The SMC2635W EZ Connect Wireless Cardbus Adapter features high transmit power configurable up to 100 milliWatts (mW) of 20 dBm. It provides an operating range up to 1,155 feet. SMC2635W supports high data rates of up to 11Mbps, with auto-fallback capability to 5.5, 2, 1Mbps. This adapter provides a high level of security by supporting both 64/128-bit WEP encryption and the new Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). It also supports 802.1x for user authentication to ensure only authorized users can access the resources of the wireless network. Moreover, profile management software allows the new wireless notebook adapter the ability to save multiple wireless settings corresponding to different locations or networks
