stops , and cant put the back cover. Is anyone having issues like that ? Should i RMA, or its known design flaw ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's OK. only worth the sale price I have had this for only a couple days, and the display is OK. i use it as a second screen for my HP ZBook Studio with a 4K display. If playing a 4k video from say Youtube, i.e. LTT, the color gets saturated between greys and blacks. like grey lettering on black clothing. when using the MATLAB or EXCEL, the black level on HDMI needs to be changed. the photos will show the difference. I would choose a different better display, if i were you. This was on sale for 450 dollars and i also had a 20% rebate from ebates which made it an ok buy. would choose something different though next time.

I was incredibly disappointed to see that the screen had been damaged at some point. The package showed no damage, so it must have happened before packaging or early on. I turned on the monitor and there was a huge crack down the middle. Hopefully they will resolve the issue soon. Will update if I have the chance to reorder and actually use the monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, but Blinks and goes black I have 2 of these monitors, they have a fantastic picture, I love the curved screen, unfortunately one of them distorts a bit then goes black for 3 or 4 seconds - which then causes the second screen to go black for a couple seconds. They both return quickly to normal state, but when leading Webinars and such, the issue is highly problematic. I have gotten the run-around from Samsung Support, so the issue has gone un-resolved. It's unfortunate as I love the dual monitor setup and the picture quality

Eventually will use these for gaming but for the meantime, it's just an overall nice monitor to have and view videos in 4K when needed. I was extremely upset with the fact that they lack any kind of mounting options, especially after I purchased mounts only to look in the back of the monitors and notice nothing there. Don't get me wrong, these are great monitors and the colors are extremely vivid. Overall a great option and would be a 5 star monitor except for what I've noted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wobbly stand, no vesa, dead pixels Several dead pixels upon delivery i bought two ur59c monitors, one of them was perfect, the second has a dead pixel dot that is from 3-6 pixels big on the upper right corner of the screen. i noticed the dot as soon as i unpacked the device and ran some tests on it. wiping the area with a cloth and running 4k pixel fixer videos did not help, the black dot is still there. I am also disappointed in this product due to the wobbly stand, lack of vesa, the shaky joystick button and the fact that all input connectors are face down - meaning gravity will pull them off eventually (read other reviews).

One is attached to a MacBook Pro, while the other is attached to a Lenovo Yoga 920. The Samsung monitor attached to the MacBook Pro turns off the screen when the MacBook Pro goes to sleep, but the Samsung monitor attached to the Yoga 920 does not turn off the screen when the Yoga 920 goes to sleep! Instead, the monitor initially goes to sleep, then wakes up after 5 secs, shows the HDMI icon on top left with a blank screen, turns off the screen, wakes up after 5 secs, shows the HDMI icon on top left with a blank screen and repeats this process again and again... I do not have this problem with other external monitors attached to the Yoga 920. Also, I have checked, rechecked, and updated ALL drivers both in Windows and from Lenovo. My Yoga 920 is working flawlessly otherwise, so this must be a Samsung 4K monitor issue. I know it is true because there are other users on the internet who have the exact same problem and unfortunately, Samsung has not released a driver update to resolve this problem. I love this monitor, but until this issue is resolved, I have to give it 1 star and maybe even return the monitor to Costco.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UHD Upscaling is trash, no VEGA is a bummer I use this monitor with a mid 2012 Macbook Pro and it looks terrible. I know my Macbook only outputs 1080p through the mini displayport, but it looks so bad. I tried my girlfriends 2019 Macbook Air and it looks significantly better. I'm sure I'll enjoy this Monitor once I get a new Macbook that can output 4K, but until then I'm SOL. My 2nd monitor is the 27 inch Qled monitor with 144hz and is only 1440p and it looks way better than this one. The fact that they put it on a stand that barely moves and no support for VEGA mounting is just dumb. Honestly, I should have returned it when I still had the chance. Not worth the money.

I was pleasantly surprised with the 4k quality when watching High Def videos. The overall build quality and features of this monitor are incredibly lacking. Pros = Great Looking High Def Video Cons = No Vesa Mount, Mount not adjustable, Firmware is not upgrade-able, Text is blurry, minimal connections, no usb, poor software adjust-ability, Short power cable, High Price You are better off buying a 40" TV. It will have better colors, more features, better firmware, and it will cost half the price. For a 4k Monitor, it is the worst looking monitor for work tasks i have every used. Poor color, Poor definition, and Poor adjustability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Picture, need to improve audio return I purchased this monitor just five weeks ago, and has an outstanding picture, simple to setup and working in no time, the picture is sharp with no obvious. However, the audio comes only from the monitor itself, therefore you must use the 3.5mm audio jact on the monitor to get audio, the PC/Laptop's audio jacks will not work with this monitor. Most HDMI or DP connections carries audio in both directions. I've solved that problem myself and am happy with the monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waiting and Waiting on Service Requests purchased this monitor a few weeks ago. after just a few days it would take over 15 minutes for the monitor to display anything connected hdmi. sent it in to be repaired. samsung replaced the lcd panel. when it came back the bottom right corner was damaged. almost looks like whoever replaced the panel didn't do so carefully. now i'm waiting again to send it back. again.

