Novell releases service packs for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for VMware every 12 to 18 months. Once a new service pack is released, customers have a standard six-month window in which VMware will deliver the critical support they need for the previous service pack, while planning for test and implement the new service pack release. With the Long Term Service Support program, customers receive a minimum of 12 additional months, for a total of at least 18 months, to plan and deploy the updates in their data center. During this time VMware continues to provide the support needed for issues that may arise during these critical periods.
