A REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE
Modernizing Banking From the Inside Out
As financial services organizations face growing pressure to adopt AI amid supply constraints and pricing volatility in the PC market, the lender prioritized solutions that could be deployed quickly, reliably and at scale.
Even established financial institutions are feeling pressure to modernize. This housing lender wanted to take a bold step by embedding AI into day-to-day operations to improve customer experience and streamline internal workflows. The lender had a vision but needed the right partner to help identify, integrate and scale the most impactful tools across its teams.
That’s where CDW came in. The team helped define a practical AI roadmap aligning device selection, software and services so AI could be embedded into daily operations without over-engineering or delay.
THE TURNING POINT
Building an AI-Driven Workflow Ecosystem
Rather than chasing the newest chip, the lender focused on getting AI into more hands faster at a cost that could scale. Working with CDW, the team aligned devices, software and services to support everyday AI use cases like productivity help, internal search, document processing and decision support.
Key components included:
- End-to-end AI PC workstations powered by Intel chipset and Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 238V vPro® processors to support seamless integration of AI and machine learning technologies
- Microsoft Copilot to accelerate task completion and boost productivity
- AI-powered search and retrieval tools to help employees find information faster and support policy-related questions
- Intelligent document processing (IDP) for automated data extraction and classification
- AI-driven risk management using machine learning and neural networks
- Virtual assistants and internal agents to support collaboration and internal service delivery
Core™ Ultra 5 (238V-class) processors deliver dedicated on-device AI acceleration and around 40 TOPS on the NPU, helping AI-enabled workflows run efficiently at scale.
This integrated approach helped the lender cut down repetitive tasks, improve the speed and quality of decisions, and create a more efficient experience for both employees and customers. The devices were selected as vPro-capable with the option to enable Intel® AMT later if needed.