The size replaces 2 monitors on the desk. The larger 49" monitors just seemed a little too much for me, price wise and space wise. The specs on this monitor are perfect for casual gaming and browsing videos on the web. When the kiddos or the wife take over the tv in the living room, I can comfortably jump and use this monitor for watching something. The quality of the screen is vivid and sharp. On occasion I'll jump and trade stocks and the monitor has enough room to have two large browser windows open and not have an issue. All around good buy, for a fair price.

The picture and colors are fabulous. I haven't noticed any dead pixels, delivery was fast, and setup was easy. I haven't experienced any of the power plug issues, but i also pushed them in until they solidly clicked. It did take a bit of effort for that but it has held good. My only gripe would be the lack of vesa compatibility. This is, in my opinion, silly, with as long as the vesa standard has been around. I knew that going in though, and almost didn't buy the monitors for that single reason. I do not regret the purchase at all given all that, though, and would happily purchase them again, if i had to do it all over again.

I work infront of laptop almost 12 hours a day and this monitor helps me do multiple things in one 32 inch screen by splits and speeds up my work by double.Quality of display is Extreamly good and actually it help wider visibility. I would recommend this product for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR do not buy this monitor. i got it because i wanted a wide 4k monitor that was moderately priced. but the power adapter issue (which others have mentioned) ruins everything good about this. the power adapter would fall out of the socket randomly. then, after 8 months, it stopped working altogether. it wouldn't power on. i sent it to get fixed, and the repair center cracked it, but sent it back anyway. this is ridiculous!!! granted, the crack isn't a design issue. but samsung can do better than this. both in terms of design and service. as a result, i've spent almost $500, and i'm without a monitor for working at home for weeks.

Don't buy! i bought 2 of these monitors from amazon. both of them have the same issue. both monitors both will lose power / signal intermittently. i switch one of them to my laptop for work and it also has the same issues but not as often. seems like when i'm taxing the monitor playing games at 4k 60mhz is when the problem happens most often. this is not an unusual problem - samsung - fix this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Product but Bad Service from Samsung i purchased this monitor from costco and it worked okay for a few months after which the menu button on the back of the monitor gave up. the toggling function stopped working in the up/down direction and so i was basically not able to change any settings at all except volume :) . the display also has started flickering now for some reason but again i cannot get to the settings so nothing can be done. called the service centre and they said we do not have another option but to send the monitor to a service centre. i mentioned about my work getting affected for which i was told about the samsung policy which "does not care"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor - plug falls out - FIX great monitor, especially for the price. wish i had bought two. that said, i had a problem - the power plug would not stay in the back of the monitor to save its life. it just kept falling out on a daily basis. there is a fix! push the plug into the jack hard till there is a very noticeable clunk when it locks in. (you have to push harder than you would normally want to.) now the plug stays in place. this is not in the manual and tech support missed it. i just was documenting the issue for support and found it by accident. now i am very happy (again) with the monitor.

They work great! i bought two of these monitors after i did research on vesa adapters because i wanted to wall mount them. i have them mounted with articulating arms. the display is awesome. one monitor is dedicated to a geochrome atlas 4k system so i can follow the sun throughout the day for amateur radio. the other monitor is for the computer for the radio transceiver display and computing. the display is sharp, clear and awesome. i am glad i made the choice for these monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great home office monitor bought two of these b/c working at home 40 hours now, and it was time for more real estate. no remorse. brilliant, big, beautiful. use dp cables instead of hdmi, they remember window placements when you boot up again. you'll notice what looks like black unused real estate around the edges, about 1/4" on the top and sides and 1/8" on the bottom, and the screen adjustment menu option to fix it is greyed out. it’s not broken. measure the image, it should be (per the manual) 697.31 x 392.23 mm, and the diagonal is 31.5”. i was two hours of customer service and two shipping labels away from sending mine in to be “fixed” before i figured this out :-). that the menu seems broken is a bummer, but i’m not sending my purchased-new screens in and risking getting some refurbs back with the same issue.

