Tripp Lite 2-Port Compact DVI / USB KVM Switch w/ Audio and Cable Kit is rated5.00 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great KVM!This is not my first purchase from Tripplite. I also have a couple of their switches, which work flawlessly. Bought this item for an employee. I had tried a couple of other KVM's and docking stations, so I could share a monitor, keyboard, mouse and scanner with a Laptop and desktop. All more expensive. This is the first one that has worked reliably. Had a couple of bumps in the beginning, but mostly due my employee changing devices on the ports and not understand that 2 of the USB ports are dedicated to the mouse and keyboard. Laptop now shares the desktop monitor and since it has a built in monitor, I get 2 screens when using it. Called support and if the device was not so good in the first place, I would find support alone enough to recommend this device. Only regret is I didn't get the 4 port so I am future proofed and can add additional monitors to the desktop should I need later. That is my fault though, not Tripp-Lite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect, a few small issuesThe product for me works well. I switch it between two laptops, that do not natively ave DVI, but with a few adapters (a Mini DP to DVI) I was able to use this device. It is nice and compact, very sleek looking ( not a boxy black), and even supports hot-key changing. There are a few drawbacks that kept this from being a 5-star: 1) Wireless support. The product does not mention in the manuals not to use wireless support. While it does work, it is choppy with the mouse, and laggy with they keyboard (meaning, I sometimes type, and the letters randomly lag behind). There are a total of four ports on the front. the two on the LEFT are where you suppose to plug in the Mouse/keyboard. Not sure the difference, they all-four seem to respond the same. 2) Bright button selector. The button glows green on port A, and Blue on port B. Nice feature however, it is very bright, enough to dimly light up a room at night. Further, it blinks if a signal is not currently being fed to the box, so now I have a disco light :) Not a show stopper, as I place the unit away where I do not see it and use the hot-keys to switch (scroll-lock, scroll-lock, 1 or scroll-lock, scroll-lock, 2) but then without the light, I do not get an immediate idea of which device I am on initially. 3) Stiff cables. The cables are real stiff, and slightly annoying for routing around stuff. 4) DVI front port for the monitor. The unit on the back edge has the DVI ports for laptop 1 and laptop 2, the output DVI port is on the front of the unit, which makes it difficult to route cleanly out of the way (all ports should have been on the back). Maybe it was an insistence on making the device as small as possible, but most other units usually have all ports on the back, except USB ports, which are on the front as well, and convenient there (unless you store the unit away to avoid the lights, item #2 above) All these issues are minor, but reduced the product to four stars. I would still recommend to others.
