LTO-4 Half-height tape drive, internal, kitted, includes Backup Exec QuickStart software, data cartridge, cleaning cartridge, SFF8484 to 7-pin 1x SATA style cable, LSI PCI express SAS HBA and product documentation.

Quantum's LTO-4 half-height tape drive offers the same performance, capacity, and reliability of competitor’s full-height LTO-4 tape drives at a more attractive price point. Its’ simple space saving half-height form factor uses the latest industry standard interface -- Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) -- to allow for easy installation and integration into your datacenter, while providing the same performance as full height LTO-4 drives. Quantum’s LTO-4 HH tape drives also protect your investment by providing native AES 256-bit data encryption, WORM functionality, and backward read and write compatibility with LTO-3 media and backward read compatibility with LTO-2 media. By utilizing less power than many LTO Full-height tape drives, Quantum’s LTO-4 HH drive provides customers with a more efficient and “greener” solution.
Quantum’s exclusive FastSense™ variable speed feature has been improved for LTO-4 HH tape drives. The FastSense feature monitors the speed of incoming data and matches the speed at which the drive streams data more effectively than the competitor’s LTO drives. The result is that Quantum’s LTO-4 HH tape drives complete backups faster, using less power than any other LTO-4 drives available. In addition, Quantum also provides exclusive features like SmartVerify™ to concurrently verify all data written to the tape, virtually eliminating the time consuming verify pass during backup operations.
And with Quantum’s LTO-4 HH drives, security is now at its highest level as drives feature AES 256-bit data encryption. Encryption on LTO-4HH tape drives is hardware based, allowing for the highest level of security without any loss of performance during the encryption process.