But other than the shader data it does work very excellently and it would do better with build in speakers or a set of speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Monitor Changed My Work Life kudos to samsung for an engineering achievement. its light and connects nicely to a monitor arm ( you do need an adapter). the monitor is amazingly energy efficient. i thought of getting 2 high resolution monitor in the 32" inch realm, but noticed that flat monitors start to distort the view. the 1500u curve changes everything. the 4k resolution goes nicely with a mac book retina display ( its not exactly to the latest apple screens, but it is close. if you are a perfectionist, hold out for a 5k). i code and often manage multiple systems concurrently. this gives me ample real estate and has greatly enhanced my productivity and comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the glare in this monitor is driving me crazy! the light glare from the sun or any light source reflects really badly in this monitor and that is driving crazy. the response time is slow and it isn't curved enough. this is my lesson to never buy anything online before actually physically seeing it first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent color The monitor has excellent quality with fantastic color. Too bad it’s only 60hz but works for most daily tasks. It doesn’t work well for bright rooms and the screen brightness is lacking. Contrast is decent for a LCD but not anything special. Contrast also degrades quickly when not looking at the screen head on.

Excellent resolution, decent brightness, and only 2 outputs but with a HD splitter I had great results. No VESA mount sucks but the stand is excellent, better than I expected. Overall great buy!

Now it has a blacklight but no picture. Windows identifies it. SO, I have a very expensive dead monitor one month out of warranty. What can you do for me?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great monitor with a few problems I use my UR59C for my game consoles and my PC. For the most part, it's pretty good. I enjoy the large curved screen and the resolution. I've used it for the past few months and I've loved this monitor. However, there are a few flaws. The number one complaint everyone has is the lack of a VESA mount. This thing is enormous and takes up a lot of space, so some mounting holes would've been very convenient for many. Unfortunately that's not the case for this monitor. Another is the low refresh rate. 60mhz isn't awful, but it could've been better. Finally, If they wanted this monitor to focus on being high resolution, they could've included HDR as well. HDR improves image quality drastically, yet it isn't present here. Overall, it isn't perfect, but it's still pretty alright for what you're paying for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful picture! I purchased this monitor because I wanted a curved 4k monitor and always trust Samsung (matter of fact, every device I own is Samsung!) I use it for web design, programming, daily work, and personal use. I love the curved aspect-- it feels like it keeps the screen wrapped closely together where I can see everything at once. It connects easily to my Samsung laptop, and has great screen clarity and brightness. Overall, I am VERY happy with this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value 4K monitor I bought this for working from home and in that regard it has been perfectly adequate. Great amount of screen real estate, nice size and proportions, and very good brightness and image quality. Refresh rate maxes at like 60Hz so it probably isn't gonna win any awards for gaming but on some limited casual gaming, it was fine for me. Some negatives that keep it from getting a 5/5 are the following: 1. No VESA mounting option - it uses a proprietary mount and base so this isn't going on an existing mount you may have without some Amazon purchases of adapters and such. 2. The power cable barrel plug doesn't snuggly insert into the barrel jack of the monitor so if you have all of the inputs used, minor movements may disrupt the power connection and cause flickering or straight up loss of power. If you only use one input and don't move it, you're less likely to run into this problem. 3. Some minor light bleed around the bezel of the monitor where it meets the monitor body. So a little minor QA stuff here in manufacturing and might trigger some OCD annoyance, but at this price, it's forgivable for me. All in all, no problems with image quality or day-to-day use in my case and would recommend it to others without a second thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No ability to firmware update, not Mac friendly Purchased this new/direct from Samsung in 2020 to replace a 27" 4k Samsung and use with my Macbook Pro. Followed all the online guides to calibrate picture, looks fine but always felt the 27" Samsung looked better. Has HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, ordered a DisplayPort -> USB-C connector that had no adapters and plugged directly into the Mac, that looked better than HDMI (as only the DisplayPort can do 4k max refresh) but when the Macbook sleeps there is an endless cycle of the Display waking, then the computer, then they both sleep, then the display wakes again. Something about how the DisplayPort/Thunderbolt polling happens. Did not happen with this same cable connected to my 4k Samsung. Eventually bought a Studio Display and never had any of these issues, recently needed a third display and reconnected the Samsung 4k, all the problems are back. Looked into a firmware update, I see a newer version available (this display doesn't say what version it's running but website is 3y newer), no ability to update it. Samsung support claims this display is running the latest firmware. It's being donated to charity and replaced with a non-Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size Monitor This monitor is for my daily use along with my Galaxy Book Pro 4. It's easy to set up. Pairing it with my Book 4 was seemless. The colors from the apps look great. The only thing I wish it had is a pair of speakers. The curve is stunning when looking at 4k videos on YouTube. Overall I'm very satisfied with this upgrade that replace my 28" Samsung monitor.
