Product Reviews
Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Some of the features I find helpful are the create PDF feature, API integration and traceability of change log records. Valuable Features:* Role Tailored UserExperience* Supported Web Service enabling pages and codeunit* EnhanceReporting become more user friendly* Added NAV Security Feature* Job QueueCapability* Offer API integration* Sales Credit Memo to Reverse a Sales Entryby using Copy Feature* Create PDF feature* Tracebility of Change LogRecordsImprovements to My Organization:Now, month-end reports are highly reliable and always ready on-time. In addition, Focus Point only needs four staff to compile all staff and finance reports, instead of ten. The work-hours required to compile critical reports has dropped by 60%, Sales reports are absolutely up-to-date, which means executives can create action plans in response to real-time trends. With integrated sales and inventory data, executives ensure they avoid purchasing excessive stock. "Now, we can respond to customer demand very quickly by clearing obsolete fashion items and investing in high-selling products.Focus Point can also open new stores more easily. It only takes a day for us to roll out our core technology in new stores, This makes it easier for us to expand, and makes our franchise business more attractive. The company president believes the end-to-end platform has empowered executives. Dynamics NAV helps us make smart decisions that have a direct impact on our bottom line. As a result we have increased profit margins and improved cash flow. This technology is delivering real business value.Room for Improvement:Batch Processing Functionshould be developed to schedule running in the background at nighttime for posting a Purchase Receipt/Invoice, Sales Order/Invoice,Day End Statement or Item Journal Adjustment to minimize the Classic NAV tablelocking.Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions. Rated 4 out of 5 by Cloud solution is easy to start, and this makes it easier. Clear budgeting... Valuable Features:* Stable* Well known* Easy to develop and maintain.Improvements to My Organization:Cloud solution is easy to start, and this makes it easier.Room for Improvement:Price for small organizations in the public sector should be less. They should make it open for independent developers, offering a free development license.Use of Solution:I've used it for two years.Stability Issues:I really like the stability.Scalability Issues:The new version has different ways to grow.Customer Service:There's a big community that helps and I like that.Technical Support:7/10Previous Solutions:I switched because this has better features.Initial Setup:A lot of available documentation makes deployment easy.Implementation Team:We used a vendor team, Hortus Digital, who were good.ROI:It's good.Cost and Licensing Advice:A long history gives me the feeling that the product will survive for a long time if they make improvements according to my advice. Now it is really useful for middle companies.Other Solutions Considered:It depends of the country and industry, one is AX, SAP, Sage X3 plus country local specific options.Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:I am IT consultant for NAV June 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by With it, our inventory control is improved, but it needs cloud deployment and better documentation. Rated 4 out of 5 by It provides us timely access to management information, but it lacks reliable IT hardware and infrastructure both before and during implementation. Valuable Features:* ERP's major objective is to integrate all departments and functions across the organization and branches onto a single computer system that can serve all the department's particular needs.* Timely access to management Information.* Business Process Automation.Room for Improvement:* The non-delivery or non-availability of reliable IT hardware and infrastructure both before and during implementation.* Pricing* Proper training from skilled personnelROI:Annual ROI = 7%Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions. Rated 3 out of 5 by Improving although still requires some attention Valuable Features:Flexibilty to allow change however this is its weakness as well. If you over develop core functionality it willing wrong.Improvements to My Organization:Viewability of management data across all group companies. Introduction of consistent processes.Room for Improvement:where different programmers have been let loose the product has a number of view inconsistencies and there are still issues that were in 4. Many bells and whistles have been added and some are not quite complete. Overall it is improving and becoming a more mature product.Use of Solution:1 year on 2012. 8 years with 4Deployment Issues:Always down to number of development changes made to the core functionality. Data is also difficult to transform on day one.Stability Issues:As above, although testing minimises this riskScalability Issues:so far, so good. Better scalability than 4.Customer Service:Depends on the Partner as Microsoft tend to leave support to their Partners. This is the strategy they have which does mean that they may not get direct user feedback.Technical Support:As above, can be a little hit and missPrevious Solutions:NoInitial Setup:The setup requires advance thought as it is difficult to amend once transactions are in the system.Implementation Team:I have worked with a number of vendors and would say if you have the expertise in-house then use that.ROI:Difficult to measure but definitely improved working practises and management informationOther Solutions Considered:SAPOther Advice:With care it is a good product but be aware that the business should change its processes rather than change the system wherever possible else you will have issues following deployment.Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.
