Know your gear
A bright white direct thermal paper label stock for printing high-contrast, black, visible light images in cold temperature applications. It has a special acrylic-based cold temperature adhesive that survives at temperatures as low as -65º F and applied at temperatures as low as -20º F. Ideal for use with freezer-grade materials. Not recommended for use when exposed to sunlight or when exposed to extreme high temperatures.

Good label for check-in kiosk, nametags
We chose this label, Z-Select 4000D, to use for a security tag/name tag check-in application for several reasons: 1) needed a compact label 2) needed something very white for printing visibility 3) needed a label that did not leave residue or stickiness on clothing 4) needed a direct thermal print medium 5) needed a label that could take some abuse from children. This label was designed for low temperature/freezer applications, but it had all the required characteristics. Although it is somewhat more expensive than other types, it works for us.
