Celerra file-level retention is an EMC Celerra network server software feature that protects files from modification or deletion until a specified retention date. When you use FLR, you can archive data to file-level retention storage on standard rewritable magnetic disks through NFS or CIFS operations. FLR enables you to create a permanent, unalterable set of files and directories, and ensures the integrity of data. At the NAS level, FLR provides an option to retain necessary data to meet WORM requirements.
