The SNC-DF80N model is vandal-resistant with a polycarbonate dome and aluminum die-cast housing that has a heater option for severely cold areas. The camera also uses Sony's SuperExwave CCD technology to achieve sensitivity of 0.6lx, and has a day/night function to improve sensitivity in low-light conditions. Its IP66 ingress protection with inner cable pipe helps prevent water from reaching the camera, and it has Power over Ethernet capability, as well as a CF card slot, for local pre/post-alarm recording.
