The SRXCOOL12K SmartRack 12,000 BTU 230V Portable Air Conditioning Unit pumps 12,000 BTU of cooling power into your IT environment to prevent shutdowns, malfunctions and failures caused by overheating or fluctuating temperatures. Part of the SRCOOL line, this compact, portable unit is perfect for server rooms and other IT environments with heat-sensitive equipment in areas that facility air conditioning can't reach.

The self-contained SRXCOOL12K is capable of cooling a small room using its louvered vent. A built-in evaporator expels the condensed water through the directional exhaust duct, eliminating the need for a drain tube, drain pan or water collection tank.

You can also use the included flexible tube to aim the cold air precisely where it's needed most, such as an overheated rack enclosure or an equipment hot spot. The SRXCOOL12K also dehumidifies and filters the air, providing better air quality that can enhance equipment performance with little power consumption.

Designed for quick, simple installation, the SRXCOOL12K rolls on durable built-in casters and plugs into a standard Schuko CEE7 outlet. It's programmed to restart automatically after power failures, and you can set the built-in timer for unattended shutdown and startup.

By installing the optional SRCOOLNET remote management accessory (sold separately), you can also monitor temperatures, receive alerts, review logs and control settings from anywhere via SNMP, web browser, SSH or telnet.

Tripp Lite Intl Portable Cooling Unit Air Conditioner 3.4kW 230V 12kBTU is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product meets all expectations The easy set up, and function are just what was needed to cool down a small IT closet. Very satisfied with its performance, especially like the continuos running fan feature. The space cools quickly and the fan keeps the air circulating effectively so that the unit does not always need to be in cooling mode. Quiet too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've deployed these, or seen them deployed in several dozen SMB environments where the so-called "server room" wasn't actually designed for the task at hand. I've never heard anybody complain about them, and the couple of times I've seen them fail, Tripp Lite support has had the issue handled quite quickly. They do a decent job mitigating the heat that a standard rack at around 1/2 density throws off in a small, closed room. They also appear to help mitigate humidity issues, which is a huge concern where I am (Houston, TX).Overall, a great value. I recommend Tripp Lite's coolers whenever I'm asked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just bought an SRCOOL12K with the SRCOOLNET and the EnviroSense probe to replace a ersidential portable AC that was "ducted" into our fully enclosed rack. By "ducted" I mean duct tape and dryer vent shoved into places. The SRCOOL12K has real ductwork for both the exhaust and the supply, so piping it directly to the enclosure was easy. The SRCOOLNET gave me fits out of the box, but a quick call to TrippLite customer service (US based and English speaking I might add!) and they had me up and running in less than 30 minutes. The only thing I need to get used to is the unit beeping when the probe directs it to change temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is a solid performer Having used other brands, they all worked for a period of months then started deteriorating. This is, by far, the best cooling system for computer rooms I have ever found. The ability to vent the condensate with the heat makes the unit ideal in a server room without a drain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had this unit in place and functioning for about 6 months in my 13.5’ by 8.5’ server room and I love it.Gone are the days of an overly cool work environment for the people and no more worrying if the servers are too hot. It does exactly what it is supposed to; it supplements the building air conditioning to better suit the server room.Unlike my older unit that this unit replaced I no longer have to empty a drain pan, and cleaning the filter is so much easier too. It is small and compact at 33” high, 12.5” wide, and 20.5” deep; and it is on casters so it is easily shifted around the room for maximum effectiveness. Even on high it is no louder than my server rack fans, and I hardly ever hear the actual server fans anymore, so I would say that it is rather quiet.I have the standard 110v North American version of this unit, it plugged right in the wall and the exhaust ducting was the exact same as the unit it replaced. If you have never had one of these in your server room it would be a good idea to have a qualified air conditioning technician install the exhaust duct work, as the ducting that is supplied with the unit is designed to be used with the included window adapter and is not long enough to be routed up and out of the server room. The control panel has a lock button that even disables the power button, making it almost impossible to accidentally turn it off. It has a speed selection for the fan, and a digital temperature selection that goes all the way down to a chilling 60 degrees Fahrenheit in one degree increments to help you find that just right setting for your environment. It can be set to run on a timer or constantly and it has a separate de-humidifier function that can be used instead of using to cool. I am very impressed with this unit and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supplemental air conditioner.
